Ral grinned as he clenched his fist tightly and lifted up to about the same level as his head. "Yosh! I'm getting stronger."Helmeppo rose to his feet, wiping the blood that had spilled from the edge of his mouth with the back of his hand. Helmeppo was not ready to give the rookie his approval just yet. "Don't get cocky newbie, I've still one final lesson to teach you. Survive my training and then you can celebrate." Helmeppo walked over to where his cutlass had fallen onto the floor. He picked it up and held it at his side after quickly examining the blade to see if his weapon had taken any damage.

Y-Yes senpai." Ral seemed to retreat, listening to what Helmeppo had said realizing that he was right. "I'm sorry, I won't lose my focus again." The flustered Ral regained his composure and now stood up straight, giving his full attention to Helmeppo. "Good. Then let me tell you about the next technique that I shall teach you. It is called Navy Strength. It's a technique in which the user will utilize the same focus and concentration used for Higher Senses in order to greatly increases their strength, drawing from inner will and the senses." After finishing his sentence, Helmeppo turned towards a nearby navy recruit who brought to him a pair of scimitars, which he took after giving him the cutlass he had previously used. With both scimitars at hand. Helmeppo turned once again towards Ral. "You're to land one more hit on me, but this time I won't be going so easy on you. These scimitars I now hold are the swords which I primarily use, so you'd better not hold anything back either."

Ral nodded, spreading his feet out while raising his fists up into a fighting stance. "Alright then, here we go." No sooner had he said this, Helmeppo would start to rush forward towards him with his scimitars out at his sides. As he was just in front of Ral, he lifted his swords up into a "x" like cutting motion at Ral's abdominal area. Ral would just barely dodge this attack, somersaulting backwards to avoid his attack. Helmeppo did not let up in his attack, and continued to try to cut Ral as he did so. Dodging one last cut, Ral ducked down low and placed one of his hands onto the ground as he then used it to move his body and send his leg into a sweeping motion to try to trip Helmeppo off his feet. This however would prove useless, Helmeppo jumped forward, moving closer towards Ral before striking him from below his chin. The blow sent Ral rolling backwards a long distance away from Helmeppo, who lifted his scimitars preparing to strike again. Ral slowly got up onto his feet, now breathing heavily as he raised his fists. "Guess it's not that I shouldn't hold back, it's that I can't."

"Don't underestimate the power of your superior! If you want, you can just give up no-" Before he could finish his sentence Ral, who had already begun to come towards Helmeppo, was just in front of him with the hand of his right arm cocked back into a fist. Ral sent his fist forward towards the face of Helmeppo, who quickly jumped backwards to dodge Ral's punch. Ral wound continue to run forwards towards him, but would not get to him before his feet touched the ground only to jump once more, this side landing on Ral's back and kicking him forward as he jumped off. Upon doing so, he would seemingly vanish as Ral was just able to regain his balance and stop himself from falling. He looked around, not seeing Helmeppo anywhere but turned his head when he heard his voice. "It's not polite to interrupt someone when they are in the middle of talking you know! Guess I'll have to beat some manners into you." Suddenly in an instant, Ral felt a nick on his shoulder, which had been the result Helmeppo cutting him while moving at great speed. Immediately, Ral closed his eyes and began to focus and heighten his other senses. His sight had failed him, so he had no choice bu to rely upon his other senses. While doing so, Ral was cut 4 more times, but kept in deep focus. He would finally open his eyes, hearing Helmeppo coming at him from behind. "There! As Helmeppo would try to swing his blade downwards upon Ral, he would rotate his left along the floor to pivot and rotate his body out of the path of the attack. As Helmeppo's feet had touched the ground, Ral would continue his rotation with his right hand cocked back into a fist. He then sent his fist forward into the side of Helmeppo's face, exerting all of the power he had transferred from his feet to his fist to increase the power of his blow and send Helmeppo into a side wall. "Guess you underestimated ME senpai."

Taro walked down to the training grounds rubbing the back of his head and took a deep breath. "Ahh~ The Davy Back Fight thing starts today. I really dont wana fight but if I win, I get a free vacation. Guess I should do some quick training." He said streching out a bit and took a stance. "My Hie Hie powers could use some brushing up on. Maybe a way to increase the power a bit..." Taro yawned and held his hand out chilling it over and looked at it wondering what a new move should be.

Gear Second: Arctic Sentry

"Ah, Im too tired to think of anything complex..." He yawned again and slowly froze his body over. "Maybe an Ice nap." He encased his entire body in ice becoming an actual ice man and started to walk around. "Eh, all being made of ice makes it hard to move around." He walked over to a tree and touched it freezing the area he touched instantly and then moved his hand away looking at what his touch did to the tree. "I may be onto something here with this ice body."

Gear Second: Arctic Sentry
2/6

Wanting to see how having his entire body made of ice would work, he figured that he would try out his Hie Hie no Mi moves to see how they would work now. "Lets try...Icicle Breath." He took a deep breath and blew out onto the tree. In almost an instant, the entire midsection of the tree was covered in ice and frozen through compleetely and soon it shattered under it's own weight collapsing onto the ground like someone just chopped it down. "Huh. That's different."

Gear Second: Arctic Sentry

He then walked over to a clearing in the training grounds and picked up a small stick holding it in his cold hands watching it frost over almost instantly. "Now...Frost Weaponry." He focused the cold in his hand to make a ice sword out of the twig and ended up making a six foot blade of ice that he had to lean on his shoulder just to support itand smiled slightly at teh result of his little effort. "Yup. This ice body thing is definately a good thing. But before that, time for a real test."

Gear Second: Arctic Sentry
4/6

He turned around and walked over to the main Marine HQ building stopping infront of the main entrance and looking up at the massive building for a moment just standing there then nodded to himself. "Yup. More area than my Ice Age can cover at once." He turned to the side and walked around the building to the side and looked down at his hand clutching it once watching some shards of ice crumble off form his movement and then placed his hand on the building focusing his powers.

Gear Second: Arctic Sentry

After afew seconds of focusing his ice powers into one spot, he opened his eyes and released his power all at once. "Ice Age." A thick layer of ice suddenly covered the entire building and some of the ground around the building and Taro pulled his hand off the building smiling and turning his body back to normal. "Heh, cool. This power boost will come in handy but what will I call it?" He walked around back to the training grounds and shrugged. "Whatever. Arctic Sentry sounds fine."

Taro then stood there trying to think of any last second techniques that might help in a battle but was having no luck so far. "Uh, thinking is not my area when it comes to moves. Arg~." He held his hands on the back of his head and started walking around in a circle in the middle of the training grounds in a frustrated fasion. "Think Taro, Think. I got some good offensive moves so I guess something for blocking would help out but what? Something simple yet effective. Hmm~"

Ice Wall

He walked around for afew more seconds then stopped and snapped his fingers smiling. "Got it." He stood there facing a direction and iced his feet over spreading ice along the ground then slowly grew a block of ice out of the frozen ground that was around six feet tall and was dense so seeing through it was a littel hard. "Good." Taro then held his fist up and wound it back throwing a punch at the ice wall and with a thud, the wall only had a minor crack in it from his hit. "Nice guard. Ice Wall."

"Guess I have time for one more quick move but what?" He said scratching his head slightly thinking hard. "Something with range. Something I can shoot or thro-" He stopped and smiled turning to the side andcupped his hands together like he was holding a ball of some sort then took a breath and blew a frozen wind into his hands while generating snow inbetween them from his palms and quickly made a simple snowball but it was smoking for some reason.

Chill-Ball

Taro looked over to a training dummy and tossed the snowball in his hands once smiling over to it. "catch." He said as he threw the smoking snowball at the dummy and hitting it on its shoulder. The second the ball made contact, the joint of the dummy frosted over and Taro smiled taking a breath. "Ok, I'm all out of ideas now. Guess it's time to join that fight thing and get my vacation time." He turned his hands normal again and walked off to the docks to sail to the Davy Back Tournament.

Cindy's boat slowly drifted into the Marine port, she had recently been told via Den Den Mushi that was receiving a promotion and was to show up immediately. Cindy didn't quite know what to think of this, she had been in the Navy that long and she was already at Vice Admiral ranking. There really couldn't be too much farther she could go here, without angering some of the Marine members that is, a lot of them having been there a lot longer then Cindy.

Catching the Bullet 1/6

Cindy finally hit dock and then hopped off of her boat, tying to the dock as she did so. She was about to go off to the council chamber when she saw her reflection in the water. It made her happy to see herself with her short black hair, and her light smile that was spread across her face. She had a feeling that she knew what promotion she was going to get but if she got it she knew that she would have hell to face as she had been thinking about this for a while.

Catching the Bullet 2/6

Yes, she had been thinking about it for a while the time had just come sooner then Cindy thought it would come. Quickly she began to make way to the council chamber where Fleet Admiral Sengoku himself would be sitting there waiting for her. Cindy was somewhat worried about what he would say when she told him her decision but there really was not much he could do, Cindy had read the rules and regulations to Navy proceeding and promotions amongst all Marines.

Catching the Bullet 3/6

Cindy finally reached the giant double doors that lead to the council chamber. Swallowing what excess spit she had in her mouth rather hard making almost a gulping noise Cindy said aloud “Here goes nothing...”And with that she pushed opened the doors and walked slowly into the dark room. Sitting in front of her were all of the big names in the Navy. Fleet Admiral Sengoku sat in the middle of the two, and on his left and right were Admiral's Kizaru and Aoikiji.

Catching the Bullet 4/6

“Ah, Cindy. Very glad you are able to join us from your very busy life. You have recently been making quite a bit of progress amongst the Marines. Managing to defeat two very powerful pirates and even placing one in Impel Down is no easy task Cindy.” Cindy was now growing somewhat red in the face saying “It wasn't anything, really. Anyone else would have done the same if in my position.” Cindy really was a modest person and didn't like to brag about her accomplishments.

Catching the Bullet 5/6

“It is quite a feat, and for a girl with such young age as well.” Sengoku said with the other two nodding in agreement beside him. Now Cindy was really red in the face and embarrassed. “Feats such as yours should be awarded, and that is why I am promoting you to rank of Fleet Admiral.” Cindy's jaw dropped to the floor almost, that was an incredibly high rank, the highest actually! “B-but, what about those two? Why can't one of them become Fleet Admiral!?”

Sengoku simply chuckled saying “These two coconut heads? They may be powerful but they don't have what it takes to command an entire Navy. Besides, I've offered it to these two on many occasion and they decline every time. They are far too lazy to take on the responsibilities of Fleet Admiral. But you Cindy, you have a level head and are a hard worker. Not only that but you are incredibly powerful and inspire fear into Pirates all over the seas.”

Admiral Deflection 1/8

Cindy sighed lightly thinking about it and then said “Of course I'll take it, it is my duty as a member as this Navy.” Sengoku smiled and then said “Great to hear, you'll start immediately.” Cindy then spoke up saying “Well, I don't know how long I'll be having this position.” Sengoku tilted his head to the side saying aloud “What? What do you mean?” Cindy chuckled lightly and then said “Well, I've been reading up on the Navy and World Government rules and regulations...”

Admiral Deflection 2/8

As Cindy spoke of the World Government Rules and Regulations Sengoku sighed lightly, he could already tell where this was going. It had happened to every other person he had tried to recruit into the Fleet Admiral position had always done this. “ Well, get on with it. What about the rules and regulations?” Cindy sighed lightly and then said “I wish to become an agent to the World Government and join the ranks of Cipher Pol Number Nine with all of there other trained assassins.”

Admiral Deflection 3/8

Sengoku instantly slammed his hands against the table, slightly frightening the other two Admirals and Cindy herself. The room was rather silent afterwards, it was an awkward silence though. Cindy stood there staring into the eyes of the Fleet Admiral himself, one of the most feared men in all of the world, a man who's mere name alone would make a pirate crap himself in fear, one thing you didn't want to do was get on his bad side as that was a bad side to be on.

Admiral Deflection 4/8

“Would you two please leave the room, I wish to talk to Cindy alone.” With that said both Aoikiji and Kizaru nodded their heads and stood up pushing their chairs in. With that they began to leave, the only thing breaking the awkward silence being the steps of their shoes. As soon as they reached the door they opened both of them and then stepped out. With that Fleet Admiral Sengoku simply stared Cindy down and Cindy stared back being afraid of what was going to happen.

Admiral Deflection 5/8

Finally the awkwardness was ended by the strong firm voice of Sengoku. “Why would you want to join them? As a Fleet Admiral you would have control over all of the Navy. The ocean would be your cloister. Do you realize that you would have the ability to obliterate an island? The Buster Call would be your decision. No one would question you and Pirates would tremble at your mere presence. So I ask you again, why do you want to join up with Cipher Pole Number Nine?”

Admiral Deflection 6/8

Cindy sighed lightly as she stared down at the floor saying. “I don't want control, I don't want any of that. I know what they do in Cipher Pole, they do things that aren't considered humanly possible, able to slice winds with nothing but there legs, faster then the eye can follow, able to jump on air, and the ability to create bullet wounds with your fingers! I don't want Military Might on my side, I want to be able to fight my own fights, I would be a one man army...”

Admiral Deflection 7/8

Sengoku simply sighed, it was obvious to him that Cindy had already made up her mind though Sengoku would try and make this right anyway he could. Sengoku stood up from his seat and then threw his coat to his chair, his goat stood up as it had been sitting directly next to him. Cindy tilted her head to the side, confusion filled the expression on her face as she said “What exactly are you doing Sengoku?” Sengoku didn't say anything as he walked around the counter which all the people had sat before.

Admiral Deflection 8/8
PostPosted: Mon Mar 30, 2009 7:39 pm

Finally Sengoku spoke saying “So, you wish to leave the Navy, after all that we have done for you?” Cindy stayed quiet for a couple minutes but then spoke out saying “It's not like that all sir, I just wish to advance. I don't want to just make a different in the Marines, I want to make a difference to the entire world, if I were to join Cipher Pole Number Nine then I could make a difference to the world. More people then pirates would be my problems, I would handle things in other countries all over!”

Catching the Blade 1/10

Sengoku chuckled and then said “You wish to make a difference to the world? Is that what you really want? Well, if you want to make a difference in the world so bad perhaps you could start by defeating me.” Cindy titled her head to the side saying “What in God's green earth are you talking about?” Sengoku laughed and then said “Defeat me to prove yourself, if you could beat me with no problems then I'm sure you could last as a member of Cipher Pole Number Nine.”

Catching the Blade 2/10

Cindy's lip began quiver slightly as she said “I...I can't fight you. You're the Fleet Admiral, I've known you since I joined the Marines.” Sengoku chuckled a little saying “Well, with that attitude you'll never make it in Cipher Pole Number Nine.” With that said Sengoku removed a pistol from his pocket and threw it to Cindy saying “I've heard your a pretty good shot Cindy, actually one of the best shots. Shoot at me, come one do it, give me a good bullet to the chest, right in the center...”

Catching the Blade 3/10

Cindy fumbled with the pistol a little as she got it. All of her nerves were pretty much shocked at this point. “But...but..” Sengoku narrowed his eyes at Cindy saying “You act as if you've never used a pistol before, now do it...shoot me!” Cindy looked up at him, the pistol now properly in her hand “But...I can charged with insubordination if I shoot you...” Sengoku cut her off yelling out “It will be insubordination if you don't shoot me! This is an order dammit! SHOOT ME!”

Catching the Blade 4/10

Cindy finally snapped under his order and fired off a single bullet aimed for his chest, hoping that it wouldn't kill him and Cindy get sent away to Impel Down herself for killing her commanding officer. Cindy had her eyes closed the entire time so she had no idea what was happening. She didn't hear a thud or hear the bullet pierce through anything so that had to be a good sign right? Cindy was almost too scared to open her eyes for fear she had killed Fleet Admiral Sengoku.

Catching the Blade 5/10

Cindy finally peaked open one of her eyes and what she saw shocked and slightly stunned her. Standing before her was the Fleet Admiral and not a wound in sight. The only thing that was different was clutched in between his two fingers was the bullet which Cindy had fired, still smoking from the force of the tiny explosion that occurs in a gun when it fires off a bullet. Sengoku had a cocky grin spread across his face and the goat that sat in his seat almost seemed to have gained the same cocky grin.

Catching the Blade 6/10

Cindy's mouth was wide open as she then said “How...how did you manage to do that? That's impossible!” Sengoku simply chuckled and said “Nothing is impossible when you get the kind of experience I have. I have caught much faster things then bullets, I have seen things that you wouldn't even be able to imagine in your wildest dreams! As Fleet Admiral I answer to no one but the Gorosai, and they never have anything to say to me. Imagine it Cindy, unlimited power, the forces of the most feared force in the world behind you...”

Catching the Blade 7/10

As Cindy listened to Sengoku talk about all of these different aspects of military she felt herself getting angry, she couldn't stand to listen to him talk about how she would be better off here. She knew that the World Government could treat her better but he just wanted her for the Navy's own personal gains, she could flourish into a truly strong warrior there instead of being forced to rot here. She slowly looked up at Sengoku, as she had been looking down at the floor the entire time that he had been talking.

Catching the Blade 8/10

She then opened up her mouth in order to speak to him “Sengoku, you have truly been like a father to me ever since I arrived here. I have learned so much over the short amount of time I have been here, but I have to leave, I must flourish into a warrior capable of doing good to this world, I wish you would just see some reason to this. I hope in sometime you will understand.” Sengoku then turned his back to Cindy, looking as though he was heading back to his seat in which his goat sat waiting for him.

Catching the Blade 9/10

Cindy smiled lightly, it would seem that she had finally best Sengoku in a battle of wits. Although when he was walking away he then said aloud for Cindy to hear. “Ungrateful Wench.” That was truly the straw that broke the camel's back. Cindy wouldn't put up with this bullshit anymore. She lifted up her pistol and aimed it at Sengoku yelling out “Ten Bullet Combo!” and with that fired off ten bullets aimed directly at Fleet Admiral Sengoku's back Marine Symbol that adorned his coat.

Cindy was shocked with her actions, she hadn't meant to do that to the man it's just that it had almost seemed like he was asking for it! Cindy was sure to face a court martial for this and no doubt be sent to Impel Down. Though what happened next shocked her. Sengoku turned around incredibly fast and held out his hand yelling. “Admiral Deflection!” with that he managed to stop all ten bullets from even touching him, I mean, they touched his skin but not enough to hurt him or anything like that.

Fleet Admiral Shield 1/10

Cindy tilted her head to the side, slightly shocked by this. Sengoku looked her in the eyes, a very frustrated expression on his face as he said “What? You really think that ten bullets sent out by the likes of you could really bring me down? Preposterous You wanna fight? Why don't you really try and hit me then you amphibious piece of garbage.” Now Cindy knew she couldn't walk away from this, no matter how important he was to the entire world she would make sure he left from this room slightly crippled.

Fleet Admiral Shield 2/10

Cindy then decided that perhaps he had a fruit, that was the only explanation that she could come up with at this point. Perhaps something that made it so bullets couldn't hurt him and that's why he was able to catch that one, that made sense. So now she would have to hit him on with Sea Stone. Cindy pulled from her side her Fencing Sword which was made out of pure sea stone. It was one of her favorite weapons, even though she didn't fancy herself too much in swordplay she knew how to get the job done.

Fleet Admiral Shield 3/10

Sengoku chuckled upon seeing Cindy remove her sword from it's sheath. “Aw, so it's a sword fight you fancy?” Cindy was getting frustrated, he was clearly trying to get her to fight him, there was no doubt about it at this point. “Go on then, strike me.” Cindy was having second thoughts about all of this, it made no sense to do what he wanted because that was just fueling his intent to hurt Cindy mentally. Sengoku then raised up his eyebrow saying “Well? Aren't you going to hit me?”

Fleet Admiral Shield 4/10

Cindy decided that she wouldn't hit him, that he wasn't worth the time and energy it would take to do it. She was about to speak and talk about what she wasn't going to but as soon as she opened her mouth Sengoku yelled out “PUT UP YOUR SWORD!” Cindy couldn't take this anymore, she had a very explosive temper and wouldn't take this. She brought up her sword and then swung it with all of her might directly at Fleet Admiral Sengoku with the full on intent of killing him.

Fleet Admiral Shield 5/10

Though it surprised her greatly when her attack was suddenly stopped, now she was truly confused. She looked up only to see Sengoku standing there with her blade held securely in his hand, not getting cut up at all by it. “So you're using seastone, hm? Very effective against pirates that use Devil Fruits, unfortunately it makes no difference to those of us who are lacking fruits. Cindy couldn't believe this guy, he was like a monster, a monster without a Devil Fruit.

Fleet Admiral Shield 6/10

Without a Devil Fruit that meant that this was all him, nothing helping him out at all. Cindy gulped lightly as Sengoku said “Face it Cindy, if you can't beat me then what chance do you have at surviving in Cipher Pole Number Nine, those guys are all ten times stronger then me, and all of them are ten times faster then me, and all of them never miss.” Cindy could tell that now he was trying to discourage her but she wouldn't let it happen. This guy was trying to best her but that was impossible.

Fleet Admiral Shield 7/10

Sengoku took the sword which had tightly grasped in his hands and then with all of his might threw it against the wall ripping it from her petite hands. He then yelled out “Come on now, is that really the best you have? In this world it is a dog eat dog world, and if you can't stand up to me you might as well take that pistol of yours, stick it into you mouth and pull the trigger because I can tell you one thing, life isn't worth living if your not living it to it's fullest.”

Fleet Admiral Shield 8/10

Sengoku paused as he spoke and closed his eyes, almost as if he was thinking about what to say next. Cindy tilted her head to the side slightly as then Sengoku's eyes burst open causing Cindy to fall to the ground as he had startled her. He then spoke in a very loud booming voice that practically demanded respect from all those around him. “So if you can't beat my then I suppose your not strong enough to live life properly, to live a successful strong willed life where people respect you.”

Fleet Admiral Shield 9/10

Cindy was now beyond pissed, she wasn't going to take this for one more second. She hopped to her feet and then said “You know what Sengoku, I'm going onto Cipher Pole Number Nine, and I am going to be the best damn agent they had ever seen and there is nothing you can do to stop me. You know why? For the time being I am the Fleet Admiral and I outrank you, I don't have to take this sort of lip, so you know what? You can go to hell and you can tell all the pirates you sent there hello!”

Fleet Admiral Shield 10/10
PostPosted: Mon Mar 30, 2009 7:41 pm

With that said Cindy brought back her fist and put Giant's strength into it. She then yelled out “One Hundred Brick Fist!” and with that sent out an incredibly powerful punch directly at the Fleet Admiral Sengoku. He laughed a little and then said “Fleet Admiral Shield.” With that said Cindy's fist hit him but the pain that she received from the punch was incredible, it actually caused her arm to be on the brink of snapping, at least that's what the pain felt like to Cindy.

Distraction 1/12

“Ow, ow, ow! s**t, s**t, s**t!” She yelled as she held her hand solidly. She had punched solid objects before but that didn't feel like a solid object at all. It felt like she being met dead on with her own attack. She looked up at Sengoku and then uttered out “What did you do?” She looked at her hand closely, thinking that it was broken or something. Sengoku laughed lightly at her pain, it amused him to an extent to knock down someone as naive as Cindy a few pegs down the totem pole.

Distraction 2/12

“It's called Fleet Admiral Shield, a move passed down from Fleet Admiral to Fleet Admiral and I just passed the knowledge onto you. Be sure to use it well as it is a powerful move.” Cindy was confused, it would see that his entire tone had changed. She didn't understand, it was almost as If she couldn't wrap her head around it. She looked around and saw that everything around her was still the same, nothing had changed there was no apolitical fires, so why was it that he all of a sudden sounded so nice?

Distraction 3/12

Fleet Admiral Sengoku chucked at her worried looking expression saying “Nothing to worry about my dear, you see this had all been a rouse. I hope you take no offense to it, I am a rather good actor.” With that said the Goat behind him began laughing hysterically and Sengoku turned around yelling “Shut up!” Cindy smiled lightly and then said “Well then, I guess I understand now, but why the whole acting thing? It really makes no sense to me like in the slightest but of the word.”

Distraction 4/12

Sengoku smiled and then said “Well, I was looking for a replacement as Fleet Admiral and I will admit I am a bit disappointed by your immediate transfer to Cipher Pole Number Nine to the World government but honestly wasn't that surprised. To every Navy person who reaches the point where they are good enough to join CP9 I congratulate. I had to make sure you had what it takes, and it takes real courage to strike at an Admiral with live ammunition loaded into a gun.”

Distraction 5/12

“Oh, and you really surprised when you actually tried to cut my head off.” Cindy scratched the back of her head chuckling lightly. Sengoku then looked to her and said “Transfer Granted, you are now going to be joining the ranks of Cipher Pole Number Nine, you will be transferring as soon as humanly possible. We will miss you, you were an asset to the Navy and I'm sure you will be just as good of an asset to the World Government, perhaps we can meet again soon.”

Distraction 6/12

Sengoku then held out his hand and in response Cindy held out her and grasped onto his shaking it up and down. A sign of good nature. Cindy then turned to the double doors and looked back at Sengoku who gave her a warm smile in return. She nodded her head and then pushed open the door, allowing the rich smell of the Sea wash into the room. It sure did feel refreshing after being couped up with Sengoku in that large room for such a long period of time.

Distraction 7/12

Cindy walked onto the training grounds and began to feel whoozy, almost like her head was clogged up. She slowly stumbled across the field but once she reached a safe point where no one was fighting she fell to her bottom. She wished that she knew how to fix this but there was no way that she could think of to do such a thing. Cindy searched through her pockets looking for some food or something. Usually when she had a head ache or felt like this a little bit of food helped her out a lot.

Distraction 8/12

Though soon she felt and saw a shadow overcast her. It was a shadow belonging to a man whom she knew, he was a Vice-Admiral much like herself. She couldn't remember his name at the moment though as it was very odd an complicated. He smiled down at her behind his mustache and then said “What seems to be the problem missy?” Cindy chuckled lightly and said “Nothing, it just feels like my head is all stuffed up, I'm having trouble thinking about things I guess would be the proper way to put it.”

Distraction 9/12

The man chuckled slightly and then said “I know just the thing for that.” Cindy looked up at him saying “You do? What is it? Like a medicine, or food?” Cindy said sounding rather hopeful at the food part. The man burst into jolly laughter and then said “No, no, nothing like that. I'll do it for you, though I must warn you that it does hurt quite a bit, are you willing to deal with the pain as I dish it?” Cindy nodded her head lightly, she had dealt with a lot of things and this can't be that bad.

Distraction 10/12

Though no sooner had she nodded her head she all of a sudden felt a sharp pain in her shoulder, it was incredible how bad it hurt. To her it felt almost like getting...stabbed. Cindy looked over and then saw that in her arm lodged rather deep was a standard issue Marine Combat knife. Cindy was practically unable to speak at this sight...she was absolutely appalled! She looked at him and then yelled “Where do you get off! I can barely move my arm now because of this surging pain.”

Distraction 11/12

The man simply chuckled at her and said “Your arm may hurt, but come now, tell me how your head feels?” Cindy was about to yell again but then realized something. Her head was completely clear, nothing blocking it whatsoever. It would seem that the pain in her arm had caused her to not be blocked up. Cindy slowly removed the knife from her arm grimacing a bit. She handed it back to him and then said “Thank you so much, I'll remember that.” and with that she headed towards the dock.

A guy would walk through the door of the training grounds. Daichi was smiling because today was his first day in the real navy. Hopefully, he could meet some new people and begin to find some more information. Many soldiers were training here. Some were practicing their sharpshooting while others were dueling with their blades. A small flicker appeared in the corner of his eyes and he turned to see a new face enter the training grounds. This guy was wearing thick glasses on his forehead along with a yellow bandana. A small scar was visible on his lower jaw. Daichi slowly began following him.

Navy Will 1/4

Daichi began rolling through his list of personalities to use and finally picked one. It was never nice to lie but it helped in these kinds of situations. Daichi picked the new recruit full of hope and cheer. He tapped the Master Chief Petty Officer on the shoulder and put on a big smile. Koby, who was obvious from the beginning, turned and smiled back. "Is there something you need help with?" "Uh, hi! I'm new here and was just hoping that someone could show me around." Daichi got the reaction he desired as Koby smiled back and grabbed his arm, pulling him towards a treadmill area. "I remember my first day here..."

Navy Will 2/4

"Oh the good old days. Running from Garp, stealing bread, punching pirates while they're down. That's the life." Daichi let Koby relive his memories, not wanting to anger his potential teacher. Koby snapped back to reality and smiled at Daichi. "You know what? I didn't have a teacher when I came here. I don't want you to go through that as well. I'm going to train you!" Daichi's face lighted up and he shook Koby's hand frantically. "Thank you sir! I don't know what I can do to repay you." "How about you let go of my hand?" Daichi felt his cheeks go red as he let go of his hand. Koby let out a loud laugh, causing several people to turn to them with strange looks on their face.

Navy Will 3/4

"All right. To begin your training, I will teach you how to activate the Navy Will. The Navy Will is a sort of adrenaline boost to your body, giving you more energy for techniques. You activate it like this." Koby scrunched his face until it was red with effort. Daichi stared back with moderate disgust and curiousity. "Do you need some toilet paper or something?" "No! This is how you activate the Navy Will!" Daichi shrugged and scrunched up his face like Koby's. Koby cheered and pointed decisively at Daichi. "Exactly! That is perfect! You are a natural at this." Daichi rubbed the back of his head slowly. He was worried about what else Koby would try to teach him.

Koby began yanking out boards and bricks from one of the corners of the training grounds. He stacked up eight bricks into two pillars and placed the board on top of them. Daichi looked curiously at the makeshift table when Koby began explaining. "Since you now know the Navy Will, I can teach you how to injure someone. The Discipline Punch has enough power to knock someone unconscious or even break stones." Koby made the squinty face again and punched the nearby wall, the fist going straight through the first layer. He pulled back the fist, which left an fist shaped indention in the wall. Daichi was happy to be learning something useful now.

Now Daichi knew what the bricks and board were for. Koby pointed to the table with vigor. "Now you need to break that board using the Discipline Punch! Make sure you use the Navy Will first!" Daichi smiled, this attack was going to be easy. He pulled back his hand and balled it into a fist when a screeching sound similar to wheels skidding stopped him. Koby started waving his hands wildly and squinting rapidly. Daichi simply stared at him, slightly creeped out and finally realized what he meant. Daichi focused his mind and attempted to bring forth the Navy Will, giving him a surge of energy.

Discipline Punch 2/5

Feeling the adrenaline, Daichi raised his fist and brought it down against the wooden board. The board cracked upon impact, sending splinters to either side. Daichi's fist went straight through, stopping shortly after. He raised his hand and began screaming wildly. "AHHHH! Splinters! Get em out, Get em out, Get em out!!!" Koby laughed heartily as Daichi pulled out splinters from his hand. "You join the Navy and you get upset over a bunch of splinters? Well, you need to bulk up... What is your name anyway?" Daichi slouched confusingly, stupified that he never formally introduced himself. "Well, I'm Daichi Zaraki, naval archaeologist." Koby raised his eyebrows in surprise. "Well, we don't get too many archaeologists around here."

Discipline Punch 3/5

"All right then. In order to completely master the Discipline Punch, you need to break something a little harder than wood. Like a brick." The master chief petty officer pushed together the two brick columns until they were right next to each other. "Hold on. How do I know this technique is strong enough to break bricks?" Koby yanked his fist up and punched the bricks, breaking the two on top. "Don't worry. I left some for you." Daichi frowned, upset that he was outsmarted by Koby. He pulled his fingers together into a fist, not thinking about what would happen if it didn't work.

Discipline Punch 4/5

Daichi raised his fist and brought it crashing down, smashing through the three layers of bricks. Koby's eyes widened in surprise as the fist crashed into the ground, sending out small cracks. "Wow. I could only break one layer of bricks when I started." "Does that mean that I'm stronger than you? Am I the new Master Chief Petty Officer!?" "Uh, no. You still haven't passed your final test. Now follow me." Koby began moving to a new training area while Daichi followed close behind. Evidently, there was more to Koby then meets the eye. The Navy Will was ridiculous of course but the Discipline Punch was still useful. Maybe there was another good move in Koby.

The duo continued walking until they reached a treadmill like device. It was a conveyer belt with wires attached to a panel with several buttons and dials. Two rails were along the conveyer belt, meant to be hand rails. Koby moved over to the panel and Daichi took the hint to climb onto the conveyer belt. "My final technique is known as the Quick Pace. Using the Navy Will, you can dramatically increase your speed so you can complete certain tasks." "Why to complete certain tasks? Shouldn't it just be a speed boost?" "Well, you need to focus your mind on an objective. If you just say I want to go faster, you have no ambition. You need focus!" Daichi frowned in disgust at this technique.

Quick Pace 1/5

"In order for you to master this technique, I will use this. It is a high tech treadmill that I control the speed of. I will gradually increase the speed of it and eventually you will have to use Quick Pace to keep up." Daichi nodded. This task seemed simple enough but he frowned when Koby smiled back. "Oh, I forgot to mention the twist. If you decided to just stop and fall off the track, you will fall on these nails!" Koby threw out about twenty nails at the back of the conveyer belt as Daichi watched in amazement. "Wow, no pressure huh?" Daichi slowly began walking on the conveyer belt as it began at a leisurely walking pace.

Quick Pace 2/5

Daichi continued walking and felt no real energy being expended from this. It was very simple and could be done without much energy. Koby rotated a dial on the stand and the speed increased slightly. Daichi sped up his walk into a slow jog as a small amount of sweat began to gather on his forehead. "Getting tired yet? Well, I hope not!" Koby spun the dial yet again and the conveyer belt began spinning rapidly. Daichi now had to run to keep up just to stay on. He remembered the nails waiting for him at the end and poured more energy into his run. He was slowly moving towards the back of the conveyer belt.

Quick Pace 3/5

Daichi became more frantic and started to run in desperation. "Use the Navy Will! Squint! Squint!" Koby made the face and Daichi began running even faster. He didn't want to have to use the Navy Will; it looked too ridiculous to be of any use. "Come on! You will fall onto the nails unless you use the Navy Will to activate Quick Pace. Do it!" Sighing, Daichi concentrated and used the Navy Will, releasing a wave of energy through his body. He attempted to send the energy to his legs but he couldn't tell if there was any difference when suddenly his legs pushed forward, sending him flying forward.

Quick Pace 4/5

The extra boost of energy not only sent him higher up the conveyer belt but off the belt entirely. He couldn't truly stop right now, so he continued running in circles. Finally, he ran out of energy and stopped on the ground. "So, is it truly useful? Of course, it is! I came up with it!" Daichi admitted this technique was kind of useful and waited for his next assignment. "Well, I'm out of techniques, so I should introduce you to my friend Helmeppo. He should be able to teach you some useful moves." He didn't really trust Koby's sense of usefulness but he didn't really have a choice. He got up and followed Koby across the training grounds.
