"N-no! Not really. I-I mean. . . "Kosha sighed not sure what to do. So she dropped to her knees and bowed her head again.

"I'm sorry if I had offended you earlier. I guess I'm still a brat after all." Then she sat back and scratched the side of her head absently, laughing nervously. "I still tend to say things I don't really mean."

"Well, uh. . . "Kosha was at a loss for words. She sat back into the grass that framed the spring and lifted her head.

"I'm not scared! You were the one trapsing around in nothing but a towel! Any respectable lady would avert her eyes," she bit out in a low voice. A blush reddened her cheeks at the thought of it. She raised a hand to her cheek in attempts to cover it.

Cody's jerked to attention and and touched his chest and markings appeared on his body and his armor formed over him. He ran over to Ace, "Ace, what happened?"He picked up Ace and grabbed the girl he put them over his shoulders and said to the girl "Watch behind us, so they can't jump us."he started a monstrous sprint down the alley.

"Let me down you fool!" Kosha yelped as he hefted her and Ace away. Even though she was pinned to his shoulder, she looked at the people who closed in on them from the rooftops.

With a quick flick she took out three with pins she had that held her hair back. The black locks fell about her face as she shifted to grab at a small purse tied to her belt.

"Who goes and picks a fight this late at night in the Gale District!?!!" She yells with a sidelong look at Ace. "If you aren't strong enough to fend them off then they mob you and take everything they can even your life. Fine place to wander human."

Then she pulled out the blades in his back and slapped a healing salve over the wounds which she had retrieved from the purse.

Cody sighed as he slide down another allyway, he ran down it until he came to a dead end he looked back going to say something when an axe slashes his helm straight off his head almost cutting his head off but he managed to slide to the side. So it only cut across his eye luckily it wasn;t damaged so he jumped on top of the building before an arrow hits him in the back.

"What?" Kosha yells while holding her ears. Normally her hearing wasn't that much better than humans, but now she felt like they had ruptured and no sound whatsoever could reach her. She saw Ace's mouth move and Cody open his in response, but she couldn't make out what words were being said.

Movement caught her eye and she turned just in time to see a line of arrows flying in their direction. With movements that made her sword glisten like a comet in the night sky, she deflected the arrows. Swift and sure, the arrows fell at her feet as she finished the motion and flicked the blade back into its sheath like she'd done a million times before.

"Dear Goddess protect us," Kosha prayed allowed as she leaned against the wall hidden in shadow. Looking at the boys with her she sighed.

"Hang on there," she says as she grabs ahold of Cody's arrow. With a quick tug the shaft pulled free. As she looked at the arrow a frown furrowed her brow.

"Damn. The tips broken off in your back. We have to get it out before you get an infection."

"Alright. Try not to move too much. I'll work as quick as I can," she answered as she took the knife. Pulling out a black stone she ran the knife along its surface a few times, watching the sparks flick onto the dirt. Satisfied that the blade was now sterile, she bent over Cody's back and widened the hole in his shirt to better expose the wound.

With a steady hand, she presses the tip into the wound and makes a small incision. Then she works the blade deeper, fishing for the lead tip. Once she feels it, she pulls out the knife and digs her fingers in. Her fingers were long and slender and the arrowhead was fished out a momment later, blood dripping from it.

"Got it."
