B: Wait for it to move out of your way on its own. You don't want to startle it any more than you probably already have.

A: Try to talk to it! Maybe it's a familiar you can bond with.

C: Offer it a treat! You did bring some oats with you, after all.

A: The deer doesn't respond. You think it might be ignoring you. You take a step closer only to be rammed in the side hard by something you don't see, and you're knocked unconscious before you can get a look. By the time you wake up, it's too late in the day to continue your hike. THE END
C: You reach into your pack and drops some oats on the ground in front of you, backing up to give the deer a chance to eat them. It inspects the food curiously and nibbles on it before moving closer. It follows you relentlessly for the rest of the day, and you get so frustrated you give up on your hike altogether to escape it. THE END
If you chose B continue one.
You wait patiently for the deer to make up its mind about where it wants to go, and it eventually continues crossing the path and disappears into the forest. Without it blocking your path, you continue down the trail. Pretty soon, you come across a heavy stone covered in moss and vague paint marks too faded for you to make out what they're supposed to be. You figure it must be some kind of shrine, likely to honor a mountain spirit or something.
What do you do? A: Leave an offering at the shrine! It's bad juju not to honor these kinds of things. B: Ignore the shrine and continue on. It's just superstition anyway, and it's not going to hurt anyone not to. C: Kick the shrine! It'd old and stupid, and no one cares enough to maintain it anyway.
