Oh ya huh.... Well I have the story behind that. Guess I'll post it on my profile. And just for the sake of correctness Mahna's weapon isn't a sword it's a Halberg. Essentially a Spear pole with an ax head at the point.

right, it's not really a sword at all. I'm working on an update but it's not really coming to me, I've nothing to do tomorrow so if not now, then.
Plot wise May'a is wanted and cursed, so she's pretty open. Bronwyn and her pursuers don't need to do anything about May'a having been there, it was just a convenient plot device for me plus it helps connect locations. Other than finding out about the card is there anything Mahna might be interested in? Bronwyn mentioned an uprising to herself, this could lead places, but uprising against what?
As for Inese I think she should come in later, let's just say she and Bronwyn had plans to meet up back at the hotel tonight and she's not doing anything important, or all that interesting.
On a similar subject, what would be a good name for a rich guy whose greed causes him to become consumed by evil magics, enslaving him to their will and turning him into a villain the likes of Lex Luther. Given this world we play in.

I remember we were planning on having some local crime lords rule over parts of Rinon in Guilds. I was thinking that an upheaval of some sort in the guilds would make for an interesting plotline. It also leave lots of room for creative problem solving and good villans and what have you.
I'm thinking that Bronwyn is involved with the uprising somehow, perhaps going against it (haven't really decided yet).
I dunno, I just thought we needed some sort of problem to solve in the city while we try to get people involved. This one would be easy for anyone to jump into, as long as they understood the idea behind the guilds. I'd love to have people for and against said uprising, but getting people to post is harder than i'd like.
And as for a name...um...well, what race you thinking?

Human, male, middle aged.... probably kinda germanic; his rich comes from his family.
That sounds like a good overplot, something people could get into or have no idea is happening (until some major fight breaks out). Plus if it's a big crime group they might exist in other cities too, helping to give past and future for people maybe.

Okay then... Well as for the Teroa I'm thinking of them being neutral towards all other races. Refusing to get involved with any confrontations or wars that do not include them directly. And that May'a is seeking their help in some kind of guild related uprising or war of somekind.
And as for Mahna's connection with his card... I'm thinking that he received it from the altar at the main Church in the Teroan Capital, where his blade was forged.
The Church is the Center of the Teroan Capital, where every coming of age Teroan comes to to pray at the altar to receive their role in the Teroan society, and that the altar itself holds power from some kind of ancient form of card magic.

May'a is new to the city too, she was going somewhere and a bounty hunter (the dude that knocked out that drunk you chopped up) caught her. Since Teroa are the oldest race on the planet they are probably know, by whoever has actually heard of them, to be very wise, and might be able to help May'a her problem that I am having trouble putting into words, so I'll use this segment from the 100 questions thing. #9. Do you have any allergies, diseases, or other physical weaknesses? Due to a mostly unexplained magic accident her body has been converted into a relatively fragile form of dense crystallized magical energy, a good fall can cause it to fracture, healing it consists of absorbing magical energy from some source, it is not a pleasant sensation. When uninjured she look perfectly normal. this also explains what happened when she grabbed Mahna's hand. So this church gave Mahna this card, and sent him out into the world? Sounds like a quest to me. Just a thought, since May'a is basically made of magic, and Bronwyn is a mage of some sort or another, May'a is probably a huge blinking dot on Bron's magical radar.

I'm thinking that while Mahna was praying, the altar, of its own accord, presented him with the card. When he was to ashamed to admit it to his peers and fellow Teroa, he set out into the world to find the true meaning of why he received the card when magic was so looked down upon in the Male Teroan Society.
Remember that I want the altar to be the center of the Capital, and that maybe the Teroan were spawned off of some of the oldest Card Magic ever to be discovered. Unless this conflicts with someone else's ideas.....

No, I kinda like that idea, Dilagence. Makes them seem more mysterious and interesting. And Mahna sounds something like a Monk the way you describe him.
And thanks for the heads up, Lily...I'll write something into Bronwyn's post about sensing May'a. Made completely of magic, you say? I'm assuming we're talking about the old kind of magic...nothing related to cards, right?

ye olde magic indeed, but it takes a lot to crystallize ether form.
Edit: also, I've been thinking, and I think most of the stickies in the main forum need major overhauls, I'm just looking at the character thread but it's pretty bad and I think that might be keeping some people away, I'll see what I can do tomorrow but feel free to throw up suggestions.

Dilagence, reading through your posts I happen to notice only one thing wrong.
Your mispelling of Halberd. Now why this may not bother the layman, it bothers me because I'm extremely a**l retentive when it comes to mispelled words. I'm sorry for the inconvenience.

Oh, grow up Jikial. It's a common error. I've seen it a dozen times over.
And lily, if you want help overhauling, just drop me a note. I haven't anything to do this week, while my friends are at school and my parents at work...

I have just completely failed at having anything at all to add to this conversation....
I did a little updating to a few of the stickies, just minor stuff like the new picture on the characters thread, the monsters thread is gonna be restructured to have a section for animals as well as monsters (notice the differentiation thats there now) We really need to finish that Species guide, or rather start on it, I'm fairly sure I checked some of the other ones but have absolutely no memory of it...

Jikial I'll have you know that I'm always a jerk when I'm hyper. An excellent excuse. No, really. I'm impressed. And I'll just look around the stickies and see if there's anything I can do EDIT: I reworked some of the Character thread so the first post is a bit easier to read. I may start on the species guide later today if I get bored.
