Are there any fans of the Negima manga here? It is by the same guy who did Love Hina.
If you don't know about it, it is about Negi Springfield, a 10 year old genius wizard from the United Kingdom who is now living and teaching at a girls school in Japan.
His class has 31 beautiful and uniquely (sp?) talented middle school girls that cover all the genres of manga fantasy and fiction. Robot, vampire, kung fu, samurai, gun slinger, acrobat, actress, air head and so on. Some of them enter into contracts with Negi and have their abilities magically enhanced. Negi himself is learning Chinese martial arts at an amazing pace and becomes a battle mage.

That sounds really interesting actually... Do they sell it at normal bookstores??? If they do I might just pick up a copy to see how I like it!

It is sold at American book stores (Borders and Barnes & Noble) but is shrink wrapped and you have to be 14 to buy it due to the occasional nudity. eek redface The English version is up to volume 14, while the Japanese version that I collect is up to volume 18 with 19 coming very soon.
One of the neat things about the art is that they create all the backgrounds as highly detailed polygonal sets. That way they can reuse the sets over and over while moving the camera to any point that they want. Then they just hand draw the characters and drop them in with the appropriate shading and lighting effects.

XD My friend recently told me that they do the same thing if you want to buy InuYasha...and I was like WTF mate? InuYashawa isn't that bad, although it does have much swearing and occasional nudity too.
But they seem to only do that for the DVD stuff... they said nothing about my manga...now look at me I started talking about InuYasha in a totaly different thread...XD sweatdrop
