Mid-July. Hard for the stallion to believe that so much time had passed since his entrance to these lands. He’d learned so much about how to act socially and how to be more “Out-going,” yet he’d held onto who he was in general. The stallion still skirted around large groups of people, only spoke in conversations when he was being spoken to directly.. But subtle changes made everything more comfortable for others. For example.. Smiling. For awhile he’d thought that it was a weird social custom.. Just baring your teeth (or not) depending on how happy you were? Weird. Now smiles would come and go at simple things.
Huffing and puffing a bit his intricately marked coat appeared a bit matted down or even blurred from sweat. Harij looked around and listened to see where water would be. Since the little Usdia pony, Ahote, had shown him the pleasure of climbing and being on what seemed like “the top of the world” He had made regular visits to a mountain near his usual home just to climb and feel the exertion and happiness it brought him. Two ears pricked forward and he began a prancing and ambling pace feeling a bit of the adrenaline still going.
Of course, he’d feel a bit silly if anybody was watching the fully grown stallion prance the way his nephews did.. But hell… Everybody has to live sometime!

For as long as she lived near them, the mare never once thought about scaling the mountains. Well, it wasn't the fact that she couldn't go, it was more along the lines that she never really wanted to go. But now, her curiousity finally found herself walking down the path.
Ayanna just scaled the paths, finding her wings quite useful when coming upon a steep slope she couldn't naturally climb without them. After finding a rest spot, she peered over the edge and snorted softly. Seeing her current position, she figured she would find the valley where the river ran through and go home through that way. The trek home didn't really bother her, what did was the thought of her going this way just to find nothing. Hopefully this trek wasn't for nothing as she turned and continued down the path.

Harij was in the valley not far from where Ayanna was wandering to. He’d been climbing again and as-usual gotten himself more than a little bit over-heated. It was a test in patience to dip his nose into the delicious water and not suck down as much as he could til the water made him bloated.
Coming up with nostrils flared and dripping water, Harij felt wonderful. He’d made the climb on his own this time without any help and hadn’t stumbled more than once or twice. Occasionally a pebble or larger rock would shift beneath his feet but time was making it easier to transition smoothly from a sliding rock or anything else that came his way. So distracted by taking water in slowly and thinking of his victory that he hardly realized that the scent of someone else was in the air around him. Blinking widely he called out softly, “Is there someone about?”

She was about to climb higher when she heard the faint sound of someone's voice. Her ears perked and swiveled to pinpoint where it came from and determined that it was in the valley.
With that, she stepped over to the side that looked over it and peered down. Barely, she could make out the form of another horse. They weren't familiar to her, so it wasn't one of her herdmates taking a journey. She didn't think the other had any mal-intent, so she saw no problem in shouting a reply down to them. "Yeah, up here!"

Harij’s ears swiveled in curiosity and he twisted his slowly cooling body the way he suspected the noise to be coming from. Well, not so much a noise but the thought of a person. Was it Ahote? He hadn’t run into the pony on any of his hiking trips, so that would be a bit random.
His head lifted up to gaze up. The only thing his eyes could make out was something probably light colored, winged, and a glittering horn. “Are you coming down or going up?” It’d probably be polite to ask instead of hollering for her to head on down. If down wasn’t her intent he’d just go ahead and focus on cooling off some more.

The mare listened carefully as he called up to her once again. Initially, she was going up, but she figured that there was nothing too great up there. With that, she replied. "I'm heading down. Hold on."
With a jump, she leaped from the edge of the cliff where she was. It wasn't too long after the dive that she spread her clear wings and caught the wind under them. Slowly, she began to glide down to the valley where the other horse was, flapping her wings every now and then to watch her speed and altitude.

Harij canted his head to the left and let both ears p***k forward keenly. Soon enough he’d know if there was going to be someone to talk to for a few minutes. Luckily he was feeling much much cooler now.
Just as Harij opened his mouth to respond to her coming down he saw the figure take a flying leap off the cliff and the opened mouth went slack and gaped. The transparent-white wings didn’t really show very well to him until she began gliding and not falling like a rock. Well now.. Had he seen her wings and forgotten? Or had his brain simply decided to stop functioning?

After a few minutes or so, the mare finally landed gracefully on the ground below. Once she was settled, she fluttered her wings before letting them rest, closed, behind her.
With a slight toss of her mane, she glanced to the other, which she can now obviously see was an interesting marked stallion. At his gaped expression, she couldn't help but giggle slightly. "Did I worry you with my 'leap of faith'?"
