So, I had a facial today. >_>
The question today is: do you think facials work? Are they worth the monies? Or do you believe it is simply a waste of valuable dollars?
Also, have you ever had your own facial?

I've never had a facial, but could never see myself wanting one.
WHY!?

I've never had one. It would be interesting to try out. Alas, I do not have the spare monies at the moment for it.

Never had a facial done, and it never really interested me.
Besides you can only do so much with ugliness. I don't think a facial would be enough to hide my ugly mug.

Facials don't so much hide ugliness but helps clean your face more than anything. It helps get rid of some things that you normally couldn't get off on your own, or get rid of things that normally would take forever to get rid of. At least, that's my personal experience with it.

A while ago, for some reason I am not sure, I had a zit breakout. So I went and had a series of facials done which were very beneficial. Also, I went on doxycycline which I still take to this day. I now only get a zit occasionally. I also have some retin-A to put on them if I get one.

i've never had a facial done, but it's something i wouldn't mind trying someday.. cause i think they do give you a pretty good deep down cleaning down into the pores that i could probably use..

Well, it's been about 5 days since the facial...I really don't know how to treat this. I mean, am I supposed to expect very visible results, or is it all supposed to be a subtle change?

lol, what's wrong with getting facials? I like being clean! And there are just some things over the years you can't remove with a bar of soap! Or off the shelf cleansers

Never hand one. Only cause I worry if it will be expensive.

I've never had a real one, but I'd be interested to try. I only ever clean my face with warm water and a wash cloth, but it works fine for me. *shrugs* When other girls find that out (and the fact that I rarely if ever have a zit) they look like they're ready to kill me for my complexion xd

Ethan Dirtch Well, it's been about 5 days since the facial...I really don't know how to treat this. I mean, am I supposed to expect very visible results, or is it all supposed to be a subtle change? I don't know what you expected but you are not going to see any visible change from one facial. If you are going for blackheads or acne it takes a few sessions to get rid of blackheads for example. And they are expensive too. Instead of getting facials, you could get the products they use. A good exfoliating soap, some salicylic acid topical cream (like 2%), and maybe some Retin-A from the doctor.
