Riley & Faran Faran jumped back, learning from the first time what was coming when he watched Neo concentrating. This time the Focus Blast didn't hit him head on, but instead brushed against his side. He grinned at the improvement and dashed forward again since he couldn't pin Neo down from far away, now could he? He gathered momentum, hitting the Riolu with another Quick Attack like he had the first time, hoping this time to catch him off guard again. Faran was having the time of his life, never having been able to play like this before, and he didn't want it to stop. It was fantastic the energy he felt running through him and the thrill of the fight!
Riley continued to watch them, true they hadn't worn down yet but there was only so much energy that two young Pokemon could have. The fault of younger Pokemon was that they often spent all their energy up at once. The Eevee got to his paws once more to get a closer look, things were heating up again.((Hmmm, I don't know. We could have Gaia generate a random number, like flipping a coin? If you want to call one or two next post then I'll generate the number in my following post and whoever has the number wins.))

Neo & Max Another Quick Attack. Neo managed to brace himself a bit more against this one. He was having a great time. He spun around, trying to use the flatter end of his dog-like tail in an Iron Tail attack, hoping to produce a bludgeoning effect. He felt his tail collide with Faran, and was tempted to shift to his favorite move, Blaze Kick, before he remembered that would do no good against a Fire-type opponent.
Max watched eagerly, hoping his partner would come out on top. It wasn't anything against Faran, it was just team loyalty. ((Makes sense. I'll call 2.))

Riley & Faran Faran felt the blow of the Iron Tail being used on him with surprise. Hey, that was that move that he'd used on the dummy, right? He jumped back again, slightly bruised but not in too bad of shape. He nipped at Neo's tail but wasn't quite able to get it, jaws closing on thin air as the Riolu moved back. He ducked down low and aimed another Ember up at Neo, this one would be harder to block. Then in one more fluid motion the Vulpix sprang forward, placing his paws against the Riolu's and beginning to grapple with him. This way one or the other would manage to gain the upper hand, and Faran hoped it would be him, if luck was on his side.
Riley saw what Faran was doing and smiled, the boy knew a thing or two. The Team would be pleased to hear about this, no matter what the outcome when they got back. Regardless of what would happen, things looked to be getting into their final moments though, so Riley padded over to Max, "Let's go in an get a better look," he encouraged the Ralts, then he paused and turned to him again. "Oh hey, I could use that," he said, putting his paw behind Max and bringing it back with a white cloth held in it, he winked and transferred the cloth to his mouth to walk over close to the two battlers. Yes, the magician couldn't help showing off whenever he saw the chance. Riley contentedly stood a few feet away, eyes locked on the battlers, here was where it came to a close.

Neo & Max Not Ember again! Neo was too close. He managed to erect a weak Aura barrier, but it did little good as the balls of fire pelted his fur. The next thing he knew, Faran was tussling with him. But Neo had an advantage here, bipedalism. Whilst quadropeds were harder to knock over on all fours, Faran was only on his hind paws, his front two were being used to push against Neo. This messed up the Vulpix's balance. So Neo responded with a move he had seen in a fight between a Machop and a Growlithe back home. He stepped foreward with one foot, placing it behind Faran's back paws, and then used that foot to trip the Vulpix, pushing against his opponent with all his might and forcing him down to the ground, with Neo on top of him. Placing his knee against Faran's chest, he waited for Riley to declare him the winner.
Max was about to ask Riley how he'd done that, but got distracted by Neo's judo-style takedown. He was an impressive martial artist. Max was excited. With Neo's close range attacks and his longer range Psychic-moves, they were going to prove to be a heck of a team.
((Would've stretched it out, but I figure it's about time for Team Zenith's first mission. I'll probably pick one up and start writing a little later today.))

Riley & Faran Okay, mental note, when you are a quadruped, it is not a good idea to stand up on two legs. Faran didn't realize exactly how difficult this would be until he was actually in the process of it. As it was, he had to focus as much energy on staying in the awkward standing position as he did on trying to push Neo over. The little Vulpix's hind paws didn't want to support all of his weight, and he ended up using Neo as a partial handicap to keep himself up. Still, despite his enormous disadvantage, Faran kept at it, not willing to back down from his own idea. He pressed and pressed against Neo's paws, but the Riolu just had too solid of a stance; when Neo pulled the trick with his paws, Faran was on his back as fast as an Abra can Teleport. Still Faran didn't give up, he struggled and beat against Neo with his paws as hard as he could, making the Riolu hard pressed to keep his knee on top of Faran's stomach, but in the end it just wasn't enough.
"The fight is over!" Riley declared decisively, his right paw holding the white cloth and raised up high, "The victory goes to Neo!" The Eevee had patiently counted out the seconds in his mind, and Faran just hadn't been fast enough to break Neo's hold. Riley did have to admit the grapple had been a clever idea, but Faran needed to learn a bit more about walking on two paws before it would work. He nodded pleasantly, "Nicely fought you two."
Faran looked up at Neo with a sigh but smiled again, "That was GREAT!" he crowed, then frowned. "Hey...Want to let me up?"((Totally understandable. You're fine.))

Neo & Max Neo pushed himself back onto his feet, allowing Faran to get up. He was breathing heavily. "That..." he panted, "Was the best fight...I've ever been in..." He offered to shake paws with Faran, "Your team needs to start taking you on missions!" He said enthusiastically. "Speaking of which, maybe Max and I should go do our first mission. Whaddya think, Riley? Are we ready?" The Riolu was eager to get out there and start exploring. Of course he'd need to get rested up first.

Riley & Faran Faran scurried to his paws immediately once he was given the chance, he wasn't too fond of lying on his back, it was hard to do...well anything really without access to his paws. He shook himself out in a manner similar to that of a dog, still smiling; it was just a practice match, so it didn't really matter who won or lost, besides, Neo was older than him, so when he got older, he'd be sure to become big and strong too. Then maybe they could have a rematch and he'd show him how much better he was after more practice. When Neo proferred a paw, Faran looked at it inquisitively and then realized what he wanted and awkwardly raised a paw to shake with his new friend. "Same here," he replied happily, "It was great!" He looked down modestly when Neo suggested him going on missions, "Thanks..." he said shyly, and looked at Riley for confirmation.
Riley laughed, throwing the cloth that he'd produced from nowhere into the air. "We'll see," he assured Faran, "I'll talk to Era about it." Not Ethfael though, if the Dragonair heard that from anyone but Era he'd probably refuse. "At any rate..." he commented, glancing up at the cloth which was suspended in thin air, "That's enough of that." He pointed his paw up at it and the cloth vanished without a trace. Looking then to the eager expression on Neo's face, he nodded agreeably, "Yeah, I think you two can handle yourself out there," he said, looking them over, "It can be kind of tough, but just keep a steady paw and faith in what you're doing and you'll be fine. Make sure to rest up first though, and pack lots of food and Oran Berries. You'll be great, I'm sure of it." So long as they didn't get themselves in too over their heads he thought the kids should be able to handle themselves. Now, if it was anything like what the mission he'd posted and his Team Leaders had helped him with, then he'd be concerned, but hopefully they'd take something nice and easy that wouldn't be anything like that.

Neo & Max Neo nodded. "We'll do our best," He started to walk out of the training area, "Thanks for the great battle! Wish us luck!" the Riolu called back as the two young Pokemon made their way to the mission board.

Riley & Faran Faran waved excitedly, eyes shining with excitement for his friend, "Good luck! Have a great time, and come visit sometime if you want!" he called to the receding figures of Neo and Max, "See you around!" The Vulpix watched them until they had disappeared, and then turned back to Riley with a sigh, "If they can go on missions why can't I huh?" he asked, "They're Leaders of a Rescue Team even!"
Riley shook his head, patting his young charge gently on the head, "They're a little older than you for one thing-" he began.
"But not that much older, right?" the Vulpix protested.
Riley sighed, "No, not that much older," he concented, "But the missions that our Team goes on are dangerous for someone as young as you, or even as young as them. You know it yourself, Phione can't even go out and he's older than you."
Faran pouted sllightly, "But Phione's different," he argued, "He can't even talk! Besides, I could handle it, I promise. Please can I go next time, oh please!!!!!"
"I already told you I'd ask Era, didn't I?" Riley replied. The Eevee deftly changed the subject, "Anyways, great fight out there! The grapple idea was really good, I bet if you had more grip in those back paws of yours, you'd definitely have gotten him!"
Faran's eyes widened with surprise at the complement, "Really? Do you think so?"
Riley nodded, gesturing with his tail in the direction back toward the Team Room. "I'm almost sure of it," he replied with a smile, "I'll give you some lessons on two-legged fighting if you want, that way you can get him next time for sure!"
"Awesome!" Faran said cheerfully, "Can we start now?"
Riley shook his head, starting to pad back to the entrance. "I think you need a break from all your tussling Faran," he said with a smile. "Besides, we have to tell the Team all about what you did, now don't we?" Faran grinned and ran to catch up with Riley, following excitedly as the returned home to tell of his epic battle.

Iris "Skittles"A Ponyta with a rainbow colored mane stumbled into the training field, after s/he escaped the confines of her team room. S/he didn't know why Isis always kept her/him close by but Iris just felt cooped up.
Looking around the new area s/he found herself in her/his eyes widened, it looked as if this place was used to fight or something. What was it called again? Oh yes, training!
Training sounded like it would be fun and Iris happily bounced up and down, now how did one train? The Ponyta guessed you did something...but s/he couldn't figure out what.
Iris then noticed what looked to be a white target...thing.
Maybe she should practice on that? Wouldn't she get in trouble though? What if it wasn't a target thing and was someone who was sleeping instead?! That'd be bad. Chewing her/his bottom lip some the Ponyta then nodded as she opened her mouth and let out a flamethrower attack on the training dummy.
The dummy was soon enveloped in rainbow colored flames which made Iris stare in amazement, "That's pretty!" S/he said teetering with excitement.
In his/her excitement s/he noticed s/he was now floating and stared at the ground a bit scared. S/he knew she had something called a TM given to her/him by Isis but wasn't sure what it did besides make her/him float when excited.
Testing the move out she totally forgot about the still burning training dummy and started to test moving.
This was scary...

Victor Jax The pair from Team Chivalry entered the training area, both have completely different looks on their face. The Charmander seemed rather excited to be there, while the Nincada looked like he would much rather be somewhere else. "See! I told you I would find it!" said Victor rather loudly to the bug Pokemon, looking proud of his accomplishment. "Yeah, we found it... only took an hour..." mumbled Jax, who began to look around the area. The place it's self wasn't very crowded thankfully, providing plenty of open targets for them to practice on. "I think we should t-" before he could finish, Victor had let out a Flame Burst at the nearest group of targets, instantly igniting not only the dummy he was aiming at but the one next to it as well. "Ha! Perfect shot!" said the Charmander, once again looking proud of himself.
"Pretty easy to hit a target that can't move..." the Nincada opened his bag and dropped a book down on the ground next to the Charmander and began to look through the pages. "There has to be some kind of strategy we can practice on a stationary target.." Jax said to himself, quickly skimming every page as Victor let out another Flame Burst at some more dummies. Seems as though Victor would be fine with just lighting dummies on fire, thought Jax with a sigh, wondering if that's really all he had planned to do.( First post is always the hardest! )

   Harumi - Victor - Aiden
Aiden and Victor took point, waling into the field and glancing around. Behind them, Harumi was blithering and sputtering, obviously heartbroken about the loss of her necklace. "So, why's Harumi so torn up? She never wears the thing, and I thought she hated her dad...?" Aiden muttered quietly to the Scyther next to him. "I'm guessing there are memories attached to the necklace, Mister Aiden. Memories that Miss Harumi doesn't want to lose." "Nnngh... I h-hope it's here..." The Eevee whimpered. "Come on, guys! Split up and look for it! If you find a thief, beat him up and make him tell me where it is!" Aiden and Victor looked at each other and shrugged before splitting off in the field. All three of them then began to search for any stolen artifact or thief.

Harumi, Victor and Aiden's initial search would prove to be in vain. Much to the youngest member's despair, the training field was completely empty aside from the usual equipment and the single team. It seemed, at first, that Harumi would have to search elsewhere to find her lost necklace. Fortune, however, would prove to be with them.
As the group collected themselves to leave they would find, standing near the entrance, a lone Furret looking very anxious and carrying a large sack. That was a little bit suspicious, maybe.

   Harumi - Victor - Aiden
Harumi began to get disheartened as her necklace didn't seem to show up. They would have to just look harder! "Dropkick! Contact, east entrance!" VIctor's voice suddenly boomed. Both Harumi and Aiden ran to where the sound had come from. Victor was by the entrance, glaring at a sack-wielding Furret. The Scyther's scythes were edged to the side in order to show off their blades. "Hehe..." Aiden snickered as he took a step toward the Furret. "This is a state of emergency, big guy. I'm afraid we're gonna have to search that back of goodies y'got there. You'll have to stick around, too~"
