James sighed at the behavior of the group. Drawling attention to himself was not what he needed in his life. He sighed as he followed Daniel to the Arcade, hoping to get it over with quickly. Slowly, he finished his smothie, tossing it into a nearby garbage can.

I followed in suit, "Okay, so will you give me a lap dance free of charge??" I asked, shaking my smoothie cup to break up some of the frozen bits.

Daniel fed a few dollars to the token machine and scooped up his game tokens. Now, what did he want to play first? He grinned as he looked over the old game machines, relics of years gone by.

Daniel shrugs as he chooses a machine to play at. "I don't see why that would bother me any. Heck, I've kissed plenty of girls I have no idea where they've been. Some faked, but a good number of them real. Keeps people interested in the play if they don't have something to nitpick about looking fake, so I like to keep them real. And you've been with, what, the one love of your life guy? Yeah, remind me to introduce you to Tiffany Perkins. She played opposite me in the 'Winter Holiday' play. She also spreads 'em like butter for a new 'love of her life' about once a week." Daniel chattered on despite already being in his game. He didn't really notice the serious tone of Angie's voice; to him it was all just a bit of fun.

Mel could feel heat rising to her neck and up to her cheeks as she listened to the conversation that Daniel and Angie were having. She tried hard not to blush, however she failed and so her cheeks were pink with embarrassment and confusion. Are they talking about this on purpose?! she wondered, knowing the rumors about her and such that go around school. She finished off her boba and bought some tokens. She wanted to escaped from the conversation, but still be close enough where she would be able to sort of hear it. There was a joystick streetfighter machine close by. "Hey James, want to play Street Fighter with me? I bet I can kick your butt." she said teasingly. And out of habit she offered one more thing, with a smile. "I'll pay your credits."

Daniel shrugged and didn't reply. It seemed to him Angie was going to be pissed off no matter what he said, so why even bother? Just because Virtua Fighter didn't require his full attention didn't really mean he had to waste it on arguing over something stupid like lap dances or Tiffany Perkins. There were more important thing to think about. Like kicking his computer opponent's butt for knocking off Pai's hat. "Ah, damnit to hell, my hat! You're gonna get it now!"

James' strange red eyes flickered dangerously as he looked over his shoulder to Mel. His hands clenched into fists at the hint that someone would pay for him, especially the girl. He took a deep breath however, once his logic kicked in. Now was not the time to set a spark off. Putting on a smile, he turned towards Mel, and shrugged. He had never been very good at Street Fighter, but what the hell, it couldn't hurt to at least try.
