Another repost - I know someone here (artistic?) made this, and I might as well put the recipe where people can find it.

3 cups self-rising flour
3 tbsp sugar
12 oz beer (1 can or bottle)

Preheat oven to 350F. Grease a standard loaf pan.

Mix all the ingredients together. Pour into loaf pan. Bake for 1 hour or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let cool a little, remove from pan, and let cool a little more before slicing (makes for better slices).

That's it.

If you want to get fancy, add 1 cup of shredded cheese and 3 tbsp of your favorite dried herbs to the mixture.

Different beers make different flavored breads. A good stout makes a bread almost like a whole wheat.

If you don't have self-rising flour, Bisquick also works.

You guys SERIOUSLY have to try this. it is FANTASTIC!! I used the Bisquick, and ended up throwing some cheese and italian herbs in. I got some biiig raves over it!! I happened to use a bottle of bud light this time.
