OOC: This thread is for lurkers who want to be able to RP with us and for writers to explore other character ideas. It is NOT a thread to EVER use Evo powers. This is for the "normal" guys in a "normal" day. No NPC may be created with any power or any infomation about Evos or either Agency that isn't already public. I reserve the right to delete and stop posts.

I ask for every NPC that is written, a name, age, and two sentences about both personality and appearance is given. This should be just enough to guide how you'll write and help us to respond accordingly to the characters.

Also, if anyone wants to give some description about the themepark and submit it, feel free to do so! I'm starting it out vague and we can build from here.

IC:

Going to Wild Adventures themepark was always a fun time. It had it's own waterpark, a zoo-type of train ride and walk through, plenty of rollercoasters and other rides, a great section for kiddies complete with a petting zoo, some interesting shows, and the usual fair-type games and eating booths, though it also had a pizza and burger house.

Some of the most interesting parts about a themepark is the type of people that one can meet. Let's see who is here today...

characters

Player: AriyaLauna
Name: Kayla
Age: 12
Appearance/Personality: Bubbly, outgoing, and clueless about stranger safety, Kayla is always wandering aorund chatting with the next perseon near her. She has dark, tanned skin and sun-bleached, blonde hair that's cut to her chin.

Player: Agentgirl112
Name: Zachary
Age: 13
Appearance/Personality: Calm yet a little outspoken, Zach has an opinion on every subject possible. And if he doesn't, he'll always get onto a subject that's related to the one he missed. His brain is full of mundane thoughts and facts that his mouth can't help but blurt out. He has fair skin- not pale, not completely tanned. His ear-length black hair naturally moves out of his face, though he sometimes moves it behind his ear.

Kayla was waiting in line for the greatest waterride on the park, and was bored within five minutse of doing so. She started babbling to the boy bear her.

"Hi, I'm Kayla. This is the best waterride in all the universe. I love falling down and watching the wall of water coming up at me! What's your name? What's your favorite ride?"

Zach quickly turned to the girl standing next to him. A few people had already moved out of line. They didn't have enough patience. Slowly but surely, the line was moving forward. He was nearly jumping up and down with excitement.

"I'm Zachary! You can call me Zach. I've already been on twice today, and I'm prepared to keep going until either I get sick or the park closes!" He nodded quickly. "My favorite ride has to be the ferris wheel. They made it exactly 15 years ago today! Did you know that?"

Kayla blinked her surprise, and then glee at Zach's random fact, "Really? I didn't know, that's really neat though! They really should announce things like that or something. Wouldn't it be neat if they had a trivia quiz thingie to win a prize like free passes and free food for a year or something? You know what I think is better than the ferriswheel though? I like the swing ride, because you can see everything and everything's open and it's faster than the ferriswheel. Much better. Oh, oh, and I bet I can ride more than you can!" She loved making challenges like that. They were fun, and then she had a friend to run around the whole park riding everything with if the challenge was taken good-naturedly, which was the way she proposed it.

Zach continued to nod. Now he was speaking at the same time, though. It gave the optical illusion that his mouth was moving at twice its normal speed. "They really should! There was just this little tiny flyer next to the ferris wheel, but that was a couple of months ago! They said they'd have something for everyone who went on a ride today. I haven't gone yet, but it's always better to go later in the day, because most people have left by then." That had been on a small chart on the back of a flyer for the park. "I bet you can't!" He laughed. Now they were getting loud, and although a lot of people in the crowd were talking, the two voices could be heard more than the others. Probably because they didn't stop to breathe very often.

Kayla nodded, talking about themepark facts was one of her favorite subjects, "I SO can! I'm the queen of the park! And yes, I like to get here later actually. If you come at like three, you get here right as the morning crowd is leaving and the afternoon crowd is still not here. That's the very best time, because then you hardly have to wait for anything! You know, I can't believe I missed the whole thing about the ferris wheel. I guess I haven't been over that way very much. I really like the water rides, actually. Sometimes I spend all day in the wave pool. But today I'm going to beat you out on every ride in the park!" She practically pranced around in the little circle she was in, and her speed and voice rose to match her new friend's. Oh, goody, this was going to be fun!
PostPosted: Mon Jul 31, 2006 9:22 pm

Zach was overflowing with confidence. Usually no one actually cared about his facts. "If you're the queen, I must be the king! When you get here a couple of hours before it closes, you have less time to go on rides, but you usually can go on even more, since there's like no lines. Not many people stay until closing time, because some of the parks stay open a really long time, and they want to get a really good night's sleep. And even more people leave when it rains, so that's the best time to come! You get all wet, and the roller coasters are always faster than ever." He bounced around, making sure not to bump into anyone. Now, they were almost at the front. He was getting happier every moment. Soon they'd be done with the wait, and they'd be on the ride.

"Oh, yeah! I LOVE to ride at night, because when it's dark you have no idea what the rides are doing and you can be all surprised when you can't see anything, which makes it a million times more fun. Momma won't let me come when it's raining though, because she says that it's too dangerous, something about lightening," Kayla waved her hand as if bothering with an annoying fly, "But she doesn't ALWAYS know when it's gonna rain, so then I get to enjoy things, and that's a lot of fun, because you feel like your doing something forbidden," she giggled, not exactly a rebellious teen, it was still something of an exciting game to do something her mom told her not to do.

"OOoh, we're next...I hope we getta sit right up front! I like the front on this one, but the third row's really good too, 'cause that's where you get REAL wet!"
PostPosted: Mon Jul 31, 2006 9:45 pm

"Yeah! When you ride at night, even if you've been on it a million times, it's still surprising when you take a turn or go upside down or something. I only go on the wooden rides when there's lightning, because it doesn't conduct electricity. But there's not a lot of wooden ones anymore, because more and more are metal. But the wooden ones can be fun, too! But sometimes they're really dangerous." One of the ride coordinators calmly asked him to stop jumping around. "And sometimes you don't know when it's going to be really hot, so when you get there, you can have ice cream or go on the water rides even more! Sometimes it's actually better to stay in the back, because you get even more wet than in the front. Sometimes a wave will pass by you completely when you're in the front." Now they were just about to get on. Just because he knew exactly what was going to happen didn't mean he wasn't excited about it.

"Yeah, that's what I just said," Kayla hopped into the ride, picking seat number three because she felt like being the wettest. She was all excitement. It was sssooo contagious!

"The front's fun 'cause you getta see the big wave, and the back's fun 'cause you get all wet! Wooden rides are neat, I like the way they rock you around. Metal ones are fun, but they make 'em so smooth, you might as well be in a car. I don't wanna feel like I'm in a car when I'm on a roller coaster, I wanna feel like I'm on a roller coaster. Right? I mean, what's the point of these uber-smooth rollers, it's silly! I like the ones that go backwards and frontwards though, those are really neat. Oooh, but the spinners where you can spin them yourself and go upside down and flip over and over are more exciting than any roller coaster!"

Zach jumped in after Kayla, sitting in the seat next to her. "This is going to be so fun!" He exclaimed, barely able to keep himself in his seat.

"The best part is when they have the water guns on the side of the ride, and random people can just shoot you with them and get you all wet! Sometimes people don't even know they're there, though. But I mean, if you go on a ride, you want to have fun! You want to hear every clank and creak that is possible! Then you can be scared and excited at the same time. It's cool when you go backwards, so you have no idea what's coming. Sometimes they keep you upside-down, and when I go back upright, I don't even think I was upside-down!"

"Totally! But when it's quiet, it's fun to listen to everyone else too. Some people are sssooo funny," Kayla obviously had no idea how funny the two sounded right now, "Did you know that these water rides take hundreds and hundreds of gallons of water everyday? My brother says it's a big waste of natural resources or something, but my teacher said it's renewable, so I don't know what the big deal is. He's such a freak, I'm so glad Momma said I was old enough to go alone this year. The best part is that I'm not old enouhg to watch my little brother or sister, so if they want to come, my brother's got to too, so I don't even have to watch no one! I have the whooole park to myself. That's why I'm queen."

Kayla was all puffed up in pride, but the sudden jerk of the ride going forward sort of ruined that image and her hands flew down to the bar as her body jumped forward. After the initial surprise, Kayla shook it off and continued her rapid fire talk, "Do got any brothers or sisters? I think only siblings are ssoooo lucky! Except when mom or dad get mad, then it's nice to have them around..."

"Some people will yell really loud the entire way! It's really funny to hear them sometimes, because it's usually adults that scream more than kids. Funnny, though. They're supposed to be a lot braver. I guess that's because sometimes children get too scared and can't go on the ride." There were still people looking at the two. "Well, it depends on the ride. Certain rides, like the ones where you go down in inner tubes, it takes more energy to renew them. Ones like this one are easier to use, so it's not as bad for the environment."

Zach grabbed onto the bar in front of him just as the ride began moving. His foot was quickly moving up and down, trying to contain the rest of his excitement. "I don't have any siblings, but I have a dog! When my parents get mad, its usually because they get mad at one of us, or even both! That's happened before."

"You have no siblings AND you have a DOG? That is SSOoooo lucky!" Kayla literally squealed at the idea, "My dad's allergic to dogs, so we can't have any. I wish he was allergic to my brothers and sister. He doesn't go on any rides, he says they bore him. I really think he's scared. My mom and sister scream the loudest though... Kim is SUCH a screamer! I'm really glad my brothers aren't like that. Once though, my oldest brother, Kyle, threw-up on a ride. It was really gross, but really funny...."

Kayla looked up, up into the sky as the ride began to climb the big mountain, "I bet you can't keep your hands up while we go down!"
