Who: Setsumi, Adumialmir, and Ronan. Maybe more of Trel's?
What: Just a friendly/first-time encounter.
Where: Outside Realm HQ, on a hill with a nice view of the woods.
Why: Setsumi's lonesome, Adu is distant, and Ronan needs to learn the difference between a kit and a bobtail. XD
"Well then, you tell me the point of clouds." By now, Setsumi was grinning, trying to understand Ronan point-of-view on the topic. So far, she believed them to be things to get rid of concerns and time. And they worked quite well. What had started the debate? She couldn't even recall. She was just glad to have come across her friend after so long.
The colorful male grinned, resting on his stomach and waving at the sky. "Obviously, they are just sheep debri, floating and clumping in the sky. As to their purpose, they just...." He raised a brow and stumbled over his thoughts, "manage the weather." Ronan chuckled lightly, knowing how crazy it must sound. He didn't care, so long as they were enjoying themselves. White eyes blinked as he quieted and took in the sight. The sky was a vibrant orange with the sun melting into the mountains. What a perfect sight, hopefully enough to lighten the mood.

Besides... Adumialmîr was not certain how much she wanted company of the opposite gender no matter how comfortable. She heard enough of her house-sister's boy trouble not to be overly eager for a chance at something like that.
Up a hill across her path the bobtail female spotted two kitsu. There was something familiar about them. She knew she had never met them, as the only kitsu Adumialmîr had met was the blue Tsunami. Perhaps she had seen a picture or heard their descriptions at home? That was quite likely. Detachedly she wondered if her family spoke of her to others. Or even knew she was there. Sometimes she wondered, being easily overlooked.
But these kitsu... well she was too close now to circle around without seeming rude. "Good evening. Lovely sunset, isn't it?"

The female merely shook her head with a grin. "Sheep debri? Honestly..." With a sigh she rested her head on her colorful friends back, watching the sun as well. A beautiful time of day, but not her personal favorite. No, the bright hues of the sky better complimented Ronan. Setsumi's favorite time was the early morning, where dark and light struggled to dominate the sky. The surreal hues of that hour best matched her mood, if not her pelt. Cloud tipped ears perked at another voice, and she rose her head to find a bobtail nearby.
Ronan rose a brow when his friend of old relaxed, smiling to himself. At least things were calm for her. Blue tails swished in thought, curious at to how things have played out in their lives. He was still doing what he loved, and had no intention to stop anytime soon. Setsumi had gone down a different path. One he couldn't tell if she was regretting or not. Eyes blinked at the same time to the newcomer. Wasn't that a kit? Wait....he had seen that breed before. A bobtail, was it? A smile was given to the smaller kitsu. "Greetings. We were just admiring the sunset also. Care to join us?"

Tentatively the female bobtail picked her way up the hill. "If I'm not a bother. Usually I watch the sunset on my own." A yellow patterened ear flicked uncomfortably, followed by a small laugh. Her bobbed tails flicked once and lay still. "Thank you. I am called Adumialmîr, though the young ones I live with tend to shorten it to Mîr."

Setsumi gave the other a kind smile, a habit she greeted to all kitsus. "You're no bother. It's just a nice time to relax." She sat up and stretched her front arms. Can't get too comfy, lest she get cramped up. Once she finished her task she waved a paw to welcome the bobtail within chatting distance. No pressure intended, just a friendly invite.
Ronan watched quietly, not minding others to join the group. Blue tail tips curled up and down, a habit made when he was laid back. He did blink though at the long name. Though long, it had a nice flow to it that was hard to stumble on. His blue 'tear tracks' crinkled in a smile. "Well, nice to meet ya Adumialmir."

With a small smile Adumialmîr joined them, stopping at a comfortable distance where all would be able to stretch should they wish without fearing they might bump each other. In particular, that the others would not bump her for Adumialmîr could see that the two were comfortable with touching each other. She settled down on her belly, legs pulled close beneath her, bobbed tails tight to her rump, tiny neck raised as her magenta eyes peered from her purple face to follow the movement of the sun. That was relaxed for her: being able to sit still without one of the permakits or other small playful creatures wanting her to cavort with them just because she was small. Not that Adumialmîr minded her size. It was who she was.
They were a handsome pair, with their feathers & feather-like appearances. companions, more than mates? The way the male's face crinkled with his smile was a nice touch. Someone will like that someday. Really like that. The bobtail silently chastised herself with a small chuckle. Been around the family too much... their romantic nature is wearing off on you, Adumialmîr. "A perfect time to relax." She agreed with a light nod, sparing another glance at the pair before watching the sky again. "It is my favorite time of day. Or nearing it."

The male himself lulled onto his side once the group was settled. The ear that wasn't pressed to the ground remained perked, so as to stay politely alert to the others. White eyes blinked and went from Setsumi to Mir, back and forth. He resisted the urge to reach out and paw at the short tails like a curious kitten. Honestly, he'd rather have those than his long, poofy tails. That were often mistaken for feathers. "Blah." He winced when he said that aloud, and gave a sheepish grin. Darn his moments of care-free thought.
The femme was glad that the other took the invite, finding more company enjoyable. So long as it wasn't hyperactive company; not at this calm moment. A soft chuckle caught her ears, and her green eyes shined curiously. Did she miss something? No matter. Setsumi shook her head with a smile before turning again to the sky. "It is a fascinating sight. I assume your favorite time is twilight? Or the night itself?" She raised a brow at Ronan's random sound and goofy grin. Though, that was a common enough thing from her friend.

Her eyes darted curiously at the sound the male made, wondering at both it and the cause a moment before shrugging it off. Of course had the bobtail known she might not have let it slide so easily. But his sheepish grin helped.
"Twilight." She responded to the question softly. "The time between. When it is neither day nor night and the colors that are accepted throughout day or night are shifted to those only seen between." She flicked her tails, not knowing the temptation they had been to the male with his odd white eyes.

Curious white eyes glanced at the bobtail. "Twilight?" She made it almost sound poetic. "I've always found that to be an intriguing time of day." Like the sky was actually melting, and the colors were cooling. He seemed to go still for a moment, just enjoying the sky....full of sheep debri. It was nice to pause and relax in life. Thankfully he took no notice of the twitching tails as he glanced back to the quiet Setsumi.
The female merely nodded at Mir's choice. It was an interesting choice, but a choice shortly enjoyed as night followed swiftly after. She smiled while turning to the other femme. "So tell me Adumialmir, where do you reside?" She was curious, not having seen many bobtails in general at the realm. She flushed lightly as she realized that question may have come across as rude. "I apologize, I was just wondering. I myself often lounge around HQ." She pointed a limp paw to her companion. "He is found wandering wherever, whenever." She said it sarcastically, finding it a habit of his that she used to follow as well. Long ago.

Yes... twilight was fleeting. But perhaps that along with her pelt's obvious tie to that time was what made it so special to her. Twilight was easy to miss, but she never missed a one. She smiled softly at the male calling it intriguing, half wondering what his reasons for such a conclusion were. Not enough to ask about it however.
The question posed by his companion drew her gaze briefly from her favorite sight before her eyes looked outward once more. "It is no secret, as its grounds are safe from danger. I live with many though being small I am easily overlooked, able to come and go as I please. It is a magical dwelling, in the woods east of Bass'ken Lake."
Having come to the family not so very long ago and not being the type to converse overly much even with the friendly & caring individuals Adumialmîr could not know that both kitsu had been to her home in the presence of those whose descriptions of them were what hinted at their familiarity before.

Setsumi blinked in surprise. "Oh, you live at Trel's little cottage? Well....not little." The female wasn't too stunned, having not met all of the house residents anyways. Who knew how many dwelled in that cozy place. She tilted her head kindly. "If you see Chroma, tell her I said hello." She hadn't seen the other in such a long time. She hoped she was in good health. A brow rose before she peked at Ronan. "My son has told me you are even babysitting a sibling of Lily?" How had that happened? Ronan with a kit, Setsumi had never seen that situation before.
The bright male had also turned his head in surprise. Before flinching as Setsumi mentioned the kit. That....was something he didn't expect to be told around. He gave a chuckle while twisting his translucent tails. "Yep, that's true. She's a good kid, if not utterly shy." No, she was a kit he didn't mind watching over. An ear flickered slightly. "She is full grown now, Nahanni." Let's hope she could get by in life with her painfully timid nature.

Adumialmîr smiled. "But it is small... on the outside." There was an amused sound to her voice.
"I'll tell her."
Lily. Now there was an interesting subject of late. The bobtail followed the other female's gaze to the male and listened to his response carefully. "Oh. do that is one of the places she goes when not visiting. It's nice to know she has friends." A gentle smile. "May I tell her father? It is certain to bring him some relief."

A simple nod. "That is true." What a decieving appearance, that little home had. Setsumi smiled when the other agreed to say her words to Chroma. Ronan's little story brought a smirk to her maw. "Darn, I missed that fun chapter in your life." Nahanni, that name didn't ring a bell. But the world seemed small as of late, perhaps she'd meet her eventually.
Ronan placed his head in a paw, tapping the ground with his other. "Ha ha, very funny." A fun chapter indeed. One he didn't even remember how it started, and went super fast. White eyes peered to Mir. Friends? More of a guardian relationship if anything. Besides, the kit hardly spoke up her own mind the time he watched her. "I suppose you can tell her father. It was at least some social experience on her part."

"The way I've seen it, Nahanni speaks little enough with her family, much less others so any experience is looked upon as a momentous occasion." She smiled softly, glancing at the male for a moment again having felt his gaze upon her. "And I am sure Remus will like to know she met such a pleasant & kind kitsu."
Then again she looked away, unaccustomed to such chatting. The bobtail was by no means shy, but of a solitary nature. But then... it appeared her current companions were no strangers to solitary or at least limited contact with other kitsusagi. Or was she reading too much into them? It did not matter. It was pleasant to have company on her excursions every once in a while.
Adumialmîr wondered briefly if she should seek the coasts and the blue bobtail she had meet there. He had been pleasant company too.

Yeah, that did sound like the kit he had watched. True that she was terribly shy, but she was a pleasant girl one wouldn't fear getting into trouble. The compliment left him somewhat quiet and pondering. "Heh, thanks." He supposed he had turned kinder over the years, and perhaps for the better. Still, he didn't want to be so soft as to consider himself a babysitter. x_x He hadn't even done that chore for Setsumi's kits....Oh.
Ronan turned a questioning glance to his feathered friend.
Setsumi had her eyes set on the fading light in the sky. Another day passed. She didn't know what to feel about the lost day; only waiting for the other to come. Green hued eyes moved to Adumialmir, also enjoying the view of nature. The bobtail seemed so similiar to herself, if not in her earlier years. Sensing a gaze, she turned to catch Ronan's look. They knew each other's glances after so long of traveling together. A smile was pulled on her maw. "Soon." She too was ready to leave, both mountain and realm. The femme just had one more chore to care for.
