Who: Naruto & Rikku
Where: Rikku's Machina Workshop
What: Showing Naruto her shop, sleeping together & most likely sleeping together
When: Just after leaving Moochi's house in Finding Warmth...
Rikku was antsy. As much as she loved spending time with Yuna & Tidus the promises of what tonight would bring hung over her thoughts, taunting her all day. So as soon as it seemed "Today" was turning into "Tonight" she had started hinting that perhaps Naruto would like to come & see her workshop, now.
It was not until they were riding on her hover-cycle though that the full weight of anticipation struck her. She gunned the machina as fast as she could safely maneuver it.

Naruto was having somewhat similar thoughts that day, except when his mind turned to his hunger and he disappeared into the kitchen to consume a few bowls of tasty ramen! But he did start to grow anxious and restless, trying to will the sun move its trek across the sky faster. When Rikku had started hinting at leaving for her workshop, he was unfortunately busy with eating more ramen, but he only ate two bowls! Once the two said their goodbyes and they were onboard her hovercycle did the situation really hit Naruto. He gulped and tightened his hold on her waist, knowing tonight might change everything!

She grinned as the shinobi's grip tightened, a shiver running through her body. Rikku spread open the throttle over Bass'ken Lake. Slowing for the woods & home she could feel her heart racing. Tonight Naruto would see her workshop. Tonight he would stay by her side.
Her heart lurched in her chest and her body hinted at other things that would surely occur as well. Rikku blushed hotly. Yes. She was ready for that too.
Flashing a grin at Naruto she angled the cycle behind the house past Remus' shed. There a small barn stood, brown & grey -weathered but in good condition. Flicking a switch on her cycle a door on the barn opened for her & she drove inside.
The interior was warm & glowed warmly with circular lamps that were currently set to a low output level. Although there were a few more stalls, only one had a name about the door: Timex.
Rikku looked at it only a moment, briefly wondering if Relm & Timex were still out somewhere with Keme. Then she completed her shut-down of the cycle & hopped off, giving Naruto's hand a light tug & smiling brightly at him. "Come on!"

Naruto tried to steer his thoughts away from what could possibly happen that night, still a little unsure, even though Rikku told him earlier she was ready. He shook his head a bit, trying to think more innocent things and he was glad Rikku finally parked her hovercycle and hopped off after her. He squeezed her hand lightly when she tugged on it and he flashed her a smile, "Lead the way!"]

Rikku happily complied, skipping around the side of the house. She called out a cheerful "Hello Maree!" spotting the tell-"tail" pink tail tip bobbing above a row of flowers -still blooming despite the season. Only a soft mew & an extra flick of the tail indicated that the cait cit Amaryllis had heard but it was enough for Rikku.
blithely she pulled the ninja inside, greeting those gathered, telling Tien that "no, Ruto's not here disa san" to which the kunkun pouted a moment before flying off to play cow-kun with the yellow persekitty, blowing a kiss to Aiden in his hammock, hugging Trelweny as she took Theron & mbar off to bed, & sticking her tongue out at the Weasleys twins' teasing as she finally slipped into the magic door.
Her workshop was clean but slightly cluttered. Pieces of machina in various stages of disrepair cluttered every possible nook & cranny. There was a smooth, cleared spot on the silver metal workbench in front of a high stool that was clearly the Al Bhed's work area. A small closet with its door left open revealed Rikku's kimono & cowgirl outfit, as well as something fluttery & thin but not quite transparent in the same sunset hues as her scarf. Dreav flew from Rikku's hair where he had been hiding to a white metal birdcage in the corner. It showed up easily against the softly glowing blue walls reminiscent of the inside of the Celsius. Like Relm's studio there were large windows & a skylight for light, but instead of wooden blinds Rikku's workshop had a substance that was somewhat shiny -like metal or plastic. Each window had a button to mechanically draw the shades up & down. They could even be tilted to let in light in angles when shut.
Rikku released his hand once inside, running to the bed haphazardly made with a sunset comforter positioned in front of the largest picture window & threw herself upon it. She laughed, rolling on her belly to face Naruto & see how he liked her place.

Naruto greeted everyone he saw, a happy smile on his face, even though he was a bit nervous, espeically upon seeing Aiden! But he calms his nerves when Rikku pulls him through a door and he stops short as he gets a good look around. A slow smile creeps across his face as he steps in furthre, clearly impressed by what he saw, "Wow, my room doesn't even look this cool!" he says, curiously looking about, refraining himself from pressing any buttons or messing with anything.

Beaming from ear to ear Rikku leaps from the bed to hug the shinobi tight. "Oh! I'd hoped you'd like it!"
Kissing his cheek marks she pulls back & tilts her head to the side. "Now was it that bad coming here? Really?"

Naruto blushes when his cheek is kissed and he rubs the back of his head as he smiles sheepishly, "No, it wasn't! Guess I let my imagination get the best of me! So, can you show me exactly what you do in here?" he was stalling, but he didn't want to rush into anything. Figuring that Rikku wanted to show him her workshop because she had things to see probably would distract her from other reasons on why they were there alone, if you didn't include the annoying bird.

Speaking of the annoying bird, Dreav watched with blood-red eyes from a swing in his cage. If he was not so tired from playing with his sister he might have made more protest at the ninja audio's presence in his home. His mother's words had a little to do with his tolerance as well.
"Sure!" Rikku was so thrilled to have Naruto there that other reasons for him being there were not chief on her mind. Bouncing away, she started to point to things -telling him that this piece was a screen needing to be fixed, that was for a computer for a nav terminal, and other random things. She quickly hid a grid looking contraption and a small orange velvet bag remarkably similar to the one that held her dress spheres. As if it never happened she showed him the plans for the Celsius, rolling them out on the workbench. "I was hoping to work on this with Kaylee... but I've not seen her in forever! It's the Celsius! Our airship & the sweetest machina I've ever had the chance to work on!"

Naruto soon got caught up at looking at all of Rikku's things, even though most of it went over his head. He looks over the blueprints, clearly impressed, "Wow, that would be so cool to ride in something like that!" he says.

"Oh, yeah!! It's the best!" She turned to look at Naruto and a strange little smile brightened her face. "Well... it was the best..."

Naruto paushes in his enthusiasm to look at Rikku and he suddenly becomes confused, "It was?" he asks, tilting his head.

"Yeah! Was!" Grinning Rikku put a finger to Naruto's cheek & traced one of his whisker marks there. "You are far better than any machina, Ruto!"

Of course Naruto really doesn't get the implication, a truly clueless look on his face, "But I'm not a machine!" he says.

That made Rikku giggle! "Of course not! You're warm & soft & comfortable & better than any machina!" Wrapping her arms about his neck she rubbed her nose against Naruto's. "I used to get the biggest thrill riding the Celsius... but I get an even bigger thrill with you."
