Shanks walked over to her, smiling proudly. "You're picking this up well." He praised her. Kale puffed out, pleased. "Thanks!" She was excited. "Just remember." He began slowly, touching her hip; "The force behind the uppercut needs to be enough not to slow down the whole move." He told her. "It's like..." He paused to think, "The last bit of energy it takes to finish off your opponent." Kale nodded and bounced slightly with enthusiasm. "Okay!" She replied seriously. She could tell he was taking her seriously, and that was nice; she liked to be taken seriously. Not like some little girl that didn't know what she was doing.

Kale waited as Shanks sat down. "Come sit Kale, the next technique is always best to explain first." He told her. Kale nodded and took a seat next to him. "My next technique is called 'Ultimate Mutilation'." He said seriously, as though he didn't really like the name, but it was what it was. Kale nodded quietly. "And it is very simple to understand, but it takes quickness and force to accomplish." Shanks was indeed serious about this move it seemed. Kale took on his seriousness, she didn't want to come off childish in the face of something as dangerous it seemed as this.

Shanks looked towards Kale, "Listen to me Kale," He told her, putting his hand on her shoulder. "I will teach you this, and my last move Pirate Finale; but you need to promise me, you won't use these move willy-nilly during all fights." He eyed her. Kale nodded, "I promise." She replied honestly. "If that's what you want, then I promise." She continued, nodding her head; looking up at him through her bangs. "Good." He said and the smile returned to his face. "Now, Ultimate Mutilation is as follows; Dash forward, the Merry Pirate Slashes and then a sword thrust as the finisher." Kale's eyes widened and could see why he was so serious about it.

The kick was quick and fairly powerful knocking Noah off balance giving Bascud the time to jump back into his original position. "As I said, it can buy you time, didn't want to hurt you too bad but thats the attack." Noah jumped to his feet and dusted himself off, he found it funny that he had just been hurt but wasn't smiling. He ran up to Bascud and drove his blade in the ground so that it would be steady he then used it to propel himself towards Bascud however not everything went according to plan. He hit Bascud but not with enough force to actually hurt him. In response Bascud returned the favor by kicking and off guard Noah.

Shanks took a breath and stood up. Kale watched him and then she too stood up. "Let's begin." He said, smiling at her. Kale did a back flip away from him and stood at a distance, preparing to watch him show her his technique. Shanks slid his foot back, and took his stance. It was a bit different than the stance he had taken before, and Kale guessed it was because of the quick dash he mentioned for the beginning. Kale watched him with anticipation. Shanks began, he dashed forward; and Kale had to adjust her eyes to his speed. He began the Merry Pirate Slashes; Kale couldn't even keep count and then the final thrust in the end.

It was all so amazing to Kale; like a wicked dance, only danced between to masters. Kale's eyes shined with the beauty of the move, and at the same time, she feared the dangerousness, she knew this technique was. Shanks turned on her and smiled softly. He had that same look, when he first used the move. "You want to see it again Kale? Then you can begin trying it?" Shanks questioned her, it was polite, sweet; and friendly. Kale nodded, "Yes, please." Normally; she didn't say please when things like this happened. Please, it seemed wasn't in other pirate's dictionaries, so she'd almost erased it from hers.

He re-took his stance, his foot shifted and his height lowered, for the quick dash. Again, it all came very fast, but Kale was prepared this time; so she could keep up, at least for a moment. Once he hit the Merry Pirate Slashes, again she lost count; but she wasn't upset by this, just amazed. The thrust in the end, and then Shanks straightened up. Smiling Kale clapped her hands together. "It's beautiful." She told him, in almost just a whisper, but on the air he caught it and nodded. "Isn't it?" He replied. "Sometimes, I'm blinded by it." He told her honestly. She could understand why.

Something so magnificent to watch, was something so powerful. It seemed like, to Kale; it might make you feel like a god. Someone, who just by the mere beauty of your move; was invincible. Kale knew that wasn't true though. Things like that, just didn't happen. He turned on her, and motioned for her to come to his side. Which she did. She stayed a few feet away, as together they took stance. It was different, and Kale had to adjust her self to get used to the stance, but she got it. "Whenever you are ready, Kale." Shanks offered, to which she simply nodded in reply. "Let's do this," She told him, taking a breath.

"Begin," He said to her and Kale took off in the dash, he was there too; but she didn't pay attention. After the dash the Merry Slashes; she felt so powerful. It was amazing, the adrenaline rush she was getting; and she wasn't even fighting someone. The thrust in the end, was just so natural; she didn't think the move would be the same without it. Without warning, she did it again, faster this time. The quick dash, powerful slashes, and the final thrust. She turned on Shanks, horrified that her body had reacted that way, but he merely smiled. He'd seen it coming; it was a move that made you blood thirsty. Kale understood now, why he didn't want her to do it that often.

Shanks came over, and wrapped his arm around her, for a friendly; reassuring hug. "Don't worry about it Kale. I did the same thing, the first time. It's natural." He told her, thoughtfully. "The power, the quickness and sheer amazing feel the wind gives you as wield your sword." Kale nodded, "It was almost like..." Kale tried to think of a word that could express what it was like. "Like I was..." She paused again, it just wouldn't come to her. "Like you were unstoppable?" Shanks inquired. Kale nodded, "Something like that." He laughed, and his laugh -- was infectious, causing Kale to burst into a giggle fit. It made her feel better, like because she could laugh; the technique didn't make her a monster.

"The final thing I have to teach you --" He was cut off by Kale's quick, "Then you will divulge in your secret cape acquiring location!" He laughed, "Yes, before I divulge." He shook his head, Kale was quick to return to happiness; that was good. It was something that could keep someone going. Their pure happiness and positivity. "The final thing I have to teach you --" He began again, "Is called 'Pirate Finale'" He said with a twist of his sword for encompasses. "You look like you were going to cut a 'S' for Shanks into something." Kale murmured to which, Shanks laughed heartily. "You, have a very strange imagination Kale." He told her.

Noah cringed for a moment, he was angry that he hadn't done it right. For Noah to mess up on a move that seemed so simple was a blow to his confidence. "What did I do wrong?" asked Noah trying to act like it didn't bother him that he hadn't succeeded. "I think it was a bit light." said Bascud chuckling as he said it. "I know...." said Noah bottling up what he really wanted to say. Bascud continued to laugh lightly and then finally responded, "Let go of the handle a moment before making contact to shift some of the weight onto your legs.

"You think that's bad, you should meet Butters." She murmured, speaking of her boat. "Butters?" He questioned, but Kale just waved her hand, "Never mind." She told him, laughing and turning back to him. "Okay, Shanks; Show me Pirate Finale, so that I can be ever closer to looking as cool as you!" She told him with feign seriousness. "Oh right away!" He responded with a laugh. He moved away from her, and took stance. It was somewhere; she noted -- between the stance for the dash, and the stance for the rest of the moves. It looked awkward. Though -- if that looked awkward what she was about to see was going to be much, much worse.

Shanks paused a moment, and took a deep breath. He really kind of hated this move. It was awkward and it looked like a fury of weird attacks, almost as if the attacker was confused between what they were trying to do. Despite this little draw back, he began, dashing forwards, doing mixed moves, thrusts and uppers cuts, the slashes, everything. Kale watched in horror, that had to be the most awkward unattractive move, she'd learned yet. When he was finished he was out of breath and turned to her. "Mind you." He said simply. "It's never the same, twice." He laughed; he seemed to be sure about that, and well; as long as he had been doing the move, she imagined he was right.

"So, if it's not the same; how am I supposed to learn it?" Kale questioned with a raised eyebrow. Shanks laughed, "You pretty much know it already." He told her honestly, "The big deal about it is, knowing the rest of what I had to teach you." He shrugged. "It's a combo of all of my moves." He told her. "Yeah, it's a combination, that takes some of your more attractive moves, and turns them into this flurry of disgusting-ness." She laughed. "In fact, it kind of reminds me of my dad's favorite soup." She began, and he turned on her with interested. "Oh really?" He questioned her, "And how is that?" He seemed as though he didn't believe her.
