Ami was about to say something about the pendant, but Dakota interrupted and the two men started having a conversation. At first, Ami thought it would be something trivial because it was Dakota, and things with Dakota were always trivial, but then they started talking about rather serious matters like dying and leaving something to Cass ... Basically?

She felt incredibly awkward. She'd just come for a little assistance with her pendant, maybe one of those great Marcus pep-talks and she'd walked in on a very serious moment between Dakota and Marcus. She tried to just blend into the background, but it was hard acting like she hadn't just heard that. Well, if by some freak chance neither Dakota or Marcus survived, now she could do it, right?
... Yeah that didn't make this any less awkward.
Ami decided to just play it like she hadn't heard it. If you didn't talk about it, it didn't happen, right? ... Yeahhh .... "Ahhh ... Do you know how the pendants work?" she piped up. This was so awkward. She should've never done this. "Sorry, I just can't get the hang of this hunter gear down. I still think my FEAR scanner's broken half the time."

This was...surprisingly fun. Pissing off Rep was making her feel alright. His words couldn't touch her right now. Candace had reached a point where she just did not give a <********> right now. She was smiling as he insulted her, an actual smile. When she spoke, it was with a heavily accented Southern drawl. A genuine one. "Texas, darlin'. Good thing I left there to get me some proper learnin' so I wouldn't just be some no-knowledge hick whore."
This was fun. Surprisingly fun. It wasn't exactly healthy healing or anything but it was a distraction. Something that was taking her mind off the events in the Antarctic. "If you didn't notice," Candace said after a moment, her accent mostly gone. "We've already experienced the ice age." She chuckled and rolled her eyes, only faltering when told she was always called Candace. She tensed, falling quiet and frowning.
"No I..I'm...I not...wasn...I told him he could--I..."
Candace shut her mouth and walked away, rubbing her lips together and ruffling her hair. Dumbass.

Harrison the human bandaid was still trying to process what the hell kind of threesome Dakota was talking about, never mind STDs and a serious b***h fight going down between Candace, who had just experienced some severe Doctor-related trauma, and Rep, who just liked to b***h fight.
He decided to pull the confused-looking Moon trainee over instead.
"They set up a kinda safe zone, and the necklace will warp you back to it. You just got to say-" he hesitated, then fished around in his smurf shirt for the pendant still hanging there. The one set to the Sahara. "Uh. The secret words. ....anybody have a pen?"

Rep looked utterly smug as in his own mind he managed to win the argument, calling after her in a mockery of the accent she had used. "You should see a doctor about that butthurt Candace darlin'"
And then he settled for looking smug as all hell.

Wash couldn't really remember how he'd gotten here - there was a lot of running and sliding on ice and near-death experiences - but eventually he was in a jungle with his fellow trainees, and he was staring rather blankly at what appeared to be a supply table.
A brief pause, and he picked up what looked like some sorta high tech runic walkie talkie. Or maybe just a regular walkie talkie- they used CV radios mostly at his old job, as they were almost always out of range for the smaller devices. Tossing it into the air and catching it, he pocketed it. Yeah, this might come in handy.

Wash continued to be oblivious to the other trainees around him, still perusing the table's contents.
He finally picked up a strange pendant. He swung it in the air idly, pocketing it as well. It probably had some sort of use - he'd have to ask about it later. Deus didn't usually hand out costume jewelry if it hadn't been modified in some way.
Dusting his hands off, he turned to eye the rest of his fellows. He shrugged out of his jacket, tying it around his waist. Goodness, it was warm here.

Wilson idly looked around. Hmm. Looking, looking…Oh! Look, there was Feng and Ami with each other. He smiled. Wilson remembered Feng saying Ami disliked him, but if they were talking to each other then something good must have happened between them, right? They could be friends now, right?? Being friends with each other was always good. Ah. Ami left and went over to Marcus. Wilson frowned and watched Feng awkwardly shuffle away. That sure looked lonely. He decided to follow the mist trainee. “Hey Feng! Haven’t seen you since we first arrived to the Arctic. How’ve you been?” Just subtly ignore the fact that they had both turned into penguins afterward.
He heard Dakota yell something about Amazon STDs. With a blank face, he turned around to stare at the moon trainee before calmly turning back to face Feng again. Wilson was starting to get too used to Dakota’s shenanigans. “So, Feng, what kind of supplies did you get?”

Cass gave Rep a matter-of-fact look.
"Play nice, please." If they got divided into their divisions for this, she was going to need a not-broken Candace.

Feng was right on with ignoring the penguin issue. He was happy to hear a voice that he deemed leagues more friendly than Ami's though. He even visibly brightened a bit. "It was a little shakey getting out of there, actually. I was a bit banged up, but they patched me up well before we got here."
Feng couldn't pretend to be uneffected by Dakota's outburst. He stared wide-eyed in the moon's direction, even as he answered, "I got a fear scanner and a communication device... thing." He still wasn't sure what it was and how easy it was going to be to use. "What did you get?"

"Yeah, well. Here's hoping we can kick the asses of whatever else instead, yeah?" A soft smile at Reine-- she was not so serious, now. Not as much as usual, and she honestly wasn't sure if that was a good or a bad thing.
The applause from people around her made Clerise glow a little, performing a bow for everyone to see, elaborate and with a flourish of her arms.
"I wonder, too."
She spotted a familiar face or five, including Rep and Dakota, bitchfighting.
Always the bitchfighting.
With a hop and a skip (after sheathing her daggers), Clerise pounced on Rep, swinging an arm around his neck-- and promptly giving him a noogie.
"Sup ********! Are you being a giant ********' pill again?" Her tone was playful, and she released him soon enough, laughing like a hyena.

"You know I don't ******** start trouble. I end it. And I just did."

Ami's eyes went wide as another man grabbed her and pulled her aside. Ha ... Har .... Harrison! Right! See, she could remember names of people. Sort of.
She instantly scooted a foot or so away, still not entirely comfortable with the ulterior motives of men- especially ones that she didn't know well. He was trying to help though, so she gave him the benefit of the doubt.
"Have to say ...?" she repeated, trailing off in the same way he did. Well that wouldn't do her any good. Her form sagged and she looked around the tables for a pen, just like him. "Sorry no pen here ..." Her hands fiddled with her Junpei clip aimlessly, readjusting it, fixing it, perfecting the way it say in her hair. After a moment, she said, "Does it matter? We can sort it out later."
As she looked around she noticed Wilson talking to Feng. Oh c'mon! Don't make friends with him. Of all the people...

Ignore him. He's trying to get a rise out of you. It was fun while it lasted, right? Candace frowned more. I mean the argument just now. You were having fun. It'll be okay, Candace. She supposed Atropos was right. There would be time for proper reflection and s**t like that when they returned to Deus. She was determined to return to Deus. Alive.
Candace stopped when she heard Cass admonish Rep for what he had said, chuckling softly and pushing her bangs away from her face. She turned enough to mouth a 'thank you' to her, shooting a dark glare at Rep. If looks could kill, Rep would be in his grave right about now. After that she moved to sit under the nearest tree, kid of just flopping down to the ground and leaning against the tree. Her head tipped back against it and she closed her eyes. Tiiiiired.

Robert missed the antarctic.
He picked up a dagger and started to take his shirt off, but stopped as soon as he remembered the last time he'd been warned against it.
And he hated his life.
