((Had think of an excuse for my character not talking during all this time.))
Strohm had been deep in thought for a while, mentally picking out the problems he could spot and waiting to see if they could find them themselves, which they just managed to do. The only input he gave was the occasional nod or grunt when they found something or someone passed by.
Now, they seemed ready to go. He shrugged as they made it clear that Kimmy wouldn't be allowed with them and would be traveling with him. That solved the last possible problem he could see, besides possible meetings with other units, such as Abigail. "It will be more convincing if Kimmy stays with me, anyways. Only a lune would try attacking several altered on his own," he provided, then when he reached the door, "The plan seems as good as it's going to get, but I have a tip and question. I recommend being more polite to those you plan to fight, it makes less likely they'll aim for somewhere you'd rather them not. And, are you sure your ready?"

Parris glanced over at Strohm, struggling internally with a few responses to the older man. Finally, he settled on a simple on that wouldn't start anything too nasty.

Parris forced a smile, his teeth barred slightly. On closer inspection, his mouth contained several teeth that shouldn't have been in the mouth of a human (or a human-like Altered, if they were to be classified as a different race.), especially the slightly protruding, serrated, fangs. "I understand that, Strohm, believe me."

((Sorry that's so short, I just wanted him to react. Also, don't think that's he's trying to intimidate anyone, he's not. He's just annoyed.))

At last Ras had stopped her circling, and stood uncertainly in front of the boy turned dragon. He seemed friendly and clearly meant those of Retribution no harm-- or he was very good at hiding it. Either way, if he had intended on hurting her, Sam would have had the chance to try long before now. Inadvertantly holding her breathe, she slowly extended an open hand, until her fingertips were hovering just above his snout. With only a moments hesitation prior to, Ras at last let them fall upon the dragon and began slowly dragging them over the scaly surface. She reapted the motion several times, before glancing up at him. "Well... you're certainly not fuzzy. Thank you." With that she backed away from Sam, to what she considered a proper distance.

"I hope that wasn't wierd or anything."

--

Indigo nodded briskly in both Strohm's and Indigo's direction. "That makes sense about Kimmy. God, I suck at this... I've never done group field work before. As for you..." he looked side-ways at Parris as he started to tug the boy from the building, "I'm sure you hardly mind Strohm's suggestion?" He paused in his tread, and waited patiently for Kimmy and Strohm to begin following. Indigo bounced inpatiently on the balls of his feet, anxious to get a decent move on, in order to catch up to Abigal.

The boy very much resembled an over-eager puppy right now, and the sight was something to either laugh at or be disgusted with.

Sam blinked his large gold eyes at her, watching in mild anticipation, before finally her hand made contact with his armor-like scales. Surprisingly though they were warm, unlike that of a reptile. A slight sigh left him through his nostrils causing tendrils of smoke to waft up into the air, "Don't worry I don't breathe fire." He assured while he enjoyed the short petting session. After Ras had retracted away from him The Shadow slowly morphed back and ended up flopping down onto the floor. "That's enough for one day.." He murmured more to himself, staring up at the ceiling briefly, and then looked at Ras with a bit of a goofy smile.

Sam hadn't been expected to be thanked for something as simple as that, and inwardly he chuckled as he sat back up. "Weird? Love, weird is my middle name. Sooo..are you going to stay here with me? Hmm? Don't worry I don't bite...Much." Sam teased and waggled his eye brows at her then stood up going back over to get his moonshine. As he took a swig this time he glanced at her out of the corner of his eye, hoping what he said had made her blush, since that was his overall goal.

((Wanders Vlase around Retribution aimlessly. Poor guy. All alone.))

Vlase turned a corner in one of the endless halls of Retribution and paused. A place like this had to have some sort of training hall. Not normally a place he would frequent, but at this point he just wanted something to do. He would have to be careful not to let his power show more than he had already done, lest these people decide that he was a threat. You're getting more paranoid than your father when you decided to leave, Vlase... He shook his head and brushed the loose bits of hair away from his eyes (where they promptly fell back to), listening to the hum of people talking around him.

As he walked, familiar voices made their way through the noise. Some of the people that had either come in with him or met them here... Ahead, no less. He shrugged, passing by the door with no more than a sidelong glance at the people inside the room. He had been right, people he had met before.

He reached into the pockets of the coat and almost smiled. The previous owner had kept a pair of gloves in the pockets. Not bad gloves either, obviously not silk or anything, but they weren't horrible. Vlase slipped them on and set his hand on the stock of his gun, pleased to note that his hand didn't even react to the contact. Now to find a place to practice

Bailey shrugged, smiling. She was happy to see the sisters reunited. "She just showed up here. If either of you need anything don't be afraid to ask a guard or me." She grinned at both. "But, if you both will excuse me, I have someone I have to go check up on."
She departed from Ava's room and headed back toward the infirmary. She kept worrying about Trent. When she entered, the doctors had grim looks on their faces and motioned to a back room.

"You better talk to him, Bailey." A doctor said, pulling off some gloves. "He's very confused on what's going on. I don't think he knows he is an Altered."

"I will." She said, nodding. She walked into the back room and pushed open the door slowly. "Trent?"

Now that Ava was awake, she was too excited to sleep. She wanted to do something physically active.....Hey Trina! Why don't we look for some sort of training area?! Cuz right now, I really need to burn off some energy! Ava certainly looked energetic. She looked like she could start bouncing off wall any second. (right now, I'm grasping at straws for ideas, so I'm just going to go with whatever strikes my fancy until the institute people get to retribution.)

((Yeah, I'm with you there for this guy. Poor Vlase doesn't do well with others.))

After a bit more random walking, Vlase found a training area. No firing range, which was fine. Lots of punching bags around and weapons on the walls. Vlase walked over and picked up a wooden sword, smiling faintly as the gloves prevented his power from activating as soon as he touched it. He hadn't been able to pick up things that registered as weaponry in a very long time without it starting to fuse with his body.

He held the sword a little awkwardly, the difference between a weapon being an extension of your body and being like an extension of your body suddenly becoming very clear. He set the sword back on the wall and picked up a set of daggers, feeling a bit more at ease with them than the longer weapon.

He walked over to a practice dummy and slipped into a fighting pose, daggers in hand, blades pointed out. Vlase took a shallow breath and then launched himself into a quick slash/kick combo, the attacks getting more complex as he got more comfortable with what he was doing.

((I hate break it to you but Trent knows about his powers))Trent's eyes darted upwards at Bailey."Yes?" He barked sounding bitter but calmer than his previous state. He still had a blank look in his eyes. Although he was much calmer probably do to drugs... Although confusion was entirely written over his face, it still had a streak of fear. Even though he was calmer his legs restless and his right arm was shaking. Maybe perhaps this was a regular trait for him? But what was the cause?

(this is at the institute of course)

You don't remember me, but I remember you.

"Briseis..Number...?" The young doctor asked, his finger pressing down on the intercom button, and in his other hand he held a clipboard. In front of him was glass wall-bullet proof and such. The wall seperated the 'Angel' from the others outside her room. Well it couldn't be considered a room, there was nothing in it, and other than the fact that it was big there was nothing roomy about it. It was a cell. Holding Briseis, the Angel, the near 'immortal' as the scientists like to think of her as. Her eyes glanced up adbruptly from the floor to the newly appointed doctor; all her previous ones either old or dead by now. She glared then shifted before moving up to the glass, the chains of her shackles dragging along the floor behind her, "I'm not a number." Briseis snapped, slapping her hand against the glass. The doctor, startled, jumped and dropped the clipboard he was holding.

Turning away then she sat against the wall, her arm resting across her drawn up knee, and her wings strained behind her against their leather binds. Briseis didn't even look at him again when she heard him pick his clipboard up. She heard him clear his throat then, followed by the dull hum of the intercom, "Yes, well, here you are a number." He said more, repeating the question, but the 'Angel' tuned him out until finally he left. As was her goal. A heavy sigh was heaved and she turned her head to look out of her 'fish-tank'. The guards were between shifts or something so there was no one there. Briseis was alone...She shifted again and sat on her knees in front of the glass, resting her forehead, and the palms of her hands against it. "Let me out..!" She murmured before repeating it, louder, until finally she was yelling it. Pounding on the glass with her hands, "Someone let me out of here!!" She shouted over the rattling of her chains.

Sometimes I wonder if she's really the older sister..... Katerina thought, rather glad tha Ava's personality hadn't changed much. And that Ava still called her Trina (though Ava was the only one who was allowed to). Fine, we can find some sort of training area. I want to see what you can do. Katerina said, really just looking forward to something interesting happening.

Sweet! Let's get going! Ava started of in a random direction. Then she realized..... She wasn't wearing any pants. Stereotypical dream much? Ava thought, slightly amused. Ava turned back to Katerina. Before we go, I might want to put some pants on. Mind waiting for me? Ava rushed back to her room before Katerina could reply. Ava put her pants on and grabbed her staff, and was back with Katerina in about five minutes. Okay, NOW we can go!

Katerina shook her head in disbelief. Did she seriously forget to put pants on?. She wondered, not for the first time, if Ava was really two years older than her. Katerina walked with Ava in a random direction. She wasn't planing on using her telepathy until they were hopelessly lost. This was not necessary though. Katerina and Ava reached a large training area without any crisis. Hey Ava, I'm going to practice by myself for a bit, okay? Not really listening or caring for a response, Katerina looked around by herself. As she wandred, Katerina noticed a man with black hair practicing with a pair of daggers. Right away she could tell he hadn't had a ton of experience with daggers. You do know that you're using them wrong, don't you? She said walking up to the man.

((I can't help it, Vlase feels tall... You'll see in a minute, I promise.))

Vlase paused and stepped away from the practice dummy, turning slowly to face the girl that had addressed him. He peered down at her from under his bangs and six feet. His eyes quickly turned from mild anger to annoyance to simply 'blah'. The girl seemed younger than him, not like that in itself meant anything. In reality, his own father looked to be around Vlase's age, so we see how well that worked.

"I have an excuse." He answered simply, dropping his arm to his sides and loosening his grip on the daggers. After how the leader's daughter had jumped him, Vlase was trying almost a little bit to not look like he was trying to start fights.

In all honesty, his voice wouldn't be described as 'gruff', just cold and unfriendly. Which was how it was supposed to go. He wasn't looking for friends here. Allies maybe, friends, not a chance.

His eyes drifted away from the one that had addressed him and to the other she had come with. It was one of the ones that they had come in with, he remembered, absently wondering if she would recognise him without such distinct hair. Vlase's eyes snapped back to the girl in front of him, waiting for her to say something else or leave.
