Who: AearHwesta, Morgana, Morticia What: casual meeting Where: At the edge of the woods near Realm headquarters near a fair sized rolling hill When: right about now. Midday. (for my purposes, after Seer's full grown but before it's dawned 100% on Aear) Why: Just because
The weather seemed to fit his mood: cloudy with a chance of sun. Sunlight and the clear blue sky hiding behind clouds of gray that spanned the great expanse of sky but for little pockets of light scattered here and there. Faint precipitation hung in the air like a fine mist -not enough to fall as rain nor even obscure one's vision but enough to touch lightly on the blue and white fur & wings of the angelic male who flew the skies, lost in thought. It made the warm day feel cooler, especially considering that it should be quite warm at this time of day this time of year with the sun at its zeneth above.
Not that AearHwesta could see the sun through the thick blanket of clouds.
Surprisingly, the sailor did not sing as he winged his way through the air, his ice blue wings held aloft easily on the currents of air at work today. Nor was he -as he was prone to do- searching for female companionship of any sort. No. The nautical angelic was lost in thought, his female-focused mind on his 'daughter' of sorts -wondering how he could possibly keep her from someone like him when she was full grown. Which was sure to be soon, if not already.
His flight skirted the edge of the forest as if in some part of his mind using it as a navigation tool to keep him aware of his position & location. Certainly he was not paying enough attention to where he flew otherwise, than to be certain he did not run aground of someone or something.

Flying towards him was the bloody Angelic known as Morgana, but she was flying slow and low to the ground, something that she didn't do quite often since she found it dangerous. But she had a good reason this time around. She turned around and hovered in the air, smiling lovingly down at the little creature trying to fly towards her, "Come on baby girl, you almost got! Just a little further!" she called out, her large, dark wings flapping.
Coming towards her at a slow pace, was a baby Angelic, not even half Morgy's size. She was black in color, except for her wings, which were a soft blue color and the tips of her tails, which were red as her mothers blood and a dark red swirling pattern on her right front paw. A golden halo bobbed about her head as she flapped her wings, trying her best to fly to her mother and having some success. She just wasn't old enough to learn good wing coordination.

Even lost in thought the ladies' kitsu could not mistake his nose -keen when it came to such scents as the winds brought him now. Females.
A smile touched his maw and Aear searched the skies, more from a lifetime habit than any fresh desire of the moment, breathing in deeply to fill his nose with the scent. Yes, Female. One he knew, one he did not. And blood. He knew.
Spotting the bloody angelic female and the small one with her the sailor shifted his wings to catch a down draft to glide closer to them. "Top o' the day to ye, lasses. Beautiful Morgana... It's been too long lass." Russet eyes smiled, unable to hold back a compliment for a lady. Of course with young he would never press anything with the female ever again. Speaking of the young one his gaze fell gently on the little one. "Such a pretty lass, ye have there. Yers, no doubt. Who be her lucky father?"

Morty, who wasn't expecting to hear a new voice, let out a trill of surprise and with a burst of speed, barreled herself into her mothers belly fur and clung to her tightly, burying her face into the bloody fur, her shyness at an all time high.
Morgana looked up when Aear glided down and spoke to them and she gave a warm smile, taking his compliment to her in stride and she was about to greet him and introduce her daughter when she let out an 'oof'. She looked down and immediately gathered up her curled up baby into her arms, rocking her gently, "It's ok baby girl, no need to be shy, he is one of mommy's friends." she said in a soft, reassuring voice.

Russet eyes softened, getting a paternal look about them. "Ah. lass." His rumble-y voice was soft, low and gentle. "I didn't mean te startle ye. Be ye learnin' te fly, lass? I'm a might paw at assisting with that, if ye've a mind te it."
It was a side of the sailor Morgana would not have experienced for herself, though her mate might have told her of it. For AearHwesta had a soft spot for kits that he could not deny. A soft spot that could well be the ladies' kitsu's undoing in the end.

"Hmmm, some help would be appreciated. My mate is with our other kit, our son, so I am trying to teach this little one to fly. Her name is Morticia by the way." she said, gently rubbing her babies back.
Morty peeked a gold eye over to the male that startled her, still clinging to her mother tightly.

A soft sigh came silently from the sailor -only discernable in the subtle change in his posture as the air shifted within his chest. "Aye, he's a lucky one, yer mate."
Was that a trace of... longing? If it was, it was not the ladies' kitsu's customary type. His russet gaze was still on the kit. "I'll not harm ye, lass. Swear by my ship, if ye wish it o' me." The way he said even the word 'ship' held a loving tenderness inarguable. "Will ye be letting me help ye to get a feel for your wings?"

Morgy gently turned Morty around, holding her out to Aear, "It's ok baby girl, he just wants to help you use your wings is all." she cooed.
Morty's eyes went wide as she finally looked at the winged male and she looked back and forth between him and her mom. Shaking in pure nervousness, she finally put her paws over her eyes, trying to make herself 'invisible'.

He laughed. AearHwesta knew the kit's game, though it had been a while since any of the kits in his home were young enough to play it so innocently. Even the permakits though they would play the game still had other games on their mind than to truly trying to hide. Except when they were in trouble -which was frequent- and then they normally remembered after a quick moment that such tricks did not work.
"Ah, Morgana-lass! Seems there's no kit te be teaching." The male joked, happy to play along. "Let's search for her, aye, and ye can tell me of yer mate. What can ye tell me o' the clearly dashing lad who beguiled yer heart from me." Mirth, gentle and teasing, flickered in his russet eyes as he carefully schooled his wings to simple exercises that -should Morticia uncover her eyes- would offer very clear examples of different ways to practice moving her wings for better flight learning.
Sly old codger.

Morgana giggled at that, pretending to play along with Aear's game, "Yes, best to let her come out on her own. Well, my mate, his name is Amun, I am sure you remember him. You met him and his mother one time when he was just a baby. We met when my human and Amun's human were talking. We were friends for a while and eventually...fell in love." she said, smiling in thought of Amun.
Morty kept her paws over her eyes, but slowly between them, her gold eyes spying Aear still there, but he was moving his wings in a way her mother did alot. She slowly put her paws down and she held them out to Aear.

"Amun-lad?" Aear's 'lesson' faltered briefly, the motion he had been showing continuing longer than the others though it was hardly noticeable. He covered up his shock with a hearty laugh, casually accepting the paws Morty held out to him as if there was nothing special about her coming around though his heart swelled to have the chance to teach another kit. "Oh aye, I remember the lad. Been far too long since I've seen him and his lovely mother, sadly. Moonsprite, the lass' name is." Bending his muzzle he whispered gently in the kits ear. "Tha'd be yer grandmother, lovely lass. But then yer a sharp thing, and probably knew that, didn't ye?"
Deftly Aear rolled to his back as he flew so that Morticia could walk on his belly should she need to. This was highly difficult, as his feathered wings were not designed for this manner of flying. Particularly at their present altitude. But the sailor was long practiced in the art, having learned on his own as a means to check the sails on his ship, then perfected it in this manner while teaching Liliana and Talagand in the use of their own wings. In the process he had somehow managed to become the family's chief flying teacher for those of feathered wings. It was a nice variant from sailing & womanizing.
With his paws he guided the kits wings through some of the motions he had been showing. "Amun's a good lad. Had the chance te help him a bit when he was learning to fly. I'd wanted to see how he progressed but..." Aear shrugged. "Ne're did see him again."
The smile he flashed Morgana was bright & friendly. Certainly it bordered on the flirtatious, but Aear could hardly deny his nature. "He's a right lucky lad, Morgana-lass. Glad for ye both. Love's fair wondrous."

Morgy gently set Morty go so she could go to Aear, "Yes, I have met Moonsprite, she is still quite excited to be a grandmother. And Morty loves her as well. I am hoping Lucia can help me with Morty as well, especially with Nunzio busy with the others taking care of Mami." she said softly, keeping an eye on her daughter, giving Aear a small smile.
Morty flapped her wings and made her way to Aear's belly, pawing at the blue and white fur curiously.

"She made a lovely mother, I'm sure that's only increased being a grandmother." There was a tightening inside him that Aear casually pushed aside. He smiled at the kit upon his belly, using his paws to help her wings through another set of moves. Make the learning fun, make it not seem like work and they will learn it. Casual learning, that was his way.
"Mami? She's carrying eggs, isn't she? I think Ginny-lass said something about it." He gave a slow smile. "But then, ye're part o' Ginny's other family aren't ye? Aye..." The sailor answered his own question. "Aye. I remember now."
A thoughtful look, not at all like his usual interest filled his features as he continued to speak while gently working the young kit's wigs. "Lucia... She be Nunzio's daughter aye? Bet she's a knockout. Her daddy'll have to beat the lads back."
He grinned at the kit again. "Like for this lil' beauty."or Sere... Sweet Neptune! What'll I do about my lovely Seer-lass?!?

Morgy flew around them in a slow circle, just to keep herself moving. "Yes, she is gorgeous. Nunzio always frets when she goes off on her own, because he is scared she will bring home a male, just like Mami did with Sondreas." she said simply.
Morty let him move her wings and she got used to the movement, slowly starting to move them like that on her own. But she did what she always did when she got comfortable, she stuffed her paw into her mouth and started sucking on it like a baby and she whined loudly when Morgy flew over and took her paw out of her mouth gently .

He chuckled softly as Morgana stopped her daughter of her kit-habit. It was a cute habit, but one certain to leave the fur of that paw subtly different than the other if it kept up for too long. "Aye... but better she bring the male home then run off... ne'er to be seen again."
Lead gripped his heart in an iron grasp. Was that what he was afraid of? Losing his 'little girl' and never getting to see her again? Or was it something else?
His Hiril Anorfalf would be incredibly lonely without her.
