Ailsean ~Chrest HQ, Library~
People always accused him of not paying attention to the little details. Of course, people were idiots.
Of course Ailsean noticed the small things: he noticed the gild work on the ancient book he was reading, he noticed the varied squeaks of the leather couhc he sat on with every movement. He noticed the dry air of the library, the slight taste it left in his mouth with every inhalation. And he most certainly noticed the small box at his waist blinking red.
As he reached to unclip it from his belt, he gave a slight sigh. There was a fine line between not noticing and not caring... and Ailsean liked to think that he walked that line every day of his life.
"O'Malley."
"The head wants to speak with you, O'Malley."
"Of course he does. I'll be there momentarily." He reattached the communicator to his belt, finished the sentence of the old book he was reading, closed it and stood. The librarian looked up from his post at the entrance as Ailsean approached, and gave a simple nod as the man waved the book at him, which was returned in kind.
A few minutes later, after a peaceful and uneventful elevator ride, "O'Malley" stepped into the seating area, nodded to Mirielle, and continued on into the main office.
"I trust everything is well, Sir."

Sammuel: ~Luca's Room~
Sammuel smiled. "More than mere flesh and bone? I think I've read of your kind in a book some where. But the old legends of them call then many things. Angels, Demons, Magi, take your pick. You seem to fit the bill. That's why I haven't brought you in yet-- plain curiosity."
He laughed and leaned back in his chair, arms crossed. "Plus you did something to my gun. I might need it later, so I figure you owe me an explanation."

Crosse: ~Chrest HQ. Main office~
"Sit down O'Malley"
Crosse knew his real name. But walls have ears. And it's the price those ears fetch in the black market that irked him. Besidesm, code names were there for a reason.
"I trust you have been paying attention to the recent events", I knew he had been. Ailsean liked to pretend he wasn't aware of everything that went on outside. I knew this. I also knew he was very well aware of everything. Thus, why I picked a Celestial for this particular job.
It's not that I don't trust celestial. But I hate thinking about where their allengiances lay.
I didn't let him answer. He'd just smile and nod anyways. I did not turn around to face him yet. My eyes fixed in the finite horizon that was Andel.
"We have a situation. Numerous celestials were involved in a particularly messy event this morning, near Parson's Avenue. ", I didn't wait for him to respond. It wasn't his duty to respond while being briefed. It wasn't mine to wait for his answer. He understood everything perfectly.
He was a perfect weapon.
"Now, we've got two Celestials I'm particularly interested in. One of em's a Gust*. The other one's a Brain*. The first one's a rogue celestial who seemingly has an appetite for destruction and is skilled at it too. He cares not if he attracts attention. The other one's a girl...seems to be linked to Isis.", I paused.
"I need the Gust in here. The Brain's only good if she never finds out you were near her. Intel's what I'm looking for."
"There's also the matter of another female celestial that dropped out of our radar about 30 minutes after entering the rennard Apartment Complex. See if you can find out what happened with her."
I turned around. O'Malley. Sweet, cruel O'Malley. Do you understand what I'm after?
"I need you to inflitrate Isis, O'Malley. Get me a list of their contacts, their agents, their favorite coffee. Everything!"
I took a final puff from my cigarette.
"Three assignments. Can you handle them?"
Gust*: Chrest slang for Wind Celestials Brain*: Chrest slang for Psychic Celestials

Luca: ~My room.~
"Plus you did something to my gun. I might need it later, so I figure you owe me an explanation."
Why's he getting comfortable?
"What that? That's an old trick I learned back when I was a circus freak. Like the Spoon Bending illusion.", I had to stop being so goddamn nervous and think up a way to get him out of here.
And then again I could just get clumsy
"Who was that on the phone anyways?"
"This...isn't just about that girl I just killed is it?"

Deirdre: ~Lower Level, Mytirilis Ave.~
"Hm." Deirdre smiled weakly at their increasingly dangerous situation. Though stressful, she wasn't really worried now that the decision to definitely leave had been made. She knew that Korin would act soon, taking them away with her very useful hoverboard like she had with the previous problems with the now dead Sazuko. Or at least, hopefully. "I'm hoping Korin can help. Otherwise, I suppose we do know how to run, right?"
Hiram: ~Outside Magazine Shop, Westcheston Street~
"It's Samuel, and I think the other guy's name is Luna," said Hiram gruffly, refocusing as this newcomer's voice invaded his attention.
He really was generally thankful, but the overall stress of the situation made him edgy. After all, the strong timber to this man's voice told him he was probably a strong guy he'd get along with under normal circumstances. He didn't like the fact that he couldn't see this person, that they could practically be a Celestial and he would never know! Many people, even at AGSA, told him he was paranoid, and when he began to get afraid of being paranoid it all became very confusing.
"If you could help me locate a taxi..." began Hiram again. "I'm a plain-clothes police officer, and I need to get back to my department."
Hopefully this guy isn't some thug who will have a problem with that.
Adrienne: ~Chrest HQ. Main office~
Shortly after Aislean entered, Mirielle had further company: a jovial looking young lady in a crisp business suit. Adrienne nodded to the familiar secretary, watching with an honest kind of unassuming amusement as Mirielle was obviously torn between allowing admittance to another powerful person, and insisting that Crosse was discussing personal business with an employee at the moment.
After she said that, Adrienne just tossed her hair prettily and smiled another warm, but vaguer, smile. "Oh, don't worry! I'm sure there's no personal business he wouldn't want to involve me in. I'll just knock on the door, and warn him not to give you problems about my rudeness. You did try to stop me - I'll tell him exactly that."
Still smiling, she stepped forward and gracefully and brought a couple quick, somewhat soft, raps to the office door.
With all the Celestial movement today, I'm sure Crosse would not resist the urge to take action. And although I'm sure he'll be a kind enough soul to tell me all about it later, I want to get an up close and personal look at this 'employee' he's going to use to handle it.
Besides, the move against FM needs to be staged in the coming future. An attack against the one named Thessally would be best...he's really a motivator for the organization. I always enjoy reading police reports about his activities.

Korin ~Lower Level~ Korin rocked backwards on her heels. "Okay, " she began in a hushed voice. "I lived here when I was younger. There are a few tunnels we can get back near Isis through, but we'll need to get to the tunnels. "When I say 'run,' you do it, and I'll be right behind you. Don't use any powers when you're in the shield, you'll implode. And just follow the little light in front of your eyes, don't worry about anything else." She looked around her. A thug kicked at her. She jumped back, held her breath, and screamed, 'RUN!' She cast a quick shielding spell around the three. She began to run, towards the North Wall of the Lower Level. The thugs were yelling angrily and chasing them. She took three quick turns through some of the shacks, and they had lost them. She could still hear them yelling and crashing into things. When they reached the North Wall, Korin released her spell and fell over. She brought herself up on her knees and pointed to a dark space behind a small stand-shack. "That's where the tunnel starts." she gasped.
Laurence ~Chrest HQ~ "Ah, Adrienne..." Laurence's cool and smooth voice drifted to where the woman was standing. He waltzed up behind her, shaking her hand quickly but smoothly. "What brings you here this time of day? The sudden celestial activity I suppose...?" He shook his head quickly. "It's disgusting. Something needs to be done, and something needs to be done, now." Laurence was carrying a folder, full of new ideas on how to "research" celestials. "This..." he began, with a soft chuckle, "...will be fun."
(PS @SuiZ: The water show wasn't mine, it was Mizumi's! Korin's a Light Celestial whee ))

Thessaly Outside Magazine Shop, Westcheston Street
Thessaly wrapped his arm around the officers as if he was walking a geriatric across the street. The guy was nearly as helpless as them, and perhaps even as blind. He places a few light pats with his huge hand on the officer's arm, consoling him not to worry about him and that he was there to help. Stepping to the edge of the sidewalk, he raised an arm waving at the taxi that might be vacant.
"An officer?" Thessaly took another glance at the man's face with a questioning look. "You do look familiar, my name is Thessaly, not sure if you've heard me before but I've been in and out the department for a few misdemeanors, but I'm generally in there to take your guys' trash."

SuiZ "Who was that on the phone anyways?""This...isn't just about that girl I just killed is it?" Sammuel ~Luca's Room~ "No," he said matter of factly. "She was a prime suspect in a murder case. This makes the paper work easier, since now we can blame her for the murder in retrospect when all other leads fail us, and then there is no one to prosecute because she is dead." He shifted in his seat. "Any way, it was an accident. You were trying to kill me, and I can forgive someone for missing me." He wanted to get off that, though, because it might spook Luca. "The man on the phone was a friend of mine. It's nothing to worry about. Would you mind telling me more about your powers?"

Parafli ~With the others~
As they tore through the alleys, he weaved around garbage cans and such with ease. He wasn't huffing and puffing at all, but he noted that Korin was completely exhausted. If she continued over exerting herself...
"Need a lift?"
He asked simply, surprised at himself for showing any compassion whatsoever. But he quickly regained composure, masking it with another self-centred comment.
"It's not that I care about your well being. It's that I don't need you slowing me down... if you end up passing out, that's deffinately a damper on our speed. So before you do so..."
He didn't give her time to ask what he was going to do. Instead, he bent infront of her and picked Korin up onto his back, piggy back style.
"Just give directions over my shoulder or something... and no sleeping yet, keep in mind we still don't know where we're going."
Glancing at Dierdre, he shrugged.
"Rather, *I* don't know where I'm going..."

((I'm just assuming here, but I would assume that Deirdre would have more energy than Korin, being a much more powerful celestial. But, I don't know for sure~))
Korin ~Running... places...~ As much as Korin hated to feel helpless and pathetic, she really couldn't deny a much-needed lift as of now. She needed to get home. "Thanks..." she muttered, breathless. "You're a life... you're a life saver, mate, " she managed to choke out. As they passed through the small opening in the North Wall, there was a very steep slope to the bottom. As they reached it and their eyes adjusted, it became apparent that this was not any ordinary tunnel or sewer. There were at least twenty different passages visible from they were standing. "Okay...!" Korin said, still attempting to catch her breath. "It looks complicated, but it isn't so bad, as long as you know where to go. There are even worse scum under these tunnels. "The trick is simple to get back. It shouldn't be any more than a mile to Isis. The pattern... the trick is to take the right most tunnel, then the leftmost, for about 14 times, then straight until you reach the Tri-Tunnels, take the LEFT tunnel and it's only a bit more until you can reach the manhole behind Isis. After the tri-tunnels, Deirdre might be able to give more specific directions based on streets. Deirdre...!" She waved her friend over. The Tri-tunnels "Left" is right beneath Topisent and Kinst. And don't worry, her mind's as sharp as a tack...she'll remember. Or she can tap into my subconcious, whatever... " Korin felt her eyelids grow heavy. "Here...mate." she held out her necklace. "This is the last of my energy for now, but it'll hold you until you get to Isis. " She motioned at it and it began to glow. "It's not much..." she began to say before zoning, "but it'll show you where to step. Never step on the bright blue water... it's a trap...." Korin began to drift in and out of sleep, trying (with much difficulty) to stay awake.
((You can have fun have with that, or not. Depends on how fast you wanna move the story to Isis. biggrin ))

"No. She was a prime suspect in a murder case. This makes the paper work easier, since now we can blame her for the murder in retrospect when all other leads fail us, and then there is no one to prosecute because she is dead."
Well that definately makes me feel better
"Any way, it was an accident. You were trying to kill me, and I can forgive someone for missing me."
And that...that...I'm not sure how that makes me feel...
"The man on the phone was a friend of mine. It's nothing to worry about. Would you mind telling me more about your powers?"
His partner, most likely.
Anyways. I was getting hungry. This little charade had to stop and I had to go lay down for a bit if I wanted to check out what Paraf...Para....Perererer...the kid was up to...no way I'm gonna let him wander around my town without my permission...
Damn kid.....
"More? Well what more is there to say? I focus, metal turns to mush. Is that what you wanted to hear officer? Sammy, can I call you Sammy?", I felt no need to divulge my shadow melding abilities seeing as he hadn't seen a display of that yet."It comes and goes", no need to divulge I was out of energy either. Better get him thinking I'm just waiting for the ability to come back...any time now...
Anytime now....
"So I removed a thorn from your back, failed to kill you, let you in on my little secret. What's in it for me?"

::Is it safe to assume that the Gust is Parafli and the Brain is Deirdre?::
Ailsean: ~Chrest HQ, Main Office~
"... Can you handle them?"
A humourless smile spread across Ailsean's lips. "Of course, Sir... I believe that these tasks are well within my capabilities." He did not mention to his superior that there were four tasks outlined in his orders.
A renegade Gust? He would be no problem-- the violent ones tended to... take care... of themselves. The Brain? He would have to strengthen his reflective aura to avoid detection, which would leave him slightly drained, but he had energy to spare. The disappearing abomination would be a trivial problem-- as long as her trail from the apartment complex didn't go cold, she was as good as dea-- that is, as good as found.
And as for Isis... well, that would require some planning... but Ailsean looked forward to the challenge.
"Will there be anything else?" he said, taking two steps backward to the door, which had just been knocked upon.

((Safe indeed. Those are the ones. Also, Crosse asking Ailsean to get close to Deirdre meant for Ailsean to infiltrate Isis through her...hence the three tasks xp
@Lelio: Wonderful interception!))
Crosse: ~Chrest HQ. Main office~
"Of course, Sir... I believe that these tasks are well within my capabilities."
It certainly is...I wouldn't have brought you in if I didn't trust you entirely my boy.
"Will there be anything else?"
"Actually yes there is", there is only one person in this city who knocks on my door without announcing herself.
Adrienne...you should have just stayed ni your office. I was planning on calling you anyway
"Here's a lesson you should not forget O'Malley. The head of AGSA? She's outside. Waiting for you to come out most likely. She's a manipulative harpy is there ever was one.", I said it humorously. I didn't hate her, we just lived in different sides of the fence."When you walk out, make sure she takes a long hard look at you. Laurence is already outside and he'll introduce you to her. Shake her hand energically. DON'T let her know what you are. Don't worry about her sensing you...she can't...but she's got an innate ability to spot your kind."
I wasn't afraid of her, but being one step ahead of her in this situation was priceless.
"Remember her face. Remember her clothing. Remember the way she walks. It will be useful in the future."
"Dismissed."

::Ah, I see-- I thought you wanted me to avoid Deirdre. sweatdrop ::
Ailsean: ~Chrest HQ, Main Office~
A single eyebrow raised in interest. "Very well."
AGSA...
Ailsean turned on his heel and abruptly swung the door open, greeting the faces of a man and woman who seemed to be engaging in conversation. He recognized Laurence easily-- he had taken orders from him before, and he still had that ridiculous ponytail of his hanging off the back of his head.
"Forgive me for interrupting," he said coldly to the two, "but you are standing directly in the doorway."
Ailsean made a quick summary in his mind of the woman before him. Head of AGSA? Wonderful. Chrest truly is a marvelous organization, to draw such powerful figures to itself...
He could hardly wait until he could use them to his advantage... but for the meanwhile...
He supposed he could wait-- just a little longer.
"Well?"

((Deirdre isn't necessarily more powerful, though she hasn't expended nearly as much energy yet. *nod nod*))
Hiram: ~Outside Magazine Shop, Westcheston Street~
"No, I'm a different department," said Hiram hurriedly. Thessally the name wouldn't ring a bell to him, considering he wasn't entirely knowledgeable about FM dealings, and if he did know Thessally, it was by the codename of X. He didn't like common thugs, but he generally prized people over Celestials. And at the moment, he would allow an ex-girlfriend to help him. "Thanks for your help. Is a taxi nearby?"
Deirdre: ~Towards Isis HQ~
"Thank you, Korin," said Deirdre, making sure Korin heard before she completely nodded off. Her dear friend had really come through for everyone today; after all, Deirdre still owed her for saving her with the help of that hoverboard. They were safe now though, mostly, a change that Deirdre cherished considerably.
Dutifully, she trekked towards the light. After she realized what she was doing after a moment, she couldn't help but chuckle softly to herself. This had, of course, always been what everyone had warned about - if you see a light at the end of a dark tunnel, for heaven's sake turn away. Heaven, however, did not exist on this world even in the form of metaphysical lights; suddenly saddened, she turned to her strange young accomplice as a means of divertion.
"We should be there relatively soon. So...you're a Wind, right? Korin over there is obviously a Light, and I'm Psychic - nice to meet you. How long have you known?"
Sometimes the abilities were late in coming, or at least more subdued during a younger age. Deirdre had showcased almost no abilities during her infant and toddler years.
Adrienne: ~Main Office, Chrest HQ~
Smiling brightly as Laurence came out of nowhere, she continued his line of pleasantries. "And what a pleasure to see you! How are you faring? And I see you've even got an interesting folder there...please tell me Crosse has had a look at your work! If he hasn't, you must lend me a copy to take back to my office."
Briefly when the door opened, her eyes slated in the direction of Ailslean. No Celestials were trustworthy. Never. Adrienne stepped sideways briefly. "So sorry about that!"
But her chipper disposition was soon reinstated, and she flashed a brighter smile than usual to greet her old countpart in crime.
"Crosse! We've had an exciting day! I'm sure you can't wait to discuss it. Laurence, why don't you come in with me?"
