Okay, well. I write stories that take place in Scotland all the time and I am really running out of character names. So, to give me (and other cool people) ideas for characters can any of you post Scottish names?
I mean, I know there are websites for this, but their names range from Ian to MacGillinein (sp?) and I'm not sure which ones are actually used in Scotland today.

To be honest lad, when I pronounce your name in a proper Scottish accent it sounds like a Scottish word for when the weather is real rainy and kind of misty. xp But ah well, so many Scottish words for so many different things!
As for Scottish names, it's difficult to say, but I can name a few I know from visiting many times and meeting my fiance's friends:
Donald Ross Eleif (not sure if im spelling that right) Duncan Hamish
Hope those wee ones help, i'll post more as I remember them!

Danke for the names! Hamish. Ha! Like that guy in Braveheart, Hamish? He was one cool kid. And wouldn't the misty rainy one be 'driech' not 'drike'. Oh wait. I get it... hehe. Wow, sometimes all that Algebra II gets to your brain. Seriously. neutral

lol it's alright, I have a weird name. i like it though "Drike MacDougall"
evyn, you do pronounce it simaliar to "driech" actually. but living in the states now people call it drike. i gave up trying to correct them. thet cant understand me anyway. i get cracks all the time people thinking i am brittish. and then i say no i'm scottish. "oh i have scottish blood, and i am friends with the scotch"... i think to myself, obviously not if you think my accent is brittish ya fanny. that fires me up... sorry this is probably the most i've written in this guild so far. my grammar is horrible which is why i don't write a lot
