This is The Temple's Decorations, home to Ballad and Whistle. The lovers were separated by death and are now reunited, let's see what life holds for them, their new family, and any who join them!

How to Join, Ranking List, Pride Rules
-Introduce your Lion coming up to the King/Queen and asking permission to join. If your lion meets the standards, then they will be accepted, and you will need to pm me (Latonia de la Courtel) the form below. It helps if you already have a Rank decided (even if your lion is only a cub) so I get an idea of what you will be doing in the Pride and who I will still need to get... Shamans and So on..

Role: To protect the Pride, lead, patrol lands.
Queen-Filled~ Whistle
Role: Lead Hunt if necessary, lead, support king, patrol, tend heirs, help other members.
Advisor- Filled~ Sumner
Role: Elder who advises the king, witnesses treaties and alliances.
Shaman: Open
Role: Tribe/Prides Healer. This Lioness oversees birthing, and will tend wounded, sick, or dying lions in the hopes of reviving them.
Royals: Casalure, PyreDancer, Songstress
Role: Princes, Princesses who are Teens or Cubs, and don't have another Pride Ranking
Hunt Mistress- Open~
Role: Leads the Hunt, plans and executes it.
Lead Warrior: Open
Role: King's Second, Leads Warriors against Hyenas and other enemies.
Hunt Sisters (3): Open~
Role: Aid the Hunt Mistress, follow her directions, help her bring down the kill. Also help bring it back, and teach cubs to hunt.
Warriors (1): Open~ Rounce
Role: Males that aid the king and help guard the females from any unwanted guests.
Den Sisters (3): Open:
Role: Help the den mother with the cubs and kittens. They are also in charge of keeping the main cave safe and clean.
Scouts (2): Open: Tala
Role: Patrol the territory warding off any unwanted guests and potentially dangerous enemies when the King cannot, or Scout along with the King.
Pride Sisters (2): Open
Role:Help out when needed. Cub Sitting, Hunting, Teaching Cubs, Cleaning, Scouting, etc. They need to be able to do anything.
Visitors: Open (No Limit)
Role: Males or Females who have friends or family within the Pride.. If welcomed by the King and Queen, they may stay for any length of time (until you become a member, leave, or are kicked out...). The Pride Rules Pride Rules- Males are allowed into the Pride. - They may leave when they reach maturity. - Females must ask permission before leaving the pride, and provide a reason. - The king has the right to challenge anyone he sees as a threat. - There will be no killing of lions - None have the right to Challenge for Kingship - Elders/Leaders shall be respected, and give Respect

History: A Dream come to life, Whistle first stepped out of Ballad's dreams to be with him. She was slain (though neither knows how) and went to the Spirit World, where she met her three friends. Tierany and Venati returned to living with her, while Lord Jivan is the one who gave them the chance.
Skills: Dimplomatic, Sensitive and Discreet, almost anyone will talk to Whistle. She can hear things that others can't see what others won't, and learn things most wouldn't ever know.

((Old Opening Post!))
Ballad smiled over his shoulder, speaking words of encouragement to his cubs and purring to his mate. They had been wandering for some time, but after seeing this area, he knew this was a place they could all live, for a time. He would put aside his wandering spirit and raise his family, and do all in his power to keep them safe. "Almost there."
Whistle smiled at her mate, nosing his cheek for a moment. The sun would be rising soon, and she wanted to get her children sheltered before that happened. As cubs, they were still delicate, as were their pyreflys... If they were exposed to the taxing rays of the sun, they would be very sick, and very weak.
"Just a little bit further." She coaxed, smiling even as Casalure- the eldest and strongest- stumbled. "Come on DearHearts, just a bit farther."
Songstress, the youngest and most delicate, gave a tiny mew as she stumbled and tripped over her own paws. She landed roughly, but struggled to her feet, fearing the sunrise more than her elder sister.
PyreDancer, the middle child, seemed to have the least problem with sunlight. Casalure, all smokey purples and silver mist, looked like a lion of the twilight, storms and night... And that's exactly what he was. She seemed to be just fine in the sun, much like her mother. Though, on occassion, it did make her irritable. "Come on Tess."
Casalure hesitated, letting his father take the lead alone, and hung back to let Tess lean on his shoulder. He smiled at her when she glanced at him, and she smiled back. With a nod of encouragement, he began walking again, helping her along. "Just a bit more Tess."
Ballad smiled as he crested the final hill and looked down on the little oasis. No bigger than a Pride area, it was rather cut off from most of the other Pride Lands, but had everything they would need. Dense trees, ferns and brush would enable the cubs to play and live even when the sun was shining, and with an abundance of water and game in the immediate area, they would live quite well. A cave was situated at one end of the oasis, which would house the family, and perhaps a pride, quite comfortably. "Home."
Whistle smiled, and watched her cubs skitter up after their father, making her own noise of awe as she looked over the lands. It was beautiful.
"Home." She agreed, and nosed her mate's cheek.

~Latonia de la Courtel~ Ballad considered the young male for a moment, deciding the Prince really didn't understand what he had suggested, at least, not when it related to his daughter...
"I'm sure you mean for your words to be complimentary, but too much exposure to the sun and heat makes Songstress unwell... As it did to all of our first litter... To this day, sunlight has the power to kill her brother, my Son Casalure, whom you met... And it still sickens Tessa and PyreDancer in their adulthood..." He said softly, glancing at Tessa and Dancer. Dark x Deception "Another reason for her to stay here. I don't want any danger to come to Princess Songstress. She's too precious." He sighed a little, looking at his feet.
"Forgive me, King Ballad, I do not mean to offend or any of the sort. I just want Songstress happy and healthy. Even if it means us not living together..." He trailed off a little, looking up at the King. "But, if she wishes to stay with me, then I will have no qualms or problems on my end. My family will certainly love her, as well. I shall make sure that she is shaded at all times and our little room underground is clean and has a sufficient air supply."
Halo thought himself digging into a deep hole, but he was only speaking the truth and what came from his heart. He really meant well for Songstress and her family. ~Latonia de la Courtel~ Ballad considered the young Prince, then his daughter, and then Halo again... He smiled, eyes kind, and sighed softly. "Prince Halo.. You love for my daughter is not questioned, and I do wish you would stop being so afraid of me... I am not waiting for you to put a paw out of line and then forbid you from seeing her... You are a more than suitable candidate for my daughter's beloved... As for where Tessa remains, the choice is her's..."
Songstress smiled and returned to Halo's side, nuzzling his cheek and purring in his ear. "Sit down.. Relax..."
She glanced at her father, love in her eyes, and then looked back to Halo, her heart doing that funny little flip that it always did when she looked at him... She loved this male dearly... Dark x Deception "Well then...forgive me for this." Halo promptly let himself fall on his belly in front of the Royal family. "My legs have been shaking since I got here." He huffed, giving a funny, yet charming grin that he gained from his father.
"Yes, Songstress shall decide what she wishes. I just hope she knows that there is always a home for her where I am. I'm sure the Oasis would be a perfect spot for us." He said thinking about the lush green and plenty of shade. He could dig out a separate den if he needed to.
"I feel a lot better now." He said, and nudged Songstress on her foot resting his chin on her left forepaw. His tail flicked, feathers brushing against hers. "I'm sure we'll think of something."

Tala hopped off the rock, and padded over to Whistle, sitting between her front paws. He eyed the the new male on the cave floor near him. He had wings...that was a new one. He grinned at the tired male, who looked like he was half dead. Ballad was a..large male, and it was easy to fear him. Really easy.

Glad to have the young Tala in her grasp, Whistle wrapped a foreleg around him to hold him still, and gave him a loving swipe of her tongue, laughing softly. "Hello you."
Ballad smiled indulgently and lowered himself to the floor of the cave, crossing his forepaws and considering the winged male. He was faintly amused the other male had been so frightened, but pitied him as well.. He didn't mean to scare Halo, but, he was protective of his daughter... He couldn't help it..
"You are more than welcome to relax here, and if you wish, I believe a hunt was going to occur, should you wish to feed... Tessa is more than welcome to follow you, I'm sure she'd come back to visit."
He eyed his daughter. "She tends to keep an eye on us."
Songstress laughed softly, smiling lovingly at her mate. She nodded at her father, assuring him that she would return to keep an eye on the Pride... She loved her younger siblings so much, she wouldn't just abandon them...
Casalure smiled at Rounce, glad they had taken their walk.. He really didn't want to witness Halo asking to take Songstress away, it saddened him.. He loved his sister.. Had protected her since they were kits... Would always want what was best for her... But he would be sad to see her go...
"Go for a run Rounce?" He asked softly.

"I can go hunt, in all honestly. I actually enjoy the thrill. And with these blessed wings, it makes things easier..." He trailed off a little giving a slight smile. "Songstress can do whatever she wishes. I do not want to dampen her brightly glowing spirit or her freedom of movement. However, if she wishes to visit, I will escort her. I don't want anything happening to our precious Songstress.." He looked up at his mate, smiling then back to her father. "I just hope that I can also be able to help the family whenever you are in need." His wings slightly stretched before resting back on the floor, the feathers brushing against his mate's legs and paws.

Songstress sighed as her father and mate then started talking about protecting her, rolling her eyes. The brush of his wing against her legs made her stroke a feather with a gentle paw, smiling at him. "I can protect myself you know... I'm not made of glass." Her voice was faintly amused.
Dancer stood, calling attention to herself. "If its all the same Prince, I'll go hunt... You should stay and relax, and get to know the family."
She smiled and paced to the mouth of the cave, pausing only to nuzzle her mother before she stepped out into the night. "I'll visit Casalure while I'm out."
And then she was gone.
