The man turned on the girl, "Listen to me, girl. You will learn when I teach you and not a moment before!" He yelled. Kale glared at him. "Whatever!" She whined unhappily. He turned her on. "The next is a kick!" He told her, angry about her impatience. He was planning and preparing to show her. Jumping up, he delivered a kick, after spinning through the air. Kale watched him and considered that his kick kind of look ridiculous compared to the other kicks she had learned and used before. Kale put a hand on her hip. "That's it, like a jump kick with a spin?" She questioned him.

He stared at her, "Insolent girl!" He yelled, "It's not like you could understand what I'm doing there!" He yelled, "I bet you can't do it!" He said. Kale raised an eyebrow, "Bet what?" She questioned him. "Uhm. My next move." He said seriously. She frowned and prepared her stance. His face dropped, was this stupid girl really going to try his move? Kale smiled to him and repeated his actions, jumping in the air, delivering a kick after a spin. He stared and looked to her. "Whaa.." He frowned and shook his head. "Fluke!" He called, "That wasn't the same!" He said. Kale glared. "Yes it was!" She replied unhappily.

"Let's see you do it again!" He demanded of her. Kale rolled her eyes. "This is silly; you just saw me do it. Let's just move on." She whined and he shook his head. "Nope, not until I see you do it again!" He ordered. Kale shook her head and murmured a "Fine". Preparing her stance again, she glanced to him; looking at him like it was silly that he would ask her to try it again. Jumping into the air, she spun quickly; kicking outwardly after the spin. Landing carefully she turned to him. "Now can we start on a different move?" She raised an eyebrow. "I'd like to ..." She paused, "Finish so I can seek out Laffite." She told him.

He watched her for a moment, "When you finish, I'll send him your way." He grinned a bit. "The next move is going to be a bit harder girl." He told Kale, seriously. "It's a Dynamic punch!" He told her grinning; proud of the name of his move. She stared at him and raised an eyebrow. "Okay, let's see this Dynamic punch!" She punched the air with a smile on her face. Her good attitude returned. He nodded a bit and got into stance. Stance stance stance, Kale thought to herself. He faced a tree, and when he was just close enough, he shot out his hand punching the tree, causing it to make a cracking sound. Kale watched with renewed enthusiasm.

"You see that girl? You think you can handle all of that?!" He yelled at the girl. Kale bounced excitedly. "Yes!" She clapped her hands together with pleasure. "Show me again though!" She begged. He turned to Kale happily. "Yes, I will." He told her and prepared, pulling back and punching the tree again, this time snapping it in half by the base. "Timber!" He called as the tree came falling down. Kale's eyes were large, she was super excited. "Oh my god!" She replied. "You punched it in half!" She screamed and jumped up and down. "You too will one day be able to punch a tree in half, girl!" He seemed happier now. Kale was taking a shining to his moves.

Kale nodded and watched him. "When can I try it?" She begged. "Well first." He told her. "I'm going to show you, stance, prep and swing." He told her. Kale seemed almost disappointed but nodded her head. "Alright." She agreed, the sooner she did that, the sooner she could actually try the move. Burgess came over to her, and stood behind her, pushing her legs into position and straightening her arms. He held her roughly by the wrist and pulled her arm back and then pushed it forward. "That is a normal punch." He told her, "For this punch you're going to need all the force you can muster behind it." He told her carefully. "And for that you're going to need to swing differently."

Kale nodded her head, as he moved her arm back and forth. It was kind of nice, it was helping her arm loosen up since the first punch. She glanced over her shoulder a moment and then looked back down to her arm as he began explaining how she was going to twist her arm a tiny bit when she through the punch, instead of punching straight forward like she might a normal punch. "Okay Kale. let's see you through a punch like that." He told her seriously, stepping backwards. Kale nodded and slowly through a punch, curving like she had been told. "Very good." He said, "Let me see that one more time, and try and move more quickly." He told her, to which Kale threw another punch, curving this time faster.

Kale turned towards him, "Can I try the move now boss?" She questioned him, clapping her hands together. He puffed out with proud-ness. "Why, Yes Kale; go right ahead!" He told her with a smile on his face. Kale giggled and took the stance that he had showed her and pulled back, punching outwardly with force and speed, curving like he had told her too. He watched her, noting that she had the stance down and the curve, she just needed to use her fighting spirit! "Come on Kale, put your back into it!" He yelled at her. Kale turned towards him and nodded, "Okay boss!" She yelled.

Kale turned and re-took the stance. Readiness plastered on her face. She would make her boss proud; that was for sure. She took a breath and got ready to throw the punch glancing to him and giving him a thumbs up, which he returned. Pulling her arm back she yelled out with force as she threw the punch violently. "Yahh!!" She yelled, her fist hit another tree, much by accident and it made a cracking noise. Burgess who was watching wiped away a fake tease of proud-ness. "Wow, very good!" He called pleased. "Now onto the next move!" He shouted enthusiastically! Kale was thrilled. "Yes!" She nodded.

"It's called a megaton kick!" He told her seriously. "You think you can handle this?" He questioned her. He asked her that a lot. Yes, she was sure she could handle it, why did people always think cause she's a girl she couldn't take it. She nodded her head. "Yeah, let's do it boss!" She yelled with pleasure. Burgess smiled; the girl, he noted had enthusiasm, and that was good. He liked that this girl was so extremely ready to fight and learn his moves. "Alright Kale!" He yelled puffing out. "I'll show you, and you'll copy; just like last time you got that?" Kale stared a moment and then nodded giving him a thumbs up.

Burgess puffed out as he prepared to show Kale his move. He lifted his feet, causing the ground to shake as he roughly took stance for this amazing kick. Kale watched, and it seemed (at least to her) that the man looked larger, and more vicious than he had before. She eyed him, taking in his stance; which looked awkward. Something she wasn't sure she liked the looks of. "Hurggg" She raised an eyebrow at the noise he made, it was strange and un attractive and inwardly she wondered if she would have to copy it. He moved back, it seemed he was doing it slower for her sake; then raised his leg.

For a mili-second Kale sort of thought the man was going to take a pee, but then he began to show her the move. He pushed his foot out, showing the girl the kick. "You see that, Kale?" He questioned her, to which she nodded. "Yes!" She called to make sure that he could hear her. "Watch again." He demanded of her, and she rolled her eyes impatiently. She really wanted to get out of the South Blue now that she had received her Devil Fruit, and well; she couldn't do that until she completed the training here that she felt she needed. His and Laffite. Especially Laffite.

Burgess wasn't having any of her impatiens though it seemed, it seemed as though he was going to take his good old time, just to piss her off. He slowly took stance again, and Kale bit back a yell of unhappiness. He grinned and then lifted his leg once again showing her the motion. Kale's face fell and she yelled out "You cant even do it can you?" Burgess almost lost balance from the insolent talk of Kale. "Shut up girl, and watch!" He yelled. How can a bossy girl talk to him like that! It was just silly. He looked back to her and stretched slightly and then got ready.

He pushed his foot back and began the move. It was quick and to Kale it looked super-powerful. He glanced back to Kale and grinned, giving her a thumbs up. "Good, right?" Kale clapped her hands together and smiled happily. "Very nice!" She agreed watching him. "Let me see it again, so I can try it?" She asked him. "Well of course!" He cheered. He lined himself up with the tree. He slid his foot back, and looked at the tree. "Ready?" He questioned her and grinned slightly. "Huyg!" He yelled as he began the move; it was simple enough; just a very powerful kick. He kicked the tree, snapping it in half, the tree falling over. It was kind of sad really.

"Nice!" She laughed; thrilled that she would finally get to try, and that she could try something as cool as chopping a tree in half with her foot. Kale was bouncing up and down, with excitement. "Can we do this?" She begged and he came over and looked to her. "Take the stance." He waved his hand simply, turning the girl towards the tree. "Ready?" He said. "Put as much force into this kick as you can!" He told her with a grin. "And you can chop that tree in half, or rather...break some of the bark off!" He laughed loudly. He didn't know if this small girl could really cause any damage to such a large tree.
