Ice Thistle Yetis in Winterspring
Level: 55 Zone: Winterspring Category: Farming
Ice Thistle Yetis are an another relatively weak mob that's worth farming for because of epic drops. Of course the drop rate is very small but patience is rewarded here as always.
Tar Beasts for Epics
Level: 50 Zone: Un'Goro Crater Category: Farming
Tar Beasts/Creepers/Lords in Northern Un'Goro crater are relatively easy to farm mobs who drop epics. As always, the drop rate is very low but patient farmers will be rewarded by occassional epic drops.
Grinding for Epics in Ruins of Andorhal
Level: 55 Zone: Western Plaguelands Category: Farming
Just about every mob in Ruins of Andorhal has a change of dropping Epic items. The change is very very small though so this isn't for inpatient people. Unless you're lucky, you'll be here for days before an Epic drop.
Ironjaw Basilisks in Stranglethorn Vale
Level: 40 Zone: Stranglethorn Vale Profession: Skinning Category: Farming
Crystalvein mine is located in east from Gurubashi arena in Strangletorn Vale. You can make tons of gold by farming and skinning Ironjaw Basilisks in this cave. A rare unit called Scale Belly also spawns in the cave and can be looted for nice green items.
Frostmaul Giants
Level: 60 Zone: Winterspring Category: Farming
Frostmaul Giants in Winterspring are worth farming just for the Greater Frost Protection Potion recipe they drop. These guys are pretty tought but the drop rate is good and on some servers the recipe has potential to sell for hundreds of gold.
Cobalt Dragons in Winterspring
Level: 60 Zone: Winterspring Category: Farming
Cobalt Dragons in Winterspring have a tiny drop rate for Mature Blue Dragon Sinew which is worth hundreds of gold. This farming spot is a bit of a gamble because it may take days for this item to drop but once you get it, you'll be rewarded well.

Level: 50 Zone: Western Plaguelands Category: Farming
Recipe for Greater Nature Protection Potion is a great recipe to farm because it's relatively easy to get but sells for high amounts of gold. You can get it by farming Decaying Horrors and Rotting Behemoths in Western Plaguelands.

Burning Steppes Mining Route
Level: 55 Zone: Burning Steppes Profession: Mining Category: Professions
Burning Steppes is a great zone for Rich Thorium mining. Especially at level 60 you shouldn't have too much of a trouble taking laps on the route shown in the map below and mining all the veins on your way. Even when there is too much competition for the Rich Thorium you can take a longer route to the east and mine sone Mithril and Truesilver there.

There are some more or less valuable items that you will find all over Un'Goro while adventuring there. In addition to these items having possible demand in your Auction House there are also other ways to take advantage of these items.
Pattern for Devilsaur Gauntlets
Zone: Un'Goro Crater Category: Limited Supply Items
Nergal, the general goods vendor in Marshal's Refuge sells the pattern for Devilsaur Gauntlets for 2 gold. It is a relatively high demand item that spawns only once per day so you'll be able to sell it for a few pieces of gold in profit if you are lucky enough to get it.
Earth Elemental Invasion
Level: 60 Zone: Azshara Category: Rare Units/Bosses
Every couple of days an Earth Elemental Invasion takes place in Northeastern Azshara. This brings Avalanchion and his earth elemental invaders to Azshara. The elementals are a good mob to farm for Essence of Earth and Avalanchion (who can be soloed) drops some good loot.
Air Elemental Invasion
Level: 60 Zone: Silithus Category: Rare Units/Bosses
Sometimes The Windreaver and his wind elementals invade the Northwestern corner of Silithus. This is the perfect moment to farm for Essence of Air which the wind elementals have a good drop rate for. The Windreaver can also be soloed (if you really know what you are doing) for some valuable loot.
Fire Elemental Invasion
Level: 60 Zone: Un'Goro Crater Category: Rare Units/Bosses
Sometimes an elemental invasion takes place in Un'Goro Crater. When that happens Baron Charr and an army of elementals surround the volcano in center of Un'Goro. Everyone in Un'Goro at that time will hear a yell from Baron Charr. You can farm the elementals for essences and Baron Charr has good loot too but you might want to group up for him.
Savory Deviate Delights
Level: 20 Zone: The Barrens Profession: Fishing Category: Professions
You can earn some nice gold by cooking and selling Savory Deviate Delights. This isn't a particularry useful kind of a food but it makes you turn into a pirate, a ninja or a slime blob so there is a certain fun factor added to it and that's why it sells.
Profit by gathering Stranglekelp
Level: 20 Zone: Ashenvale Category: Gathering
Stranglekelp is required for many different potions and sells for a good price on any server. It isn't as hard to find as many people believe. There is tons of Stranglekelp all over the Zoram Strand in Ashenvale.
Outfitter Eric's Tuxedo Patterns
Zone: Ironforge Category: Limited Supply Items
Outfitter Eric sells no less than 5 different limited supply patterns in IronForge for 40-50 silver a piece. You can grab them all and take them to the Auction House. You'll be amazed how many people pay a 400% over price for them simply because they're too lazy/ignorant to find the vendor for these patterns.
Boulderfists and Whitherbarks
Level: 30 Zone: Arathi Highlands Category: Farming
Boulderfist Ogres (Boulderfist Outpost at 34,44) and Whitherbark Trolls (Southeastern corner) are the most profitable mobs to grind in Arathi Highlands. Especially the Builderfist Ogres respawn very quickly so you'll have no downtime. If you are lucky you might spot Nimar the Slayer (L37 Rare) in the Whitherbark village. He usually drops a "Nimar's Tribal Headdress" but with some luck you'll get the "Dark Hooded Cape".
Bro'kin Frost Potion Recipe
Level: 25 Zone: Alterac Mountains Category: Limited Supply Items
A vendor named Bro'kin sells the Frost Potion Recipe in a not-so-easy to find location in Alterac Mountains. You may have to climb on the wall at (38,3 cool to find him. The recipe respawns once every hour, costs 25 silver and sells for a couple of gold in the Auction House.
Galak Centaurs in Thousand Needles
Level: 25 Category: Farming
The large Galak Centaur camp near Free Wind Post is one of the best places to grind in Thousand Needles. These guys have good loot and respawn relatively quickly. You just need to look out for the Windchasers who heal themselves and others at 50% health.
Ironeye the Invincible
Level: 40 Zone: Thousand Needles Category: Rare Units/Bosses
Ironeye the Invincible (L35 Elite) has the most valuable loot in Thousand Needles. It has about 40% drop rate for the blue sword "Blade of the Basilisk". This guy seems to respawn only once for every 24 hours though but is a good one to farm when you happen to be around.
Recipes from Alchemist Pestlezugg
Zone: Tanaris Category: Limited Supply Items
Alchemist Pestlezugg in Gadgetzan sells the recipes Transmute Mithril to Truesilver and Transmute Iron to Gold. You'll be able to buy them for 80 silver each and sell them for a couple of gold each in Auction House depending on your server.
Gnomish Cloaking Device Schematic
Level: 30 Zone: Hillsbrad Foothills Category: Limited Supply Items
Zan Shivsproket sells the Gnomish Cloaking Device in the mountains north of Tarren Mill in Hillsbrad Foothills. He is located in the basement of a hidden rogue stronghold in the mountains but the path up there is relatively easy to find. You can buy the Gnomish Cloaking Device schematic for 24 silver and sell it for a few pieces of gold.
Minor Recombobulator schematic
Zone: Wetlands Category: Limited Supply Items
Fradd Swiftgear in Sundown Marsh, Wetlands sells the Minor Recombobulator schematic. You can buy it for 15 silver and sell it in the Auction House for a couple gold.
Pattern from Wenna Silkbeard in Wetlands
Zone: Wetlands Category: Limited Supply Items
Wenna Silkbeard in Sundown Marsh, Wetlands sells the Green Leather Armor and Red Whelp Gloves patterns. You can buy them for 20 silver and sell them for 1 gold or so in the Auction House.
Arena Chest during maintenance
Zone: Ashenvale Category: Shady Tricks
The Gurubashi Arena chest spawns every 3 hours. One of these spawn times is during the weekly maintenance. You can log off near the chest the day before mainentance and then log in immediately after the maintenance is over. You'll be able to retrieve the chest quickly without competition.
Princess Tempestria's Water Elemental Invasion
Level: 60 Zone: Winterspring Category: Rare Units/Bosses
Pricess Tempestria and her water elemental bodyguards spawn weekly near the lake of Kel'Theril in Winterspring. She's a level 60 elite so you most probably need to group up for her but the loot is great. Her average loot is worth 50+ gold what makes her one of the top 40 most valuable mobs in the game.
Teremus The Devourer
Level: 60 Zone: Blasted Lands Category: Rare Units/Bosses
Teremus The Devourer is a relatively weak boss dragon that spawns once a day to fly around Blasted Lands. You need to group with a few level 60 guys to kill him. Teremus drops the Flawless Draenethyst Sphere wich you can turn in to Kum'isha the Collector and get rewarded with a random blue or epic item. There has been reports of people soloing this guy by dragging him to Stormwind and letting the guards kill him.
Devilsaurs in Un'Goro Crater
Level: 60 Zone: Un'Goro Crater Profession: Skinning Category: Farming
Un'Goro crater is a great zone for skinners. Most of the beasts can be farmed for leather and it's even better if you can kill Devilsaurs (level 52-55 elites) as the skin of these guy sells for very high amounts of gold.
Fungal Rock in Un'Goro crater
Level: 50 Zone: Un'Goro Crater Category: Farming
Fungal Rock is a gorilla gave in Northern Un'Goro Crater. The gorillas there are relatively weak level 50+ mobs and they respawn pretty fast inside the cave so which makes the Fungal Rock an ideal place for farming. The gorillas mainly drop vendor thrash items like hair, fangs, and Un'Goro soil but you can earn surprisingly big amounts of money by selling these in large quantities.
