I love to watch america's next top model
and over the weekend on mtv they had reruns on
and i do not know what season it was from
but they went to japan
and they had to recreate harajuku and lolita fashion
^.-
it was an awesome episode and they had so many amazing designers and ideas on the show!

Oh yeah, I saw that. Its from season 3 it came out a few years ago.
Generally I wasnt impressed by the episode. They didnt have an interest in the fashion so it was like meh. I think I almost started to cry when they came out in their 'street fashion' outfit it was so bad.
The only thing good about it is that they showed how to get to Meta in Tokyo <3 and Closet Child too.

ah yes. i remember that episode. though i saw it when it was new....so i can't exactly remember what the outfits they put together looked like. do you happen to have pics? i'd like to see them again ^v^

oooo I read about that episode. I saw one picture and it was horrable! I was like o-o!!! nuuuuuuuuuhhhh lolita is getting a bad representation!!!

and my bf was over and it inspired me to wear my loli stuff!

(i haven't really since media player closed and anime club was canceled, all my loli friends are gone in college. crying )

Also, on G4TV, on Attack of the show, they go to japan and look at the technology, and the popculture, and they went to Bodyline xD it was funny.
They also called Lolita Cosplay -.-....it made me sad.

that episode of antm makes me mad. they are so high and mighty. they act like j-fashion isnt fashion at all. they didnt even know how to dress lolita for their interview!

Ehhh that show..My friend's sister watches it, so when I was over her house she had it on a few times. I don't really care for it. And I'm not surprised they wouldn't approve Lolita.

When it came to the models representing the look, they didnt get it.
However, the people who showed them how to do the cute lolita style did.
Gawd I forgot what clothing brand it was that showed them how to do it.
I think the models were a tad bit arrogant though, they kinda laughed or goofed off when putting effort because they though it was weird.
Dont blame the show, blame the models, they didnt do their best. Seriously, it was an opportunity to show japanese street fashion and they killed it -_-
At least the show tried to show something of such a culture, not that horrible gwen stefani crap.
