has anyone else noticed that there is no more team work in online games its usally everyone go's head first in battle theres no flanking no double teaming heck most people stratigies dont go past getting the better gun and even worst then that people are selfish for points now ill be honest i've stole kills before but nowadays no one even heals you i was right nexts to a team mate in gears of war right we had a two on two right well i get shot and im on the floor right next to him well in stead of healing me he ran head first in to the battle a dies... lets say there was a lota balasmethy comeing out of my mouth after that

I've encountered that problem repeatedly on Gears of War (Though you really don't need team-work, unless ranked) A number of people don't use headsets, and when they do, "UR A NOOB" is usually what's said.
I guess the only way that'll work, is if you're with friends?

I only play with my buddies I've known since owning my Xbox (almost 3 years ago). They use good team work, strategies, etc.
Don't even get me started on team-killing. Twice this week now, I've joined a random team-death match game with my buddies, and there's been one idiot each time team-killing, healing, then team-killing...
WTF? Not even a ranked game. You can't earn medals from this.

In most of the xbox 360 games that I've played, teamwork isn't really needed most of the time. I'm currently playing Lost Planet, and the only time you may need to work together is when taking down one of the regular or drill mechs.

Just to point this out, although many 'nubs' (probably 10-12 years of age) don't work together, team work is still a key aspect in any game if you want absolute victory. (which can still be achieved by diving headlong into a suicide)

You know? instead of whining and flaming we should start doing something about it! I dunno maybe if there was some kind of strategy book for each scenario ppl would at least start to imitate what a synchronized team looks like.

I really doubt that'd do anything.

Yeah...I used to have a great team on Halo 2. We were a leader, support, snipers, and attackers. Attackers basically went for flags, bombs (etc) while support backed them (or snipers) up with vehicles or battle rifles.
That's all gone now =(

It's pretty bad in Halo 2, but the game isn't really designed for teamwork. Sometimes you get a really bad team with team killers, quitters, loud brats, or people who really just stink. But the team that works the hardest tends to win.

The team that works the hardest also takes loss the hardest. So, when my friends and I play, we just play for fun. A plus is that we still win.

I was thinking about saying something intelligible and smart, but I kind of lost it in my semi-consciousness while typing this up. Technically, if a number of players work as a team, they should be technically, I repeat technically, unbeatable.

I'd think that only would count for if the players are decent. You can walk in with people that suck at the game, try to plan ahead, but still lose horribly.

I have never seen a team on Gears where they use teamwork, usually its just run and gun I hate that.
