I'm no sure if this has been answered somewhere else, but is there a general agreement on how much Senshi/Nega magic accelerates healing? I know it does, but I'm not sure to what degree!

I maybe broke two of my characters recently and it'd be useful to know how long they'll be out of commission |D

Iris: There have never been any flat numbers but the world that has always been thrown around is 'mild' so there is some, but it's not a magic pill by any means. (And one could assume that it would be the tinest faster if they can spend some of that healing time powered up versus simply as a civilian)

It's really more for things like aches, pains, and bruises. Aches and pains would likely dissipate in half the time as usual, a bruise that would usually last 3 days might last 2 instead on a powered character.

Something like a broken arm however is still going to be broken for a long time. (Let's say that takes a month to heal usually? It's probably still going to take atleast 3 weeks for a powered character)

That said, consuming starseeds has been known to speed healing even more. So a character that can get their hands on one (or some) could fast track their healing even more. Just try not to turn into a youma. :3

HOMEWORLDS
c/o a couple ambient plots -

The frequency of visits is well documented. What isn't is how long and under what circumstances.

Both with a personal idea/plot regarding science teams of my own, and a second plot with Medea active where there was an ambush plot in the works that involved utilizing an eternal senshi's homeworld as a base/prison. During that plot development questions were asked regarding if someone could be taken and left there on a homeworld while the ruling senshi returned to Earth and the answer was no- people can only remain on a homeworld as long as the senshi that took them there remains there with them. I've also heard of senshi camping on their homeworlds.

So How long can each stage of senshi stay on their homeworld once they are there? Do they have to stay powered up the whole time in order to stay there? Can they power down on their homeworld and not get kicked back to Earth? Supplies would obviously be an deciding factor on timeframes outside of the magical aspects, but what are the magical limitations?

Iris: There aren't actually any magical limitations on how long someone can stay on a homeworld, the time limit is all about physical survival. So it doesn't matter at all what stage character you are.

Home worlds are supposed to be in some way or another currently inhospitable. Whether that is because of nasty weather and elements or the more simple and common 'no fresh water, cannot grow food' these places have been abandoned for over 1000 years and aren't really the place that someone should be able to just move to and immediately have a life there unassisted. However when a senshi or knight appears at their home it begins to slowly heal and the more effort the person puts into it the better that can proceed. As such if you can meet your survival needs (decent shelter in homeworlds that require it, food and water in others) you can stay there as long as you want to or until you have to do another supply run.

While on a homeworld, the knight/senshi is so close to the power source that they shouldn't need to ever henshin down. Even while sleeping they'd have enough energy to remain powered (something totally not possible on Earth). Whether or not they can unhenshin on their homeworld depends on each world and it's inhospitability. If your home has horrendous weather, lacks sufficient oxygen, or is otherwise a wasteland it'd probably be better not to power down. But as long as the surroundings aren't too bad it is possible. You will however need to power back up to return to Earth.

Other people should not be staying on the homeworld/wonder without the owner (until it is fully hospitable again) and would most likely be immediately transported back to Earth if the owner tried to leave.

Hi, I have a question about viable spheres for senshi!

Many moons ago, I was told that occupations, stations, or forms of employment were not viable spheres. One way to make it work was to use the action of the occupation (for example, housekeeping rather than housekeeper, judgement rather than judges). Is this rule still in place?

Iris: Yes that is correct and still in place. heart

I know it's been said that a henshin pen CAN be broken, but how hard are they to break? Would it take a lot of force, or are they relatively fragile?

Henshin pens are pretty sturdy. Though it is possible to break them with a lot of effort, it isn't something that usually happens. If you decide to break your pen do keep in mind that your character will be unable to transform at all until it can be fixed by a cat.

This is more of a random question that literally just popped into my head and I was curious to see what the answer would be.

If a Guardian Cat is bonded to a White Moon senshi, what happens to the cat if that senshi corrupts to the Negaverse or Dark Mirror Court? Is the bond still there? And if so, can the cat then corrupt to stay with their bonded?

Iris: A cat's bond to a person is a personal thing (not really a magical soul bond or anything like that). It's basically just the cat choosing that there is one person above all other that they want to take care of/mentor/help grow to be the best senshi they can be/or otherwise just be with. If the person they bond to switches sides nothing physically happens to the cat (though I imagine they'd be emotionally affected one way or the other).

The cat is free to unbond at any time (And rebond with someone else or remain a free agent). If they really want to follow their senshi over to the other side versus sticking to their current faction/duties though then there is nothing stopping them from doing so.

Technically speaking a cat's bond to their faction would probably be stronger then their bond to a particular senshi, but that's certainly not a clear cut case every time and the situation you suggested is possible!

I've always assumed the answer to this, but before a cat awakens as a guardian, do they have a forehead star, or does it appear after? It's a pretty obvious giveaway to what they are.

Iris: It appears when they awaken. Either magically or it's hidden beneath their fur (and the sudden surge of magic at awakening reveals it).

Would a powered character who had met another powered character prior to their purification/ corruption recognise them as that same person they had encountered if they weren't there to see them purify/ corrupt?

As an example Falias and Kairatos met when Kairatos was still Realgar. Given that Falias was not there to see Realgar purify would he be able to recognise Kairatos as formerly being Realgar on sight - or would Kairatos have to tell him that he was once Realgar for him to know this.

Iris: When a character side swaps they get a brand new glamour, so it is unlikely that someone would be able to tell with any real certainty. Unless their appearance (and uniform) stays very similar or they have some sort of really recognizable trait (and both players agree to the recognition) it is highly unlikely that the purified/corrupted person would be recognized.

EDIT - Because I wasn't clear enough about it before - If a player chooses for their character to be recognizable to everyone even after the corruption/purification that is their personal choice and is perfectly fine.

However it shouldn't just be assumed that players want their character recognized, so prior to recognizing a side swapped character (particularly knights and Negaverse who don't have clear sphere's giving them away) always make sure you contact the player and ask because they do not have to be recognizable if they choose not to be!

In the case of extended homeworld visits, does the timer on when one can go reset at the time of arrival on the homeworld, or departure? As an example, if a basic senshi were to spend a week on theirs before returning to Earth, would they be able to go back in two weeks, or would they have to wait for three?

Iris: It is based on the arrival date!

Following Ivynian's question about homeworlds and the answer given, how long does it take to "heal" your wonder or planet? Is it within the scope of the shop canon to actively go and heal your wonder or planet (ie is it possible as of right now to get a completely hospitable planet or wonder again)?

And how should one go about trying to heal their wonder or planet, both IC and OOC? Do we need to fill out some sort of form, or plot request for it, or simply just put in the RP hours? Meaning, are there any requirements IC and OOC for planet or wonder rehabilitation?

We are actually going to have some more info out about this in the near future, but the ability to restore a planet is currently on a case-to-case basis. To have your character do this, I think the best thing to do for now is to send in a PM outlining what sorts of things you would like to grow on your homeworld and we can give you a better idea of how long that might take. There aren't any particular hoops to jump through; if restoring a homeworld is something your character puts effort into, it is something that can be worked towards! Due to the magical properties of homeworlds and wonders, it would allow them to become revitalized quicker than we might expect for places on earth, though this is likely to still be a long and arduous process. At this time, there is no way to restore human or animal life, however it is possible to work towards making your homeworld more hospitable!

Could a senshi take a youma into space with them? Such as a particular locsust-y fellow?

If they felt so inclined! Provided it is not to a location where it specifies that no chaos character can enter (so, no Surrounding or Moon trips unless you get plot clearance), it would be fine if someone wanted to take a youma for a wonder/homeworld visit!

For planet visits, what happens if a Senshi upgrades during the "wait time" between visits? Do they follow the old cooldown, or the new one?

For example - Penthesilea visited her planet on April 15. On April 26th, she upgraded to Super. Can she go again on April 29 (two weeks after her initial visit date) or does she have to wait until May 6 (three weeks after)?

They would follow the new one! As soon as you upgrade, you are no longer bound by previous stage's wait time! (So, now that she is super she would have no issue heading back on April 29th!)

Can a senshi eat a starseed without going youma?

A senshi can eat a starseed, but it has extreme effects on them that Negaverse agents do not suffer through. It restores next to no energy, and instead leaves the senshi with hallucinations (mostly of the person whose starseed they have just consumed), sickness/nausea, pain, and extreme guilt. There is no addictive properties to order characters eating starseed, and after two the person would suffer with similar side effects (however at this point it is far more extreme and unbearable) in addition to suffering extreme mental anguish (such that could bring them to the brink of insanity). Consuming two starseeds could cause irreparable damage or youmify an order character. Overall, eating a starseed is not a good idea, and if you have a plot that involves this, please send it in so we can clear it!

On the same note as the above question~

Can a DMC Senshi eat a starseed (that a Nega would have ripped)? And if so, what would they experience? Would it be a boost like Negas, or would something else happen since they are a different 'breed' of Chaos? Would they become addicted to it like Negas do if they eat enough of them? Would they become a youma eventually?

The answer is yes! Dark Mirror Senshi can eat a starseed if they choose, but the experience offers little benefit. Although not as severe as the reaction a White Moon Senshi might suffer when eating a starseed, Dark Mirror Senshi would experience similar symptoms, just to a lesser degree. The starseeds are still addictive and eating too many can cause permanent damage. There is pretty much nothing to gain for a Dark Mirror Senshi to eat a starseed, and should anyone choose to have their Dark Mirror Senshi become addicted to starseeds, they will need to send in a PM to discuss with the mule!

When a powered invidual's starseed is ripped out from their body, what happens to their energy signature? Does it start to fade? If yes, how fast?

Edit: For clarity's sake, an example.

Bischofite rips out Cora's starseed when she is in human form. What happens to her energy while the starseed is out of her body and she is still in human form?

Does it
a) fade
b) switch off
c) stays the same
d) something else, what?

^ @LLK - I don't know the extent of how related powered signature fade would be to the fade from uniformed to civilian, but I asked that similar question a bit ago that may or may not help you and the GMs to have on direct hand for your answer. (Not trying to preempt GMS at all, just offering the reference since I was looking at it recently )

I fished this one around for hearsay already, but for the sake of an official clarification useful to everyone, may as well repost it here.

In the old Q&A thread was posted without answer-

I'm 99.999999% sure I read this somewhere, but I for the life of me can't find it anywhere... So I guess I'm just gonna ask anyway XD

If a Page is killed by someone from Chaos (more specifically a DMS), do they revert back to Civilian form once they die? I thought I read that it depends on whether or not they were actually killed or if their starseed was taken, but I couldn't remember which was which. ;;

Thank you<3

As an expansion to the question, if any powered character/NPC disposable dies in an rp, is the body still in funny costume or does it revert to civilian? Is the reversion, if it happens, immediate?

It requires at least some energy, for everyone/every faction, to remain powered up. So therefore anyone killed would eventually become their civilian self after death because they no longer have the energy to hold up the disguise and powered form. Sometimes this has been rp'd as an immediate change after death, but other times it has not.

If people want it, specifically for plot reasons, we're lenient on exactly how long after death that switch occurs. So it can happen immediately, or if you need it to take longer, it can be explained away as something that takes a little while as the residual life force and energy drains out of their body.
