And that meant being careful, cautious, and intelligent about doing things. He couldn't merely assume that because he was now in possession of one of the strongest Cursed Fruits that he was inherently invincible. You just couldn't be too careful when it came to things like this; you had to hope for the best and plan for the worst. If you did that, then any surprises would be pleasant ones. It was always nice to have a pleasant surprise, especially in a world this nuts.

Especially when the surprise was in the form of money, power, influence, or land. Or whatever other more minor things somebody might enjoy having. To obtain enough power to surpass them all, perhaps even an undefeatable power... that was the proper idea. But what could he do from this point onwards that would allow him to grow even stronger? Well, to start with, he'd definitely have to develop some new powers to put to good use whenever he needed.

Darkness and gravity... some interesting powers indeed, and with a moderate place in history. Rednal intended to enhance that reputation. After all, a reputation was a relatively good defense; if you had taken out some other people that were acknowledged as strong, then the weak wouldn't bother you. It would only be the strong you would have to deal with every now and then. Great fun, that. Though, he had to admit, it was time to put his energy to good use.

It wouldn't be so foolish to really work on expanding his abilities. If he could figure out every strength and every weakness his Fruit had, he could use his Strengths to maximum effect and minimize his Weaknesses in order to protect himself. There was nothing bad at all about that plan, except for the possible danger of overexerting himself and thinking that he knew everything. Always assume your opponents were dangerous and knew how to hurt you.

It was probably better to start with covering your weaknesses, and move from there to expanding your offensive abilities. Otherwise, you might be powerful, but your opponents might well exploit what weaknesses you had. A lot of powerful people tended to die or get beaten into submission that way. If your opponent had to be close to hurt you, then attack them from a distance. If they were far off to attack, move in close. Basic strategy, really.

It was always better to fight your enemies on your own terms. Your terrain, your timing. Everything necessary in order to win should be on your side already, variables taken into account. Not specific ones, because you'd always miss something, but general plans that could be altered. Rednal gestured, and the black hole he'd conjured sent everything inside of it flying out the other way, heavily damaged. Yeah, that was a proper sort of power.

Well, now he had some good idea of what he wanted to do, so with a slight shrug Rednal began focusing his energies. Black auras surrounded his hands again, and with a thought, this spread out and sunk into his entire body. What he needed wasn't just a disruption power, but something strong enough that it would always be active, always able to protect him from Cursed Fruits. Sounded like a lot of fun... but he'd have to physically alter his body first.

Rednal continued to focus, sending the power of the Yami Yami no Mi into his entire body to give it the ability to disrupt other curses. This, he knew, was one of the things that would make him the most deadly. He intended to be able to stride straight through a Logia-user's blast, or a Paramecia's assault, or a Zoan slash. Any Cursed Power, be it element, claw, body part... whatever. It would all fail when it came into contact with him. Every single one.

This could be extraordinarily bad for anyone who was in multiple body parts, since the power keeping them alive would abruptly fail. On a Logia or Zoan user, they'd probably just reform, but if somebody had detached their arm or something... that could be dangerous. Not that many Cursed Fruits had that kind of effect, of course. It wasn't like his touch was lethal to Cursed Fruit users, it just robbed them of their power, which made him rather safe.

He intended to be very safe indeed by the time he was done with everything. Why bother with staying defenseless? Much better to train your mind and body and work around your weaknesses, just to be able to fight as you wished. Rednal intended to be unstoppable, especially against the most powerful pirates. He was already a good chunk of the way there, but he needed more power, more energy, to truly be recognized as the best. And he would be.

None of his enemies would be able to defeat him. Not... that he had enemies, exactly, but he probably would in the future, and it was that he was preparing for. Dark energy continued to seep into his body, raising his resistance to the power of the Cursed Fruits other than his own. He was getting there, but he still needed to feed it more power. Fortunately, Cursed Fruits didn't exactly run out of power. At least, he'd never heard of it happening.

It seemed that more often than not, somebody with a Cursed Fruit had nigh-limitless use of their ability. Of those few with a time limit (something about slowing down something for awhile, he'd heard, or changing appearances), there didn't seem to be anything stopping them from just using it again. And those were probably among the most restricted powers. No, the strength of the curses seemed to be able to match up to anything necessary.

Rednal exhaled slowly as the power finished seeping into his body. He flexed his muscles, and nodded in satisfaction as he determined that they would, in fact, serve him just as well as before. Well, now he was something like two tiers of power stronger, or so he hoped. However, he still needed to work on other powers and abilities, to make himself even more dangerous than before. Simply being able to take a hit wouldn't let you win a fight. Stretching, he headed towards the Jungle.

After leaving the port, Kale headed for Carmine town, might as well get some work down while she was in the area, before she sailed towards the North Blue to seek out the one they called Shanks. Now she was seeking out two fighters, one she knew was a large man, named Jesus Burgess. His name made Kale laugh a bit. Not too long after entering Carmine town, had she found this guy; and now he was training her. Teaching her 'Sunlight Punch'; Though, to her it seemed like a normal punch; the only difference it seemed was that this punch was much faster than a normal one. It also had something of an uppercut to it. He had show it to her and she was preparing to try it out. She took stance, another awkward stance, almost as though she was bending over.

"Haaaa" She yelled like the man showing her the move had and punched upwards, it was fast and it almost threw her off balance but she managed to keep it. "Well that was, pretty good." He said simply waving his hand and laughing slightly at Kale. Kale, who didn't like to be laughed at too much rolled her eyes and clenched her fists. It was lucky for this guy that she didn't tend to get violent with her teachers, otherwise he would have too black eyes; and they wouldn't have been caused by a stupid 'sunlight punch'. Kale looked to him, "What's next?" She ground out unhappily.
