"Really, you can guess to the location?"
Professor Barney would seem to grip upon that one statement. He had completely ignored what he was saying about the boat's location. If Raven thought they were going to be going to the docks here, he had another thing coming. They needed to find a boat that would be more expendable and quicker to move about then not.
That was the thought that ran through his head as he waited for Raven's answer. That one statement had made things just a bit more interesting to him.

At that precise moment Raven would sigh, rubbing the bridge of his nose "Evidently not by those words alone. Though your own words make me question your competence as a Professor" Raven would state rather bluntly as he continued to lean against the wall "If it's not in a location I can guess, then neither can they. Which means you requested they go to a location, on there own, that they don't know the first thing about finding."
"Strike might not be known for their strategy, but you've just sent your students out blind" The boy stated bluntly "People have died for less."
"You preach being prepared, then neglect to provide important information" He went on, though he didn't bother looking toward the Professor, his voice cold and face perfectly neutral in expression "One cannot Strike without a Target as it were."

Professor Barney sighed as Raven speech began. He hadn't known he was dealing with a someone so slow, as he thought back over his own speech, and he could see what the boy was talking about, but had he really thought things through himself before he spoke.
First, off, at the rate they were going both students will meet them back at the class. Second, surely ....if they headed to the boat, the boy had had to more sense than to think he wouldn't leave a way to follow them.
Though he only sighed heavily.
"Is that all you can come up with?" "You aren't the smartest are you ...if you don't have a lot of information, it's best not to let everyone know it?"
He would tell Raven.
"Don't you think ....I couldn't simply have ...a pokemon lead them to the boats. That I couldn't call the guy at the Pokemart to tell them, or, I couldn't have another student lead them on the way as an escort."
"There are a lot of possiblities for them to catch up to us."
"So, I would appreciate if you didn't start to lecture me ...when your information is so shallow ...it makes you look bad."
The older man would declares lightly with a huff as he went about the task of gathering up the last of the needed materials.

"Excuses" Raven stated calmly "All you're doing is making excuses for a lack of foresight. All you've stated are things you could do now, things which could have been easily avoided by one simple act." The boy would then uncross and then recross his arms "I'm not supposed to be the smart one here, you are. It's why you're the Professor."
"My lack of information is due to your lack of teaching" Raven stated, clenching his fist tighter as he attempted to maintain his outward calm "You're no leader, and certainly no teacher. You don't provide information when needed...though it may be small, even the most fragmented piece of information can be important...instead you withhold, point out others faults to distract from your own...and for it you lose credibility, the trust of your students...you don't inspire respect, but rather disgust" Raven went on, beginning to grit his teeth as he struggled to stay in the room...leaving would do him no good.
"I am a child...I am flawed... inexperienced...emotional...prone to error because of it..." The boy spoke slowly, deliberately "...but even a blind man can see it, you have no excuse."
"If our life is in anyway in your hands, we're already dead."
With that Raven would leave the room, though he wouldn't truly depart. Instead he'd simply stand in the hallway beside the door. He'd made his opinion clear, but arguing with the man did him nothing. He was a student, and this man was his Professor. There was little he could do to change that...and all of it was foolish. For now he'd simply wait in the hall, he had nothing else to say, and likely wouldn't speak further with the man unless the situation demanded more then a nod or shake of the head.

As one left another came, the steady, muffled thump of wings beating hard coming from outside of the class' window. Ada would come into view, standing on her Aerodactyl's back rather confidently as she threw up her hands, silver and gold glitter raining down upon her as she'd say the words, out loud and for everyone to hear;
"ADAMINE MONROE, REPORTING FOR DU- ACK"
She'd cough. And then cough again. And then she'd put her hands on her neck, cough, hunch over and fall just and she coughed out a lob of spit with a little bit of glitter in it, had she been...choking on it...?
Wait, did she just FALL? Erion would be seen diving down head first, and for a few moment's there'd be compete and utter silence as neither of them would be seen until about half a minute or so when Erion would be seen rising, Ada's arms gripped firmly yet gently in his feet and the brim of her hat in his mouth in such a way that it wouldn't tear. The fire haird girl would wave to Barney from outside as enthusiastic as someone who just nearly plummeted to their doom could, giving a thumbs up soon after to show that she was indeed okay.
Now if only she could get some help going in...

"You do understand that all your points are valid in my favor, and because, I didn't give you all the information doesn't mean I don't have a plan. It just means that you don't know it."
Professor Barney would openly sigh.
"If you understand you are all of the above, give me one good reason I should make my plans known to you?" Or, if because it's not clear, suddenly your insight makes it so that no plan exists at all?
Also, I never once introduced myself as anything other than your Professor. There is a differences in the words for one very big reason ...a teacher will hold your hand, and a Professor won't."
The man would make that last statement with a really big smile on his face. Ada would return and he would wave at her from the window. The Totodile already at work with unfastening the windows as the pokemon would wave at her to come. Surprisingly enough, there was already a ladder in the room ...that he would slide over and climb to the high point.
The look on his face was so caring, but everyone knows about a crocodile's smile.
Professor Barney would decided maybe it was best for him to handle the situation as he would walk over there and push the Totodile out of the way as he reaches out for her.
"Bring her closer, and I will take your trainer in."
He was talking to Erion then.

The moment Barney turned a heavy object would strike the back of his head from across the room. It was a dictionary opened to the P section and with the word Professor expressly underlined.
A Professor of Strike he might have been, but a Professor of English he certainly wasn't.

The book would connect heavily...as the man would turn back to look at him with an expression that promised death. Though for the moment he had to tend to Ada, but once done ....once finished he would teach that boy a thing or two.
There was a reason he was drum out of the Tactics class afterall, and he felt muscles bunch at the thought of showing him why.
His totodile would be laughing at first, but, as he noticed the look on his face surprisingly enough ...the pokemon would seem to sober up.

Tsuki entered the room just in time to see a book whizzing through the air, hitting the professor upside his head. That was... odd. Ouch? The boy was relatively glad he wasn't in the glare's path. So, yeah. Everybody was pretty much ready for the field trip, give or take. Of course he'd end up having to fight one or two of his classmates the moment Barney was gone, but, he was determined to see the upside. He'd get to spend time with said classmates, without fighting them like at the tournament. Was that even an upside? Again, positive thinking! Compared to Rose, these people were friendly. That might be true for everyone, but he ignored that fact. Why'd he even bring her anyways? Bah, probably just in case he found a Metal Coat.

Surprisingly enough Raven would simply glare back at the man, unflinching. To say the least this wasn't exactly the first time he'd come to less then positive terms with a teacher.
He'd even made certain to place himself in an advantageous position. Standing just back from the doorway he was in a position of relatively easy escape if something were thrown. In the event of a chase...well, least he'd have a head start. Really that's all he had there. Though the odds of him running weren't particularly high anyway.

It would come across quite smoothly as the man would pull her into the room. Holding her close, because he was on a ladder and didn't want her to wiggle and fall to the floor as he settle her beside him.
Though the man wouldn't look up ...not once as he would wave at the bird and slam his hand on the window still itself ...as an alarm would blare to life and from the doorway to all the windows metal bars would slam down and shut.
This was a man whom knew that something one needed to trap an enemy inside or keep one out. Either way, he wasn't about to let Raven off of the hook as he would pretty much carry Ada down the ladder with him to place her gently on the ground.
"So, you have a problem with my qualifications?"
Professor Barney was smiling, but his Totodile was not. The pokemon gave a look that was nothing but teeth ...as the man would stand there ready and waiting for his answer for put a moment before adding to that.
"I don't want to take any students under my wing that think I am incompetent. It means you won't follow orders in the long run, and that can get me or one of your classmates killed.
I ignored the fact that you were willing to squabble with your classmate for a past transgression, and I tried to ignore the problems that will present. But, if you are willing to stand up to your superior, that just means, that when my eyes are turned you might take your revenge anyway.
It might mean, you decide to do it despite the mission.
That isn't Strike, it's stupid, or worse, you might feel you know more than others in a situation ....due to your perspective and miss the overall picture.
"I can't allow that, so, Raven ...let's battle. You may choose what type of battle, and the rules of it."
The man would tell him with his arms crossed. He was looking and waiting for the answer from the boy with his arms crossed.
Raven had asked for this, and we was going to get it.

As the alarms blared Raven would look around slowly, listening to the man calmly. Finally the child would shake his head "I don't think a battle will be necessary. I stand by my point" Raven would state before slowly tapping the bars with the hilt of his sword "...because you just proved it for me." Now that he'd turned around Barney would be able to quite clearly see something. Raven was on the other side of the trap. He'd been standing on the side of the doorway which placed him in the hall. That was the only way his previous thoughts would honestly work. Apparently the man had missed that fact.
Resting one hand on the hilt of his sword the boy would scowl slightly "There's no benefit in battling you under normal circumstances. Be it with Pokemon or by our own hands" Raven said while looking at the man through the bars "Being powerful does not make you a good mentor. Nor does being intelligent. Your weakness lies in neither body nor mind....it is the heart."
"If I choose the battle and rules, then it shall consist of a single question....only one...." The boy would state, raising his right index finger "What do you believe is the purpose of strength?"((That wasn't even a plot device either. It's why I said he was standing back from the doorway rather then in it or in front of it. To clarify from his perspective he'd stepped back from the doorway.))

(Let me get this straight ....Raven gave a challenge and reacted by going and standing outside of the door of the room. This is to not be interrupted as running away .....? I won't go into that one)
Professor Barney would smile on that note.
"That's not a battle and your rules are shady at best. Though since I agreed, the man would pound one fist into the other."
"The answer should be obvious, to protect that ....which you value, be it, people, places, or pokemon. That is the my meaning of strength."
The man would stroll over the control pad on his desk and would push a button to raise the bars in the room.
"So, since this is a battle of conviction ...what is your reason for strength, your purpose?"
The man would ask Raven back. It was only fair at that moment.

((Incorrect. As you might recall Raven stepped into the hall a few posts back because he was tired or arguing with Barney. When he threw the book he was still in the hallway, flinging it through the open doorway. Thus it in fact wasn't running away as he'd already been standing there.))"A satisfactory response...but still selfish" The boy stated calmly, standing in that single space, shoulders squared and back straight. "Strength is not for the strong, but for the weak. To defend those whom cannot protect themselves...to inspire them to attain their own strength...and to crush those who claim power they do not wield under foot" Raven declared, his crimson eyes practically blazing with the intensity he put behind those words.
The child believed every word he spoke to the very root of his soul. Though he could not deny that perhaps his conviction did not stem from the proper source. It was not the desire to defend the defenceless that the fire in his belly had originally been lit, but the desire to crush the powerful...to show them just how weak they were, and just how strong the weak could become...
