Demyx nodded. "Roxas said something about that Axel must have dumped his phone. Apparently he tried calling him to see if he would pick up after a few days of no calls." Demyx said with sorrow feeling his words. Roxas should have never been made to seen these terrible things and had to live in this terrible world. He was just too innocent for this place... They grew up with it, they hardened themselves to it years ago... Roxas.. just looked like he was about to crack under pressure. "... I'm scared too, but for now we are safe so we can be thankful for that."
Roxas was secretly hiding in the backroom for a good ten minutes. If someone came in he would coward behind the cash register until they were done, but he tried to keep his face in the backroom to hide from the general public passing by outside the place. When he heard another person walk in, the blonde dove to the counter hiding under it until he heard the footsteps drawing near. Then he pretended to be stocking something below before standing cautiously up. At first the short-black hair seemed acceptable for someone that wasn't in Leon's crew, but as Roxas looked at the finer details of the person, he felt his heart choke... This looked like a body, mirror image of Axel... His face was different.. Hair, Glasses, Eyes, Missing tattoo... The facial structure was the same though... Either that was his Axel or Axel never told him that he had a twin... He went to open his mouth to speak when he realized that his mouth was already hanging open a little. "A-ax-.." he tried to speak, but it came out more as a ghost echo through his lips... He stopped himself breaking their locked stare as he looked down at the counter choking back a small sob with a deep breath. He was just seeing things. Axel would never do that to himself.. Wasn't thinking clearly. "H-How may I help you today...?" Roxas spoke out weakly after a silence staring straight down into his hands as he twiddled them together on the counter. Hopefully it wasn't too painstakingly obvious that he was shaking like a twig.

Zexion sighed softly. "Yeah... I guess we can definitely be glad about that..." He closed his eyes and relaxed his body. "I'm gonna take a quick nap, okay, Dem..?" he asked softly. "'M still sleepy..."
Axel's pupils dialated, and he felt his breath catch in his throat as Roxas just about said his name...then he breathed out shakily. "I...I'm just gettin' some drinks... seems like some hot days ahead..," he said in a quiet voice with a weak smile towards the blond. God, his heart was pounding. He wanted to hold him so much...hold him and kiss him... He felt tears beginning to flood his eyes, but he held them back. Roxas... He cleared his throat, having to look away from his eyes for a moment. It was overwhelming...

Demyx smiled slightly at the request. "Okay, I'll be here when you wake up, I promise," Demyx whispered softly pulling the slate-haired teen closer to him. He missed the feeling of having Demyx in his arms. Even though they were back together, they still didn't get to be together that often. Just bits and pieces of time every now and then, but having the day like this was really a rarity in its own.
Roxas's eyes locked onto the drinks placed on the counter. He couldn't look up at those eyes. He didn't know why, but something just screamed that they were a lie. Of course, Roxas had no proof just a feeling... As the tall black-haired man spoke, Roxas felt every bone in his body halt as he held onto one of the drinks. It sounded just like him... It was finally happening, Roxas was losing his mind. Yeah, there was a few occasions where he thought he saw him in a crowd, but nothing like this. His imagination had really run away with him this time. Tears slowly leaked from the blue pools as he finally began to move again. "I-I'm sorry... You remind me of someone..." Roxas mumbled under his breath as he rang up all the drinks. "T-That'll be 9.16," Roxas spoke out softly moving his hands up to wipe his face. He probably looked someone that needed to be in a hospital not running the front counter in a drugstore.

Zexion smiled to himself. He could feel himself drifting into sleep. "Better be..," he mumbled before he completely nodded off into dreamland.
As soon as he saw tears run off of Roxas's face, Axel's heart broke. He wanted no more than to smash his lips against the blond's and hold onto him for dear life... Tears fell down his own cheeks, and he desperately dabbed at his skin to get rid of them. The makeup he had on his cheeks said it was waterproof, but you could never be too careful... "Please don't cry..," he found himself whispering very quietly and very hoarsely, looking up at Roxas's face. "I can't stand it when you cry..." He pushed the drinks forward a bit to gesture to Roxas to not say anything, looking at him desperately. He couldn't risk someone following him. He couldn't risk Roxas being found... ...Why the hell was he working at a cashier, anyway? Wasn't that kind of like telling Leon to come and get him?

Roxas sniffled a little quickly wiping away his tears from his face. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm not like this normally." Roxas spoke quickly to the stranger's remark about him crying. The last thing he needed was to be fired, because he couldn't keep his composure. They needed the money to keep them all feed and to pay the rent, but if he got fired, he would have to go back to job hunting.... Which was a thousand times more dangerous then him having to watch the counter for twenty minutes. Roxas stopped though when he said, " I can't stand it when you cry..." When had this guy ever seen him cry? Roxas's eyes widened as he looked up at the man across the counter crying. He wasn't crazy. It was Axel. His Axel. Roxas, without cautious or hesitaion, leaned over the counter pulling Axel down to him and kissing him as Roxas tangled his hands into the dyed black hair.
Axel whimpered slightly as Roxas smashed their lips together. "Roxas..," he breathed in contentment as their tongues tangled together. After a few glorious seconds, he forced himself to pull away from the blond. "You...You know..," he panted softly, wiping the saliva from the passionate, sloppy kiss from his mouth, "You shouldn't...make it a habit to make out with random strangers..." he chuckled softly. "Can I, uh...get my drinks, very friendly friend?" He asked slyly, a slight smirk on his lips. "I have to get home to my boyfriend. He'll be missing me a good bit by now."
Roxas breathed as Axel forced them apart. They hadn't even kissed that long, but just the fact that Axel had said his name made all his breath leave his body. The bright blue eyes just stared into the blue eyes as he listened to Axel. For the first time in months, a small, real smile cracked on his face. "Well, I'm sorry, random strangers only get one freebie, especially if they have a boyfriend, so you are going to have to pay for these drinks." Roxas said back without missing a beat. Roxas paused hearing Axel said that his boyfriend was going to be missing him. "I'm sure that you have no idea how much he misses you."
"Aww, it was worth it to try," Axel replied with a soft chuckle. He pulled out his wallet and handed him a ten dollar bill. He then looked over the drinks in the bag. "Oh, ya know what? I don't even like this one. Why don't you just keep it? You look like you could use a refreshment." He pulled it out of the bag and set it on the counter top. As he recieved the reciept and change, he shoved the money in his pocket and laid the reciept upside-down on the counter. He grabbed a pen from the cup beside the register and jotted down something on it. He then set the drink on top of the reciept and slid it behind the counter for Roxas to keep. He winked at the blond. "See you later, Cutie," he told him flirtatiously. He then left the store and continued down the sidewalk towards the apartment. His heart thrummed hard in his chest from the encounter. God, he loved that blond so much... He smiled to himself happily as he thought of the short message he left him. I love you. See you at home. <3 " Roxas couldn't keep the smile off his face as he watched Axel give him the drink that he obviously bought for him. "Oh, now you are just trying to butter me up." Roxas said back as he watched Axel scribble something on the recipt and hand it back. "I'm sure you will." Roxas replied back confidently as he pulled the drink and recipt back to him and watch the tall, black-haired man walk out of the drugstore. After Axel left, Roxas glanced down at the recipt and he felt himself smile more. At least Axel's personality hadn't changed even though his appearence did. Roxas felt like he was floating on clouds from that meeting. He knew that Axel was safe and he was going to get to see him tonight. He couldn't be happier. Unfortunately though, Roxas had let his guard down now and even though the shop owner had reappeared a few minutes later, Roxas forgot he needed to keep his face hidden.
Axel felt his whole body was lighter now that he had finally seen Roxas again. He had finally kissed his love again after so long... He smiled to himself. He was probably two blocks away from the store now. He stopped suddenly...and turned on his heel to head back to it. He hurried along the sidewalk and re-entered the store...but he didn't see Roxas at the register. Instead it was an older man. He looked at him confused for a moment before walking up to the counter and asked in a polite voice, "Excuse me, Sir... Um...where did the blond that was at the counter a few minutes go?"
The old man seemed a little disturbed by the man that rushed in a haste. He had lived in this city for years now, but he still wasn't quite use to the odd-ball people that lived here. "You talking about my stock room boy, Sora?" He asked softly making sure. 'Sora' had mentioned before about not telling people he was working in the back. Boy said something about being paraoid of stalkers or something crazy like that. The man had to say that he wasn't too fond of the crazies in the city either. When he first came to the city, he even thought to by a gun. "Cause I don't know if he is in, he might have stepped out back to take a break, you know?" The shopkeeper spoke quickly after the thought. He didn't want to go pass bountries that someone entrusted him to keep.
Axel had to think a minute... Sora... That name's familiar... Sora... Sora... Oh! "Yeah, Sora. I was in here a minute ago talking to him, and I forgot to ask him something. Is there any way you could ask if I could talk to him again?" he asked politely, smiling at the man as he glanced back to the door leading to the back. He wanted to see those eyes again...and feel those hands...and lips...and, god, that body... His body shivered slightly at the thought. God, he loved that blond so much.
The man gave the black-haired teen watchful look. "I guess I can go and see if he is back somewhere. Can I get a name to tell him?"The man requested as he never let his guard up. The old man could see the blue eyes wandering back to the storeroom. Sora never stood near the door though. He worked on filling what prescriptions he could or stock in the back behind the shelves. Something the shopkeeper was grateful for. He liked being out watching the shop for himself.
"Riku," Axel told him with a smile, not missing a beat. He hated using someone else's name as his own, but desperate times called for desperate measures. Plus...Roxas had mentioned that Riku was his cousin's boyfriend that night they met...so he had hoped the blond would understand the message behind it. He thought he was being cute.
The store owner nodded a little before heading into the back room. "Sora, Sora are you back here?" The man called looking passed the shelves in the backroom. The blonde wasn't back there. His eyes drifted to the open backdoor. "Sora?" He asked his voice now slightly concerned. Normally that door stayed shut.... The man walked over to door out into the alley. There was a man lifting the now unconscious 'Sora' over his shoulder. "Hey! What are you doing?!" The owner screamed, but the man had already taken off running. The old man wasn't in the best of shape. He wasn't even able to keep up with him enough to follow where he went after a block. His best plan now was to get the black haired kid asking about him to maybe find him. He used what energy he had left to make it back to the store and ran through the front. "You... you have to... go get him... Someone took... Sora.. I can't keep... up.." He breathed completely out of breath by then.

Axel looked extremely confused as the old man began yelling. "What's..?" He then felt his heart drop when the man returned out of breath...Roxas-less. "********!" he cursed and took off out of the back door and down the road the way he assumed the guy went. The guy wouldn't be able to run as fast as usual with Roxas over his shoulder. And Axel was spectacular at running after douchebags. He quickly slipped a hand-gun out of his waistband and cocked it, ready to shoot out the back of the guy's kneecaps once he came within eyesight. He was also an excellent shot.
Down the sidewalk he went, passing a block with ten good, long strides. At that rate, he would catch up to him soon. He wove between people who stopped and stared at him, but he didn't care. He had a dead-set look on his face like he was about to kill someone. and he planned on it if they didn't surrender his blond. As he rounded another corner, he saw a tuft of blond spikes zooming around another one. He growled and took that block in even less steps as he sped up. He held the gun straight out in front of him and shot forward as he came around the curb and perfectly hit the guy behind the left knee. Axel didn't stop there, though. He dashed forward to grab Roxas as the guy crumpled. He bashed the back of the gun against the guy's wrist as hard as he could and gripped onto his blond, holding him tightly to himself and pulling him from the other man's grip. He held him to his chest with one arm and held his arm straight out towards the other man's face. "Don't you dare... Don't you ever ******** touch him again," he seethed in a dark voice, glaring ferociously down at him, death in his eyes. "If you can make it back to that a*****e before bleeding out, let him know that He's just waged absolute war, and I will see to it that he never ******** touches my friends again. Your little friends can follow me all they want. I have more power behind me than Leon can even imagine. I will win." He shot him in the abdomen and the chest before backing away from him around the corner. Then he turned, hoisting the blond up, and kept glancing around to keep watch around them. He carried him back towards the drug store.

The city pushed onward. The busy city streets with people and cars didn’t stop for a moment to mind the screams and gunshots that erupted from the alley. The man stared up at the black haired man with a hopeless, blank emptiness. He was playing his part perfectly… He was letting the man get away with Roxas in arm. He was nameless to them, and to the city he was nameless. He was just another dead body to everyone else, but to his family… He just made himself their savior. For completing this mission, his family was going to be given a second chance and they would be debt-free. He had never been able to give his family much, but at least he could say in the end, he paid the ultimate price for them.
As the man felt himself slipping away, he reached into his pocket speed-dialing the first number in the phone. “I-It’s done…” He whispered as he heard the other voice on the line. “..Tell my f-family… I-I love them..”
The store owner rushed over to them as Axel returned with Roxas. “Oh, thank you Riku, but he doesn't need to be working after something like that. You need to take him straight home. You just tell Sora when he wakes up that he can come back to work in a few days when he feels better.” The man told them quickly not wanting to push Sora into working after something like that happening in the back of his store. Who would have thought? He was definitely going to have to tighten his security measures. The man moved back into the store momentarily to grab Roxas’s jacket, Roxas’s drink, and the bag drinks Axel had before. He handed the drinks over in the bag and gently laying it over the blonde. “Tell him also that I’m terribly sorry that something like this happened to him at my store. I really hope he isn’t hurt,” The owner said as a farewell running his hand through his graying hair. He was so overwhelmed; he just almost didn’t know what to do with himself. At least, they were able to get him back.
Roxas showed no notion of coming back anytime soon. His body was completely limp in Axel’s arms.

Axel held the blond close to himself, leaning down to kiss his forehead gently. Then he looked up at the man as he gathered their things and laid them across Roxas or handed them to Axel. "Sir... After today and what happened, if he comes back to work here, I'd like to as well... To keep an eye on him. I can work the front counter or back there with him... Or even just restocking the shelves. You don't have to pay me the full pay either. I just want to make sure he stays safe..," he said softly, looking down at his blond limp in his arms. He dipped down to kiss his forehead once again. "I don't blame you for any of this, by the way. Don't worry about that. I just don't want to take the chance of them actually getting away if this happens again.

The shopkeeper nodded quickly back to every one of Axel's requests. He didn't want to stir up more trouble for the blond than there already was. Normally people didn't get kidnapped in alleyways like "Sora" did just now. Of course, the shop owner would have just said that the kid should not come to this part of town anymore, but he still vividly remembered the little blonde coming into his store and practically begging for the job in the back of the store. Poor kid was probably in some kind of money trouble... The shop owner didn't take up anymore of their time though, and just said they would work out the details in a few days when Sora was ready to come back to work. The blonde really looked like he needed the rest of the day off anyway.
Roxas was out cold for a long time after that. In fact it wasn't until several hours later that even showed signs that he wasn't dead. "...Roxie...? hey sweetie you there?" Demyx asked seeing the blonde starting to stir. The blonde had been returned them about an hour ago, but since they couldn't take him to the hospital, they had to just sit there and wait to see if he was going to wake up on his own. "ugh...."The small blonde groaned touching his hand to his head and wincing at the lump. "Oh Roxas! Roxas you aren't dead! Axel, Zexion! Roxas is waking up" Demyx yelled from the backroom where they had laid the blond down on the bed. "...Demyx... shhh, my head." Roxas mumbled a little as his eyes fluttered opened and looked up at the mulleted dirty blond. "Oh, sorry, sweetheart. How are you feeling? Axel told us some guy tried to kidnap you and that he knocked you out pretty good." The taller blond asked softly as he leaned down closer to the other. "...ummm, well my head hurts and...and..." Roxas whispered a little as he thought back to being attacked. His hand slowly reached up to his throat before he started to freak out. "No, No, no, what did I swallow!" Roxas yelled before he ran into the bathroom and started to try and make himself throw up. "Roxas wait! what is going on?!" Demyx yelled back after him as he quickly got up and followed him.
