I was there once. Let me tell you that the stones really do "hum" when you place your hand on them! It's so cool. It's really neat to walk around the stones (even the small ones around Stonehenge itself). You get this feeling that I can't describe....it's like a peace, a harmony.
I want to go back so bad!

I was there in the 80's and at that time, you could walk right up to the Big stones and touch them. Now, I understand that you can't do that. I was with a big group and was not allowed to watch the sunrise....but someday I will go back and I will......

Avebury and those areas are better in terms of spiritual connection; Stonehenge has sold out entirely.

I've never been over there... I would like to go though, that and to all sorts of places around the world, but for now, I'm stuck in the USA, and can only go as far as I have money to drive me... (which isn't very far, gas prices are nuts, but don't get me started on that one.... )

I went their once a couple of years ago when I was visiting Lime Regis on the coast. They've fenced it off now though so you couldn't touch the rocks (which is fair enough seeing how people could damage them) but it was pretty cool, and everyone was silent which made seem really solemn and mystical. You don't appreciate how big and old it looks until you actually go and see it

Ya, that is one good thing about being an adult lol. you get things like no curfue, get to drive... although it's not as fun as it seems, because with no curfue comes work early in the morning, not really wanting to stay out all night, with driving comes gas and insurance and giving friends rides, grocery shopping... the lists go on, enjoy being a kid while you can.

I've heard so many stories about Stonehenge I wouldn't know where to begin to tell you! It undoubtably is one of the most majickal places on this Earth, I'll tell you that.

Hmm.
I've wanted to visit Stone Henge since I was a little girl. I've always felt some kind of connection to it, just by seeing pictures and film on TV. I'll be getting to go this June during a trip for American Music Abroad. I'm so excited! Even though it's closed 364 days out of the year, I feel that maybe just be being closer to it in location with reveal somthing I've been trying to peice together for ages.
The same goes for several castles I'll be visiting.
