I think it depends on the breed. YOu might want to see if there is some kind of a rabbit rescue, like for dogs, online. There is no better way to get a pet and I believe they are cheeper that way too.

Well I guess the cheapest pet bunny would be double the price of one somebody eats at least?
P.S. Watershipdown put me off eating bunnies for good.

Why not adopt one from a rescue place, instead of buying from a petstore?

Yeah that's what I said. It sounds really evpensive to buy all of those things. I guess a dog is more expensive though. You know I have never eaten rabbit before and I hope I never do. That does not sound appatizing at all. =P

A pet rabbit can be anywhere from $0-$30 ish. Breeding quality is generally but not always around $35-60 and show rabbits can be anywhere from $30ish - hundreds and sometimes probably even thousands.
The most I have payed for a rabbit however is only around $100.
HUtches can be anywhere from $0-a couple hundred.
In my town there is a "buy, sell, and trade" that people post stuff in, so try checking out something like that.
Rabbit pellets aren't too expensive. If you buy a huge 20kg bag, (around 80ish pounds i think), it will probably last one rabbit over a month and in my town they are only about 11 dollars Canadian.
Timothy hay is a good thing to feed, but don't feed to much, because the pellets are the main staple. For one rabbit hay shouldn't be to expensive either. I don't know how much though because we bale our own hay.
