Though Bryna still needed to finish learning how to write before she could make letters for Ed, it simply wasn't her nature to sit around doing nothing... or even float around doing nothing, at least not unless it involved expanding her paperclip chain. But, she'd given that to Ed to take with him on his trip, and therefore, she couldn't work on it and needed to find something else to entertain herself with.
At the moment she was trailing around after a rather peeved vulpine, the fox stopping to throw her dirty looks every once in a while because she kept scaring off the game. Its attempts to throw her off its trail had proved pointedly useless, however, and since she remained frustratingly out of reach the fox couldn't drive her off in more conventional ways, either. Someone distract her, for God's sake! The fox was hungry!

That was when Roy happened to stumble across Bryna, his ears pricked up as he carried a thick stack of papers in his maw. Stopping between Bryna and the fox, he gazed at the fox curiously before pinning his ears back and growling loudly. The fox growled back, but ran off after realizing that Roy was much bigger than he was.
Shaking his head, he turned his attention to the other kitsu, one of his ears pricking up slightly. If he didn't have the stack of papers in his maw he would have asked Bryna why she was doing out of the safety of the HQ building. Sighing silently, he sat down on his haunches and gently laid his paperwork down on the ground.

Bryna watched the fox go, something as close to disappointment as the little Nobody could feel fixed in her expression. Well... there went her entertainment. Well... maybe.
Bryna drifted a little closer to the ground and to Roy. "Why did you run the fox off?"

Roy ignored Bryna for a few brief moments as he picked up his papers and shoved them inside of his uniform jacket. It was then that he heard her question and he shot a stern look at the younger kitsu. "Little kits need to learn that creatures bigger than the average adolescent are dangerous and should be left alone." He stiffed his posture as he pinned both ears back against his skull.

"Rule number one-never question your elders," he said to her in a sharp voice. Hearing her comment, he quickly pulled out the papers, tossed them in the air, and snapped, causing the papers to catch on fire. "Papers? What papers? I see none in sight," he said smugly. Now he was going to get in trouble for burning those important documents his human sent him to find.

If Roy was hoping for an impressed reaction... well... Bryna lived with Ifrit and he literally did that sort of thing in his sleep, so... it wasn't really anything new to her. "Well it's kinda hard to see the papers when you burned them and the ash is getting all over your clothes." >>
She drifted a smidge closer and wiggled her arms at him. "I have armsocks!" Bryna was quite proud of her armsocks.

Roy narrowed his eyes at the tiny femme in front of him. "You sure are a little wise-alec, huh?" He raised an eyebrow slightly and placed his lifted paw on Bryna's head. "You remind me of someone that I used to know."

Bryna blinked golden eyes at Roy, allowing the weight of his paw to slowly lever her to the ground. "Who do I remind you of?" Headtilt.

Roy chuckled deep in his throat. "An old commrad and subordiante. He is a little spitfire and hotheaded alchemist. Me and him don't get along that great, yet he is the only kitsu that is keeping me sane in this new world I call home."

His description gave Bryna niggling little hunch and so she let her telepathy do what it did to try and see if she was right. After a moment she blinked up at him. "You know Edward Nii-chan?"

"How do you know Full Metal?" he asked her, a little uncertain if Bryna knew Edward. He wasn't even sure where his subordinate was nor how he was. 'He's gonna get himself into trouble again,' he thought to himself.

Bryna grinned. "Nii-chan is my friend. We talk and he shows me things. And I make sure his bolts aren't loose." Bryna nodded enthusiastically, but then suddenly became more demure. "He said he's going on a trip though... so I can't check his bolts..." Her brow furrowed.
But it was gone quickly enough. She floated back up to eye level with Roy. "I'm Bryna! What's your name?" She hadn't tried to pluck that little tidbit out with her telepathy yet.

Roy sighed slightly as he heard that Ed was going on a trip. 'I wonder where to. Knowing him he will get in even more trouble on his trip than he does here,' he thought to himself, his eyes narrowing instinctively. Hearing the tiny kitsu say her name, he gazed up to see the kitsu floating at eye level with him.
He nearly panicked at this. He knew that kitsu weren't supposed to fly if they didn't have wings. "R...roy Mustang," he said in a nervous tone of voice. 'Focus, Roy, she must have gotten that from one of her parents. Yeah, that's it. One of her parents must know how to levitate without wings.'

There was a long, very long pause as Bryna looked him over again as if memorizing him. So this was the Roy Mustang Nii-chan had spoken of in such an unhappy tone? Hmm.
All at once she tugged something out of her coat and then a stream of water splattered itself between Roy's eyes just above his muzzle. She had a water pistol in her paws and she floated back a few feet before he could grab it. She looked rather pleased with herself. "I squirted Roy Mustang for Nii-chan!" She'd have to add that to her letter... though little did she know she was going to have the opportunity to tell Edward face to face.
