A major complaint that arises when books become movies is that you can't fit every line, joke, and subplot into a three-hour block. If a book were instead presented as a TV series, then this wouldn't have to be so, they could include everything, and maybe even add to it.
Alot of anime fans like Harry Potter, and vice-versa. I'm a bit curious to see if anyone likes the idea of Harry Potter being re-invented as an anime series. Every book could be a season, and they could elaborate on scenarios rather than shortening them. Thoughts? (Please don't flame me)

I've always thought of that idea, and I've always wished that someone would think to do it, but it's never been thought of by a Japanese artist yet. I think it would be a great idea.

Being an avid anime fan myself, the idea sounds appealing. But then the anime will still have to cut stuff out, lest it be too slow moving. And the voicing (in my opinion) would sound odd if it wasn't the movie cast because I'm so accustomed to it.

I have to agree with Nazomi....And while I like the idea of the anime, I don't know if I'd be so crazy to see the Golden Trio be the main plot line...maybe if they did an anime of the Marauders, or Fred and George's exploits? Tonk/Kingsley in the Auror training/work?

Actually, there is already Harry Potter fan comics in Japan, as such is the way of things there, so technically, Japanese artists have had their hands at it. Most of the fan comics are pervy though. Well, they wouldn't have to, it would depend on the tastes of the director. You could always become accustomed to a new cast over time, but I think that they should still be British. I only like looking at the pictures I think alot of the pictures are very good and I find that many of the artists are very talented and not bring any shame to the harry potter series.

I thought the 4th and 5th ones were a too condensed though. Personally, so did I, but I believe that condensing the long and involved plots of the books is a necessiary evil. I mean, the things that could have been changed can be endlessly debated, but to cover every minute detail would be a bit overdrawn.

I, being an anime fan as well, might have to protest this one.
I love the fact that only one movie and one book come out every year. I think any other variation would just be overkill. You know? It really just adds excitement and enthusiasm when you have only those two things to look forward to.

I believe that an animated series made from the collection of books would be most excellent simply because there is no possible way the artist(s) could leave anything out.

that would be a great idea!
the only problem is that the first three seasons would be rather short, while the last four would be extremely long in comparison. i think that might be solveable by adding more summer adventures, and other extras like that.

that would be diffrent, but kinda cool! you know people have to kinda see something before they judge it, like befor ei saw harry potter i thought it was another lame-o movie from a book, not until i saw the movie i love d it, and so yes i'd think that would be awesome

Oh god no. No Harry Potter anime. I mean, its not an awful idea, but there's way too much of an anime hype with crappily made ones. And HP has already been franchised from every nook and cranny that it could be. I think we should just stick to the regular books and the crappy movies. And the knock off candy and wands, and robes, and other books, and hats, and night lights, and gum, and mints...
