A young golden lioness was laying in the tall grass of the open plains, her pale eyes locked on a gazelle in the distance. Her tail swished back and forth in the grass, making it move and rustle. The small herd of gazelles looked her way and she stopped her swishing instantly. They began to graze again, but were obviously more suspicious of the are. Tui cursed her habits and moved silently towards another spot, hoping to suprise them.
What she didn't know was that there was a very large ditch ahead of her, and her focus was still on her growling stomach and the delicious looking creatures ahead of her. She stepped down on air, blinking a few times as she felt there was no ground. She looked down and let out a sqeuak of distress as she tumbled down into the ditch. She groaned as she got up, and heard the small hooves of gazelles running away. The young lioness sighed heavily and angrily smacked the ground with her paw before pulling her now dusty self from the hole.

Vian was on the move again. For some reason the last few days had seemed emotionally tiring in his travels. Perhaps it was his recent encounter with a certain blue female, or maybe he was starting to wonder if he'd ever stumble across his sister. His ears pulled forward slowly as he heard the rush of gazelle. "Mm...?" he breathed, noting that it seemed something had startled them. So he headed off through the grasses until he came to the edge of ditch just as a brown and orange young female was emerging. "You alright, Miss?" He questioned.

((Do you have his image? :0 *looked in your journal but the link didn't work* D; I'm dieing to see him~ xD
EDIT: Nevermind. 8D;; ))
The young lioness hadn't expected anyone to be there, and the sight of the male startled her. She stepped back and fell once again into the ditch, sending up a plume of dust when she did. "Oh, sorry!" She said, scrambling out of the ditch much less gracefully than the first time. "I didn't know yoiu were there, you startled me." She said with a smile. She shook herself off, sending clouds of dirt and dust all around her. She frowned down at the hole behind her. "Stupid ditch." She said, flipping her tuft of mane back and out of her eyes.
Returning her rather short attention span to the male before her, she gave an amiable smile once again. "Hello there!" She said, unable to take her eyes from his coat. She had seen very few lions of any colors aside from brown and gold and more brown, and the blue of this male intrigued her. "My name is Tui'lian, but you can call me Tui." She said, returning her pale blue eyes to his. "Who're you?" She said with a tilt of her head.

Vian watched as she fell back into the ditch only to get back out again and quickly wear a smile. Well, she certainly had a proactive personality, didn't she? He offered a charming smile in return, his gold eyes softening a little in admiration at her bright spirit. "I apollogize, I didn't mean to give you a scare," she said in a warm tone. "I'm called Vian. It's a pleasure to meet you." He dipped his head slightly in a make-shift bow and nod in one.

Tui was surprised at how polite he was; she was so used to the crudeness of the males in her family. They would all say whatever they wanted and treated her like 'one of the guys'. She shrugged the thought off, not wanting to think of them at the moment. She knew she'd get homesick if she did.
As if on cue to change her thoughts, her stomach let out a loud noise. It sounded like a moan and a scream mixed in one, and she laughed with embarassment. "Ahaha, hehe, I was trying to fix that little problem before I fell in that ditch and scared the gazelle away." She said, giggling softly. "But oh well, I'll have to eat later." She sat her bum down, making a cloud of the excess dirt spew up around her. She ignore dit and looked at the male again. "Vian... that's a nice name." She said with a smile and a nod. "I've never seen a blue lion before. I like your coat." She said, examining it a little closer and peering at him. She obviously spoke her mind and had quite a personal space issue "Everyone in my family has neutral colors."

"I'm sorry. Please, don't delay on account of me," Vian told her honestly. He didn't want her to suffer hunger pangs for a simple conversation. Despite this, he couldn't be so rude as to ignore her other comments. "Why thank you," he chuckled, "Though I'll admit, my family is all natural except for me. I'm the odd one out...all my brothers and my sister are orange, white and black instead." And strange wasn't it, that he was the eldest? The eldest and the one that didn't look like he resembled them. But it mattered little. They had been close anyhow.

Tui shook her head, her small dark tuft of mane swinging around. "Those gazelle are long gone by now anyway." She said with a nod and a smile. "Really? Well that's odd, ain't it?" She said giggling again. "I think genetics are to blame. They're very odd." She said with a nod. "My mother, for instance~ she's allll spots. And my brother turned out like that. But I only have a few spots, I look more like my dad. Marking-wise. He's brown though, and I'm this weird goldish color." She grinned as she rambled on, "Anyway, wanna go fishing with me? I fond it much easier than trying to catch the prancy things. Leap, run, leap, run, hide, wait, run, miss, leap. Boooring. Fishing is much more exciting." She grinned once more, her tail swishing back and forth behind her as she stood. "And, I know one of the best fishing spots around!"

"Fishing?" Vian questioned with amusement and curiousity. He had only been fishing a few times in his life, and that had been in shallow desert oasises. He was sure this would be a very different matter. "Why not?" He smiled charmingly, "Just please promise not to laugh if I fall in or anything." His voice was a tease, but there was still some truth in it. He doubted he'd be better at her, if she did it so frequently.

Tui'lian gave him a wide grin. "Oh, I won't... much." She teased with a giggle. "Follow me!" She said as she began to prance off, her speed rather surprising.
She leapt over the ditch she had fallen in with much more grace than before, and padded off towards the trees that lined the jungle. The young lioness didn't bother to check to see if Vian was following, she assumed he would be since he agreed to fishing with her. And who didn't like to fish?
When the small pool of water finally came into sight, Tui sat down beside it with a grin. "Here we go. Best fishing spot around. As far as I know, that is." She said, smiling as she turned around and dipped the tip of her tail into the water, swishing it around a little. Soon enough, four rather large fish began circling her tail.

Vian chuckled and followed after her as she had commanded. He made the jump over the ditch a little more easily, do to his longer and lankier form. He continued to trail after her without any problems. Though he did find the jungle a little daunting once they entered it. He had been born and raised in the desert where there was nothing for mile and miles. Now there was something ever single inch of the way. He mangaged to tail her to the pond, stopping not far from where she rested. He peered at how she put her tail in with curiousity, "Oh...use your tail as a lure, mm...? What happens when they bite...?"

As if on cue, a rather large fish attatched itself to Tui's tail. She cringed as it bit down, and then stood and pulled her tail from the water quickly, the fish still attached to it. In an attempt to return itself to the water, the fish let go bu was quickly caught by Tui's mouth.
She turned to Vian and grinned, setting the fish down in front of him. "There ya go! Enjoy." She said smiling. She dipped her tail in once again, and the fish once again swarmed around her. She caught another very easily, and smiled as she began to eat it.
When she ahd finished her fish, Tui yawned and stood up. "I think I should go, it's getting late." She said with a nod. "It was a pleasure meeting you!" She smiled brightly at the female and then trotted off, back to her family.
