Radé froze after Madlax spoke. "M-my brother?"
She was more stunned than or anything else; those were words she hadn't hoped to hear in years. Her brother.
It was probably a trap.
By the time that thought crossed her mind, she had already taken that attack to her back. Without any form of defence against it, she crumpled to the ground. She felt the gash and the blood that had to be pouring from the wound. Struggling slightly, she rolled over and stared at Madlax through eyes that were losing focus quickly.
"How...do you know...about him?"
The blast that Madlax sent at Tripp was also unexpected. He thought he had gotten far enough away that he wasn't visible, but apparently that wasn't the case. He was flung forward, past the two that had been talking, and into a (convenient) pile of broken bottles, windows and other unfriendly and sharp objects.
He slowly pulled himself to his feet and turned, oblivious to the pain he should have been feeling from the shards of glass sticking from various parts of his torso and arms. He pulled a few of the larger ones free and watched as blood poured from the deep, ragged wounds.
A few of the gouges had revealed the metal and synthetic muscles that glided under his skin just like the real deal, though they remained undamaged. He just stood there for a while, watching himself bleed while he was mentally fighting with his systems over a reaction. All the machines were fine, he knew that, and his meat body could be repaired... Which meant that the attacker would be punished.
He turned to where Madlax was and started. Radé was on the ground, bleeding profusely. His partner was injured. He had just gotten her back...
"Around the corner. Alice. Get her. She's hurt." He didn't look at the pair he had been threatening moments earlier and as soon as he was finished talking, he took off at a sprint towards Madlax. Blood was still oozing from his wounds and leaving a trail behind him as he ran. If he kept this up, he would bleed to death in no time at all. Not that it mattered. Radé was in danger and that was what mattered.
He got behind Madlax in record time and drew himself up so he could smash his razored hand into her back with all the power of his augmentations. "Die." He hissed, bringing his hand down.

The blast surrounded Grave and Jek; both coughing at the dust that sprang into the air as a result. Grave slammed his hand onto his SG in a slapping motion, sending the dust a debris flying. When the dust cleared Jek saw Radé standing, looking stunned. She said something he couldn't hear. Then suddenly he saw Madlax moving past Radé, Radé collapsed on the ground, blood pouring out. "Radé!" Jek sprinted through a void, one opening up underneath her and laying her near Grave. He sprinted in and out of voids, all of them opening at different spots in the air to avoid being blasted by Madlax. He opened a void directly in front of her, his fist hurtling towards her face, blazing with a black fire.
Grave watched Jek go after Madlax. What's gotten into him all of a sudden, he barely knows that girl... He looked down at his feet. "Well you don't seem to be doing so hot huh?" He lifted Radé over his back, laying her across his bike. He opened up the back grabbing a med pack from it and attended to Radé's wound. "That should hold it until we get you to a proper doctor." He turned his attention to what Tripp had seemed to go after. He could make out a woman and a man. He spoke quietly, moving the sound waves past the battle and to the hiding duo, "Hey, you two, over here, I'm the guy by the bike." He pointed to them. "You've got three options. One, come down here and help, if you're not institute. Two, run away because you're institute, resistance fools, or just plain idiots. Finally, three, don't choose option one or two and have me come up there. I suggest one or two, because I'll be pissed if I have to go meet new people." He glared waiting for a response. I hate sideliners; especially ones that made me go after them and leave my bike.

Amalia had erected a telekinetic shield when the explosives came at the twins. It took a lot of energy, but she managed to hold it up. Do you want to go down Antonio? We're not with the Institute, and we aren't fools, so I'm up for it. I'm up for it. Antonio stood up, picked up Alice as Tripp had asked, and went over to where Grave was. I'm Antonio. This is my twin, Amalia. We're not from the Institute, but since you don't seem stupid, you probably won't believe us. As Antonio spoke to Grave, Amalia glanced over Alice and Rade's wounds. They were both in bad condition, and needed to see a doctor immediately. There's a rebel outpost about a quarter-mile from here. I'd suggest that you'd get these two over there as quickly as possible.

Radé pulled herself up painfully from Grave's bike, starting forward and only getting a few steps before collapsing again. She looked over at Tripp and Jek, raising her voice so that at least one of them would be sure to hear her, "Don't kill her. She knows my brother... Leave her here, we can find her later..."
That small effort was too much and she slumped over, unconscious.
Tripp heard Radé's words as he was drawing up for another attack that would be in synch with Jek's incoming fist. Fortunately for Madlax, Tripp was fast enough to stop himself and knock away Jek's fist with a swift upward motion of his own. The black fire singed his arm, but the attack was deflected...
"You heard her..." Tripp growled at Jek, staring him down for a moment before turning back to Madlax's prone form. His eyes glinted with intense malice and he stomped down on her left knee; his expression becoming a horrifying mask of mixed pleasure, anger and hatred as the bones snapped audibly. "Stay down."
With Madlax taken care of, Tripp rushed back over to Radé and Alice. He had forgotten that he was bleeding profusely and was missing enough flesh in spots that bloody metal shone through what little meat was left in his body. It wouldn't have mattered even if he did. The ghoul got to Radé first and crouched over her, unused to seeing her bleed, he just stared kind of helplessly. Carefully picking her up, he put her back on Grave's bike before his eyes darted to Alice.
She had been collected by the hidden pair, but that didn't let Tripp rest any easier... If this was a trap they had Alice... He knew the guitar-guy wasn't Institute, so at the very least they wouldn't get Radé again. And he wouldn't let Alice go back, even though his capture was probably the most dangerous of the group's. He shook his head to try and clear it of all the unnecessary suspicion. "Doctor. Now."
Tripp finally fell back into silence, intense stares replacing the cold words that he had spoken. It was possible that the people around him didn't know how impressive it was that he had spoken at all, let alone so much without having issues.
((Whoo. Kinda long. Sorry.
Hope you don't mind that I just smashed your knee there, Muffin... Once all the others clear out I'll have Gha'aru come and find you so you don't die~))

The room had the sharp smell of alcohol and from the bright white walls and outfits Lance knew he was still in the hospital. The strange world he had been visiting early had dissipated to the back of his mind and he was no longer affected by the darkness. Whether he was uncurious or dreaming, he was safe from the insanity of his mind. His head was still a bit foggy but the nurse had explained that it was due to all of the drugs that were in his system. He had been told he was lucky to be alive, and he agreed. He still remembered every little detail of what had happened from the fight. The need to seek revenge pulsed within his veins over and over again and he would have given up his life to go and end the lives of those who had did this to him. They hadn't let him see his face yet, and when a nurse came in to check his current condition he grabbed her arm in a tight grip.
"Bring me that mirror," He nodded over to a wall that had a huge window sized mirror hanging on it. His demanding voice made the young woman shiver and Lance felt complete happiness knowing he still had the power of fear over others. She nodded and moved quickly over to the wall, taking the large mirror down. It was clearly heavy; the woman strained to bring the mirror over to Lance. Once she was by the bed, she set it down by the bed so that Lance could look over at it from where he was. The image threw him back and he lost his breath as if he had been punched in the stomach.
The picture in the mirror was gruesome. His face had scars and stitches covering it, and the skin in certain areas wasn't even shaded the same anymore. It was a purplish, greenish color. It seemed every part had been stitched back on, his nose was the only thing that looked natural anymore and even that had a huge amount of stitches holding it onto his face. He looked like some kind of creature that had been formed together by some mad scientist. And his eye, his left eye was white and he couldn't see out of the damned thing. The image was terrible. It made him smile.
"Thank you." He said, and he meant it. He knew the stitches would dissolve and the color would be back to normal within a few weeks. Still, seeing how horrifying he looked brought him great Joy. He almost wanted to ask if they could leave him in the condition and allow him to always look like a monster. He was about to tell the nurse she could put the mirror back when he heard someone enter the room. Susan smiled, the look on her face wasn't one of terror, it was one of complete happiness. He smiled back at her. The doctor had said in a few days he would be back on his feet and within a few weeks he would be able to be back out onto the streets. He was looking forward to killing all of his sister's friends and their allies. He felt a new power within himself, and he was ready to use it.
