The young filly was in a very good mood, even more so than usual. They were off to meet her father, if they could find him, for the first time in Calantha's life. Her mother had told her quite a bit about him, but so far they hadn't found him.
Slowly they trotted side by side through a small grove of apples, dappled light filtering through the tree-tops. Calantha stared up at the tree-tops, looking at the bright red apples, like those that adorned her coat."Are you tired, Cally?" Tika asked her daughter, staring back at her, since she had stopped to admire a very ripe apple, and was currently trying to fly up and get it. Tika trotted back, and with a quick nudge of her muzzle, the apple fell down next to her daughter. "After you're done, we'll keep looking." She said as she stood by her daughter, and picked off an apple for herself. Waiting for her daughter to finish eating, she watched for any movement in the grove.

The tall stallion quietly walked through the fields as he looked around. For some reason the little wolf he had come to know very well slipped away from the teepee earlier that morning and ever since then he could not find her at all. The apples in the apple trees seemed to scream out to him, so Apple made his way over towards them. His mouth seemed to water when he thought of the delicious taste of an apple in his mouth. As he reached up for an apple that resembled the one on his rump, he noticed something moving in the distance, and he wondered if it was his little blue friend.
The small figured seemed to be eating an apple? Quickly, he picked his apple and made his way over towards the figured that had caught his eye. "Maylin?" He whispered as he lowered his head so that it was even with the dark figure, which was slowly starting to resemble a foal. Apple immediatly stopped in his tracks as he looked around for the foal's mother. Hopefully she wouldn't go crazy and get mad at him for being too close to her baby.

Tika had turned away to pick off another apple, but she heard something behind her.
Calantha continued to work on eating her apple, her teeth still quite small, making it hard to chew. She looked up as someone approached her, not frightened since her mother was so close by. Her head tilted off to one side, she stared up at him, slowly getting back onto her hooves, with all the grace she could muster. "Hello." She said as she walked towards him, staring at his markings, which were quite similar to her's.
Tika turned around, to watch her daughter, and make sure she didn't get in trouble. But as soon as she saw who it was, she smiled. "Hello Apple." She said as she trotted over to him.

The stallion took a few more steps towards the filly until he was close enough to see her markings. His eyes quickly widened as he heard the voice of Tika. Both of their voices seemed to ring in his ears. "Hello. Tika? This is your daughter?" He asked looking at the fillies wings and the marking on her face that looked exactly like the marking on Tika's face.

"Yes, and your's." She said as she stopped beside her daughter.
Calantha continued to stare, now with a look of understanding on her face. She thought it could be him, from what her mother had told her, but now she knew for sure.
"Calantha, I believe you have figured out who he is. Apple, this is Calantha." She said as she nuzzled her daughter, to get her attention.
Calantha merely nodded in response, now staring up at her father and mother.

Apple stood quiet for a moment before he spoke to the mare. "Really? My daughter?" He asked as he gently lowered his head to his daughter. "Hello Calantha." The spotted stallion said as he gently nuzzled his daughter.

Tika nodded. "She even got one of your markings." She said, before nudging her daughter closer, since she was hanging back a bit.
"Hello." She said simply, as he nuzzled her. "Mommy has told me a lot about you, and we were looking for you. But I think you found us." She added quick.

"Yes, she did get one of my markings." He said smiling to the little filly that shared the same face marking that her mother had. "I see she has a marking like yours as well." The tall stallion said with a small smile on his face as he listened to his daughters voice. "I hope everything she said about me was good." Apple said with a small wink.

Calantha nodded. "Of course." She said as she fluttered her wings, hovering a foot off the ground. "And mommy's wings." She added, continuing to hover.
Tika smiled as she watched her young daughter. After a moment she picked up an apple off the ground, letting her daughter get to know her father.

"Well, thats good." He said looking to Tika with a small smile plastered acrossed his face. "They look gorgeous on you." He said with a soft smile on his face as he bent his head down to nuzzle his daughter a little. The large, spotted stallion could hardly believe that this little filly infront of him was his daughter. How, and when did this happen? Apple gave Tika a look, hoping she would answer his questions.

Tika wasn't sure how it happened herself, so she returned his somewhat puzzled look.
Calantha stretched out her wings to their furthest span, bobbing along in the little space the trees offered. She really wanted to get out in the open to fly.
((How do you explain it? I don't know.))

Apple smiled at his daughter stretching her wings. Slowly he began to walk towards the way he came from and nodded his head for his daughter to follow. The place he was found the most was where he was taking her, where she could flapping her wings and spread them as far as she pleased.
((an accident or something? *shrugs*))

Tika trotted just behind her daughter. While she didn't show it, she was constantly on the look out for danger, flicking her ears to every strange noise. Motherhood had matured her quite a bit.((I guess.))

"Becareful now." Apple said in a calm soothing voice. He knew his daughter would be okay, but he didn't want her to accidentally slam into a tree. His head slowly turned so that he could see Tika who seemed to be listening intently on all the noises surrounding them. One of his ears pricked forwards as the other pricked to one side. 'Hm... my family... I like the sound of that.' Apple thought to himself as he glanced down to his daughter as his ears continued to p***k up as he listened for any unwelcomed things that might be lurking about.

Calantha merely grinned in response, as she landed with a soft thud, deciding to trot the rest of the way. "I am always careful." She said as she stared up at him, and walked into a bush, whether she intended to or not, she would not admit. After shaking the leaves out of her forelock, she continued on.
Tika continued to keep watch, but couldn't help giggling when Calantha walked into the bush. She knew she wouldn't be hurt, since it didn't have any thorns on it.
