He lounge on one of the couches in Rufus' office and half listened as his boss rattled something off about another job they were going on. It wasn't all that interesting sounding and he would have much rater been eating lunch.
The other Turks, aside from Tseng who always looked like he was listening or at least plotting something, seemed just as bored as he was. It wasn't like they were doing the job this week so he though that the information could have waited until later.
"...Riley if you're going to not pay attention you could at least be doing something interesting rather than staring at a wall." He paused in his explanation to look at the Turk who was rather obviously slouched on the furniture.
"Cut'em some slack boss. He hasn't had the time to perfect art like i'ave." He laughed as he leaned more heavily on Rufus desk. He knew how to slouch perfectly and still be paying attention while looking like he was trying to be disrespectful.

Kaleb was sitting next to Riley, having escaped Rufus' attention by staring blankly at his hands in his lap and fidgeting slightly. He was kind of paying attention, but most of the technical details weren't anything he had to worry about anyway. If he hadn't been so tired he would have at least tried to look more like he was paying attention.

Demyx was not a good second in command. The sitarist usually grew bored very quickly, and had to wander away from his duties to find something to do. Today was no exception, though today he was hellbent on finding his friend Kaleb and informing the other of his recent promotion.
Now, thankfully for tracking purposes the Organization could port to the sides of those they wanted to see. Unfortunately, they couldn't view the area before showing up there. Oblivious to what kind of situation he could be walking right into, Demyx opened a portal right in the middle of Rufus' office and stepped out.
"HI KALEB!"
Grinning at the sight of his good friend, the little blonde went bounding over to tackle the other right off the couch he was sitting on.
"GUESS WHAT!" Not like he left the other a chance to reply... "I got promoted! Now I'm second in command and Saix respects me more an---"
Finally noticing that others were there, Demyx went very still and silent, eyes wide as he watched for reactions.

He'd been about to tell Rufus that he was paying attention and knew what had been talked about when a portal, and not one of Kaleb's, appeared in the middle of the room. "What the ********!?!" He slid sideways as something, or someone, in a black coat tackled his partner.
"Hey! It's that kid again ... what was his name?"
"Demyx." He remembered the one's coat and remembered talk of an 'Organization' and things. It was rather surprising to find one of them in their office.

Kaleb yelped as he was tackled, but he was used to that from Demyx so it wasn't long before he was grinning up at his friend. "Th-that's good to hear, b-but I'm in the middle of a meeting... Can you tell me about it in a couple minutes?" He asked, and then turned to look up at Rufus. "H-how much longer was this meeting going to be?"

"K-kay..."
Still glancing at the others nervously, Demyx scrambled off his friend and hid behind the other.
"S-s-sorry..."
He could just leave, but he really wanted to visit with Kaleb. And, hey, at least they hadn't attacked him yet, right?

"......" He just stared at Demyx as the person hid behind Kaleb. Who the hell was he and how the hell had he gotten into the office.
"You've got a few more minuets and would you please tell your friends not to just throw themselves into my buildings." There wasn't a way they could block that kind of magic. The scientists had looked at it and whatever they used for their power base was far to elemental for even their technology.

Kaleb blushed a bit and nodded as he pulled himself off the ground, then he turned to Demyx. "I-I can meet you outside the front doors in a bit?" he asked, fidgeting slightly. It had been so long since he had last seen Demyx and it hurt to ask him to leave even for a few minutes.

"You can tell me that yourself ya know, I'm right here..."
The sitarist looked rather offended, and for a brief moment he actually glared in the direction of Rufus. It was rather short lived thought, Demyx quickly taking on a more sad and hurt look when Kaleb spoke.
"I c-could...but I haven't really...been...here.."
He didn't exactly like the idea of wandering off in a strange building all alone.

"And you could not appear in people's offices unannounced." He glared right back at Demyx. So whtever 'promotion' that he'd been speaking of hadn't been because he'd gotten meaner.
"Riley. I will heave the information on your desk. Take Kaleb and his friend outside."
"Why do i gotta ..."
"Cause the boss knows that i'd try to get in their pants." He grinned at Riley before the other red-head could finish his sentence.
"...yer a d**k Reno." He huffed and got up off the couch. "Come on ..."

Kaleb blushed brightly and took Demyx's hand to lead him after Riley. He was glad he wouldn't have to make his friend leave, Demyx had just sounded so lost and sad, it would have broke his heart to tell him to go wait.

"If I had known an a*****e like you was here I would have waited to come."
Demyx snarled right back at the other. Rufus being an a** really had worked him up. Thankfully Kaleb was already leading him away, or he probably would have said something else he'd regret later on.

He just laughed as Demyx called him an a*****e. It wasn't like that was a new thing to hear from anyone. "You should learn to look before you leap then." Even Reno wouldn't do something like that, he would certinally do something as stupid, but not jump into something he couldn't see first.
He shook his head and turned toward the elevator. If Demyx wanted to get into a fight with Rufus he could but he wouldn't step in between it.

Kaleb was horrified as Demyx mouthed off to his boss, and he scurried to catch up to Riley. He kept a firm hold on his friend's wrist so he wouldn't get a chance to reply to Rufus. The little mage was honestly afraid of what Rufus might have to say to him after this incident.
Okay, that was just pushing it. It wasn't like he wasn't used to being called stupid or anything, but he didn't like hearing it from anyone who wasn't in the Organization with him.
Now, Kaleb was pulling him away as quickly as possible, but thankfully he didn't need time to say anything to -do- anything to the other Audio. With a particularly evil snicker, a surprise in itself to hear coming from the usually innocent blonde, Demyx dropped a rather large water bubble right on top of the white clad Rufus. Content with that, the sitarist let himself be led off.
"So, how are you today Kaleb?"
It was a pretty quick change of subject, even by Demyx's standards.

He winced as he heard his boss start screaming obscenities worse than he'd even hear Reno use. Whatever had happened he wasn't going to stop to find out about. Stopping to wait for Kaleb and Demyx to catch up he shoved the two into the elevator and pushed the buttons for it to close behind him.
Rufus could easily stop the elevator and force the doors open but he hoped whatever it was that made him yell would keep him occupied.
