STAGE 1 GO! 11, 19, 10, 16, 1, 16
Mitsu couldn't believe she was doing this. She came to stand at the starting point in the course starting at all the obstacles before her. There was no way she could do this.
Swallowing hard the lycan tried to prepare herself to start. This was a timed course which seemed to add all the more pressure on her. Not that speed was an issue but it looked like some climbing would be involved.
Grimacing the signal was given and Mitsu began. The beginning of the course went surprisingly well. Mitsu was able to jump from surface to surface on the Sextuple Step fairly easily, and though it scared her to death she clung to the rolling log like her life depended on it.
She had slipped from the log once it had come to a stop, prying her claws free, before moving to her next obstacle. The trampoline was a bit more iffy but somehow by the grace of Jack she was able to make it passed that and onto the blades of death. Despite how scary the obstacle had seemed it held nothing to the warped wall. Why the warped wall and not something like the blades of death? Well, Mitsu suffered from an intense phobia of heights. To a paralyzing degree. Somehow nothing quite matched the height of this particular obstacle.
The lycan stood at the base of the wall staring up into what seemed like forever. Where was the top? Huff Puff....it was so high. Time was running short though and Mitsu had made it this far so....yes she would try. She started to climb up and up until she felt like she must surely be ten feet off the ground. In reality she hadn't made it far but that didn't keep her from freezing on the spot her body going rigid with fear. The wall was not kind to her as she began to panic and lost her grip and in the end finally plummeted into the water below with a yelp.
((Fail))

STAGE 1 GO!
Freya hopped into the obstacle course, waited for the buzzer, and she was off. She looked pretty damn graceful as she jumped from step to step, and wrapped her arms around the rolling log to take it all the way down.
The jumping skitter was a fun challenge, and she hopped up on the trampoline, just barely managing to catch herself between the walls. But she did it! And with a loud cry, she moved on to the blades of death. They did not live up to their name, this time around!
"Aiya, Hel! You better be watchings!" She called out, as she got to the edge of the curved wall, and ran at the other end, until her hands latched on to the edge and she climbed up. She waved to her sister, grabbed the tarzan rope, and-
The world swiveled around on her as she lost her grip, and was dumped promptly on the ground. Whoops.

STAGE 1 GO!
Failure? FREYA DID NOT FAIL! Freya was so disoriented from failing at the very end of the obstacle, that she tripped on her second try, falling right off the sextuple steps.
...Nobody better have seen that one.

STAGE 1 GO!
No. This was totally not happening! That obnoxious boil was probably watching - HEL was watching! She couldn't fail like this, not like this!
Freya's confidence was shot, and it was visible in her actions. She no longer looked like she was taking each obstacle with confidence. Instead, she barely made it through each one - but what mattered was that she DID make it.
And when her feet slammed down on the end of the finish line, her confidence surged back into her.
"FREYA WINS!"
Just Stage One, Freya. Don't get penisy kid.

STAGE 2 START!
But she was getting cocky, and as she burned her way through the second stage, it was only getting worse. Freya flipped, gripped, and slid her way through all six stages, finally lifting those walls at the very end with a loud, boisterous grunt. She was practically screaming in glory when the 110 pound wall flipped over, letting her bounce through the finish line.
"UNSTOPPABLE!" She cried out hoarsely, barrelling her way straight to Stage Three. That free food was hers. She could already taste it.

STAGE 3 BEGIN!
The first step was to grab onto the rails of the rumbling dice, and move them forward. One could hear the epic grunting of a valkyrie from far off, as she groaned with each push. She was enjoying this, it was a real challenge! But all too soon, it was over.
Up and down the devil steps she went, without much of an issue. She swung through the jumping bars, pedaled her way across with the arm bike, and grabbed a hold of the cliff hangar..
But her fingers slipped and lost the hold, falling with a splash into the pool. "NO!" She bashed her fists against the water, practically ready to hissy fit.
Instead, she got out, shook herself off, and stormed back to the concession stand, ready to take her lumps like a man.

STAGE 1 GO!
Christof had taken his time coming back to the course, partially because he felt Jericho could handle things on his own, and partially because he was too worried he'd notice too many loose screws or bolts along the way and hold everything up. As he crept his way through the milling, cheering crowds of students, though, he was relieved to see it all seemed to be holding up.
He relaxed a little, glancing at the lines. Well... well, there was no harm in... a little test? To make sure it was structurally sound...
Holding his breath, he waited his turn, and before he knew it, he was standing on the starting platform wearing a very terrified expression. He took a moment, drawing in a deep breath before catching sight of his new... acquaintance.. Freya walking from the water at the far end of the course... very very wet. His face flushed.
He had incentive.
He shrugged off his coat, praying no one was watching as he freed his third arm- he'd probably need it, setting it and his scarf on the edge of the platform and made sure his shoes were tied.
There was the starting buzzer- HELL'S! BELLS! and he was off, leaping forward into the air-
Only to remember he wasn't so good on his feet. A muffled, strangled yelp and he scrambled to find footing along the little platforms, but one leg was STILL a bit off, shorter than the other, no matter how hard he tried to replace it. The bottom of his boot caught water, but he somehow managed to flop his way into the safe zone without getting wet. A close call! No time to pant, onto the next before he ran out of time-
A log. Well, at least he was good at gripping. Carefully, he wrapped all three arms around the thing, and was just finding his footing when the thing whirled down it's track. Somehow, he managed to hold on, even if his legs came free and the onlookers could hear a dim, wobbling howl of terror before he tumbled on his hunch in the next safe zone. How... how had he... no time to think, onward!
Suddenly, there was no platform under him at all, and he was dropping- AH NO WAIT- the ground gave under him and he was launched back into the air before he even registered he had hit a trampoline, and it was by sheer luck that his flailing allowed him to catch himself in the nook up above. His eyes opened, one at a time. Right. Right. He had built this. He could do this. Carefully, just a few inches at a time, he hobbled his way through. He knew the measurements. One of the panels was starting to wobble, he'd have to go back and tighten it up when he was done. Down into the next safe zone, and his confidence was boosted. Was Mistress watching? Was she even here? No time to scan the crowd-
Over the blades, he seemed like he was floating, tapita tapita- he needed to lubricate that middle one- look at him! He wondered if he was the most graceful Igor ever built for just a moment.
Still feeling confident, he lowered his head as he got to the large, curved wall. He could do this. He could DO this. Hobbling as fast as his permanent limp would allow, he was slow but steady gaining speed, inertia working in his favor as he suddenly leaped- arrrg... his legs were definitely not his strong point, his right arm swinging, but missing the top, but as he started to drop, his left which was thankfully much longer managed to grab a hold of the edge- Oh, thank Fear... shaking, he hauled himself up. Almost. There...
This was it. The last obstacle... his confidence waned as he stepped forward to take the rope into all three hands. Just... swing and climb. He was good at ropes, he used them all the time this would be ok... swallowing, he stepped off the platform. He was flying! Swinging through the air and for a peaceful moment, his exposed little useless wing caught the air and sent a wave of pleasure down his crooked spine until a net suddenly scraped against his face. Flinching, he leg go of the rope, clawing at the net frantically as he almost fell into the water-
Relief poured off of him as he managed to keep hold. Running out of time!!! Frantically, he climbed his way up and almost collapsed at the end.

STAGE 1 GO! (Attempt 1)
After being carted back to the challenge by her sister, Hel was eager to show Freya what she’d acquired here at the Academy thus far.
Call it performance anxiety. She was so excited. Too excited, to show off to Freya, that she failed on the first obstacle and fell right back into the pool.

Once again, she got too excited in the presence of her beloved sister.
Feeling the rush from conquering stage one with Freya watching, Hel immediately dove right into stage two. She was met with disaster. Once again, she messed up on the first obstacle, and went plummeting into the pool below.

STAGE 2 START! (Attempt 3)
Oh…but she did mess it up once more in front of her dear sister.
Hel was nearly beside herself. This was the third time she had to stop because she had exhausted all her tries. The reaper climbed out of the pool and rubbed the back of her neck. Great. Just great. After watching Freya go through her runs, the valkyrie ghoul stomped her way back to the concession stand.
It would be on again tomorrow, Course. Same time, same place.

STAGE 1 GO!
Hel had made some valiant attempts. Freya hooted and hollered as loud and obnoxiously as she could, and cringed every time she watched her sister fall. She wanted to fly out there and catch her sometimes, but that wasn't how she treated Hel. The ghoul was proud, and brave, and strong - and none of these characteristics would have cropped up if Freya had babied her little sister.
So she watched the ghoul take her punches, just as Freya had, and cracked her knuckles when it was her turn.
"All rights, obstacle course. Prepare to have your wits blown." She was sure it had been softened up by her sister's attempts, and she breezed through all of the obstacles with loud, noisy grunts. Finally, she rolled to the end, and huffed as she caught her breath.
Was the baby boil watching? He'd better be, because that was what she was really about.
