"You owe me nothing," He bit at the piece she offered, "Except for perhaps staying safe in my arms for a few nights."

"I will do so gladly," she held the remaining of the piece in the center of her hoof.

Sinthos stretched his neck to reach it, almost falling off of the chair as he did so.

Firebolt moved quickly to steady him, "You're certain this activity is safe?"

"It was. Though anymore, I must wonder if anything is safe." Sinthos stood and kissed her cheek. "I cannot even take in nourishment without fear of injury."

Sinthos shook his head, "I have survived on less. Though I am sure if I had a mother she would be pleased someone is looking after me so."

"I know...I would want the same for you." The water boiled and Sinthos spooned the gooey oatmeal into a plain wooden bowl with a matching spoon. He took a bite and scrounged up his nose, "Accio cinnamon." A small jar flew off of a shelf and into his waiting hoof and he began to spoon several large heaps into his food. "I tend to enjoy a bit of flavor with my oatmeal..." He smiled somewhat sheepishly again, looking at the small mountain of the red brown spice in his bowl before mixing it up.
