Kaleb smiled weakly, the gentle touch wasn't that bad, and the reassurance was well worth it. "S-sorry," he said to Riley, and then realized his partner would have been happier if he had just stayed quiet.
The mage avoided turning his head when he heard Demyx return, but he whimpered a bit as he felt the warm water against the fresh cuts. The musician was true to his word, and never used enough pressure to make him react more than that. "I-it's... It's okay, th-thank you," he managed to get out at one point, before wincing again and focusing on lying still.

He decided that it was probably better not to ask how Demyx was doing that. Magic was a weird thing and from what he'd discovered so far there were too many people around who could do it in too many different ways. He could just stay where he was and hope Kaleb didn't hurt any worse.

"S-s-sorry Kaleb, I'll try to finish soon..."
Manipulating the water, Demyx gently washed the blood away from the base of Kaleb's new tail and wings. Cringing as he remembered just how much they had hurt, the sitarist worked for a few minutes before finishing up. It was by no means perfect, but at least some of the blood had been cleaned away, and they could better treat Kaleb's wounds.
"Okay...I know I said not to touch him, but do you think you can get some bandages on their Riley?..."

Kaleb felt so much better when most of the blood matting his fur together was cleaned off, it was one less discomfort he would have to put up with. He just closed his eyes and tried to relax as the other two worked, and although he couldn't focus on his usual deep breathing exercises, he was able to distract himself from some of the stabbing pain.

"I do .. do ya have any of that stuff 'round?" He looked down at his partner. He had told him not to talk so he got up so he could go digging around. Kaleb should since he was a healer right?

Blood cleaned from Kaleb, Demyx struggled to think of something else to do. Glancing down at the floor, the sitarist let his eyes roam over the blood soaking in. Right...he could try and clean that up a bit. It'd likely need to be replaced anyway, but at least he could -try-...and maybe it'd make Kaleb feel a bit better.
Calling more water from the bowl, the angelic Nobody went about scrubbing the floor.

Kaleb had his eyes closed, and he wasn't paying any attention at all to the conversation, so his lack of reply was due to ignorance rather than obedience. He would have slept if it wasn't for the pain, but at least his exhaustion kept him from trying to move around more.
Although he had no problems healing whatever injuries he may have sustained on his own, he did keep a well stocked first-aid drawer under the counter in the bathroom. It was always good to be prepared in case of an emergency.

He grinned as he found the first aid kit and brought it out to where Kaleb was. "Umm .... this is probably gonna hurt." He didn't really want to hurt his partner any more than he already hurt.

Demyx gave a brief whine at the word 'hurt'. He really didn't want to see his friend in pain...but they needed to be bandaged, and Riley knew to be careful...
Trying to think of other things, the sitarist continued to wash what he could off the floor.

Kaleb tried to turn his head to look, but the movement was too painful. "I-I'll be okay," he said, trying to reassure them he really would be fine before clenching his jaw a bit and mentally preparing himself for the pain. Surely it would be less than what he had experienced during the change itself, but he lived through that, so he could live through whatever Riley had to do.

He still didn't like the idea but it would be better to get things bandaged. Setting down the kit he sat beside his partner and carefully went about bandaging his wings and tail.

There wasn't much for Demyx to say. For now, the sitarist would have to content himself with cleaning up what he could, and slipping a glance to the other two from time to time to check on them. Feeling so helpless was awful, but he knew there wasn't much else he could really do.

Kaleb thought he could have handled the pain just out of sheer will not to make his friends worry more than they had to, but it was too much for him. His eyes teared up first, and then he gasped haltingly and whimpered. The little healer wanted to tell Riley to stop, that it hurt too much to keep going, but he knew if Riley didn't get it all done at once he wouldn't be able to handle the pain when his partner finished the job.

"Sorry .. sorry sorry ..." He really was trying to get the bandages on Kaleb as easily as he could but it obviously still hurt. "Just a bit more then i'll stop okay?"

Biting back his own whine, Demyx hurriedly gathered up bowl and went off to dump the bloodied water. Hearing Kaleb suffer so much was obviously bothering the little sitarist, and for the moment he had no idea how to deal with it besides get away.
