The barrier would change as if on a whim as it curls around her to form a protective bubble. Something that would bounce off the waves even as she shifts her attack again turning it from a defensive to an offensive attack as the bubble would be pushed forward at her opponent.

A bubble filled with her pain, her hurt, she was going to force her emotion upon that steelix and make him feel the full power of her confusion.

In response Genn would provide a single odd defense against the Girafarig's attack. Staying exactly where he was, the Steelix would rather casually lift his tail from behind him, arcing it around and moving the sharpened tip toward toward the bubble. His in attention was to pop it much like one would a balloon with a pin.

f the bubble burst, the Girafarig's emotions would certainly be proven for the petty little things they were.

((....of course...))

(12 -1 + 15- 14 = 12/2 = 6 + confusion - and it seems you have my luck.)

It is a foolish thing to under estimate the power of emotions as that tail went inside her pain, anguish, powerlessness ...every emotion she had felt since this battle collided against him. Skewing his perspective of right and wrong even as it weaken him physically.

This girafirag wasn't going down easily as she would breathe heavily as sweat ran down her body as she held herself strongly despite the pain as she started to cloak her self once more in her psychic power as she tries to make herself invisible to his confused senses.

Raven would grit his teeth slightly, things were quickly going from bad to worse...but they weren't beaten yet. He had options other then the Steelix, and for once it seemed a wise decision to make use of them.

Placing the wood pile upon the ground and reaching over to relieve Fable of the burden of the Seviper, the boy would soon recall Genn. In a flash of light the Steelix would disappear from the battlefield, and at his Trainer's gesture a Charmander would take the titan's place.

Standing his ground, tail lashing from side to side, the watching the Girafarig closely. A flame flickered in those blue eyes now. He'd watched the Psychic-Type throughout this whole fight, he knew what she was capable of. The Girafarig on the other hand no next to nothing about the Charmander.

Starter Pokemon: Charmander [M]
Name & Level: Fable, Lv 6
[Temperament] Quiet
Bio: Raven first met Fable during his time living on the streets, finding the fire-tailed reptile in one of hundreds of alleys he'd been in. Battered, beaten, and bloodied, it was clear the Charmander had seen it's fair share of battles...and lost every single one. He bit Raven only five seconds after their initial encounter. Fable had lost all trust in humanity. Raven was never fully aware of the details, but the Charmander's former trainer had been abusive. He'd placed him in battles with impossible odds, expecting him to combat and defeat opponent after opponent with little to no rest...and when he lost, it was his trainer whom would personally add to the reptiles injuries. Finally tired of wasting his time on "some worthless newt" his trainer had abandoned him in the dirtiest alleyway he could find and just left him there. The boy hadn't even given him a name...at least not one he cared to repeat.

For days after that first encounter Raven returned to the alley, usually meeting with the same result; yet still he kept coming, sometimes he even brought food. It was generally scraps most likely out of the garbage, but it was food none the less. One day the Charmander finally asked why the child kept returning...not with words of course, but with his eyes. The curiosity at the boy's actions were clear in the reptiles gaze. Raven had said he saw a fire in Fables eyes that day when they first met, the desire to become truly powerful. More time passed after that, but the only thing which mattered after that point was the outcome. Even without a Pokeball the Charmander decided to follow the boy from that day forward, even earning the name Fable in the process. Raven would speak of spending the reward money on new clothes and a bath, but what was consistently leave out was the purchase of a single Pokeball. There was no need. Even without it, Fable would follow his trainer to the depths of hell and back.

The switching of pokemon as one disappeared and another took his place reminded her fiercely of her hatred of their kind. She would shuffle three of her hooves while leaning to then side so that the fourth and final one would find some relief at them moment.

The bone in the hind one stuck out as blood from the wound flow freely.

(bring as many as you like to this party their fates will be the same)

She almost roared in response to it all as she sent out another confusion towards the charmander.

To those words the Charmander would snuff slightly, eyes narrowing ">The Master says only the weak believe in fate<" Fable spat, tail flickering behind him as he began to grow steadily larger. He hadn't give himself over to the rage just yet, but it was clear enough to see that it was building up already. It was only a matter of time...

Claws scraping against the ground beneath his feet, the Fire-Type would resort to perhaps the simplest of all defences. Leaping to the left, the reptile would tuck and roll in an attempt to simply dodge the oncoming attack. Of course only chance would decide whether or not such a maneuver would actually work.

It would be close, so close that his scales would be able to feel the burn that would have going through him his that confusion would have hit. The move ....twirling ...twisting as it hit a tree behind him and bent and warp the poor plant so much that it was hard to tell if the tree had originally been straight or if it had spent it's entire life tied as a note.

The Girafirag was still breathing had as she drop her head and horns towards him and prepared her own defense for what might be coming next. Her hind leg continued to b e held off of the ground ...as she knew that the next attack would be quickly approaching.

Rolling upon his feet, Fable would snuff slightly as he rose. Claws held in tight fists, the Charmander would stand their silently for a moment as he took in the sight of his opponent. This was a Pokemon that fought out of petty emotions, developed for the wrong reasons or channelling the wrong way. Either way her emotions were weak, her conviction fragile. Fighting one human, even if she won, would not bring about whatever she desired...not truly. Raven fought for strength, a broad goal...but one with purpose.

...For now however, the only focus needed to be the strength itself. All other bridges would be crossed when they came to them, and if need be burned at their backs.

The flame at the end of Fable's tail flickered violently, increasing in size within the span of a few short moments. Yes...he was determined to see Raven gain the strength he desired. The boy was the only human, the only being in truth, to ever trust in his power, or that he might one draw soar to greater heights...

Fable clenched his right fist tighter, his heels digging into the soft soil beneath his feet. No, he would not let Raven down; not like he had the others. This Girafarig would go down in flames...this whole forest would burn if it needed to...

All at once the Charmander's flame would go from a blaze to an inferno at his backside, his blue eyes tainted red by his building rage...

Claws would dig into the earth as the Fire-Type darted, barrelling forward at the Girafarig with recklessly. Blackened scales coated thickly with natural oils would pass through the Charmander's tail flame, igniting and burning brightly. Smoke rose as the excess oil popped and crackled, but Fable paid it no heed. His focus was the Psychic-Type before him and nothing else.

He would see her burn in crimson blaze, her eyes and heart filled with dread. Death would embrace her in a world of flame, and it would all begin with this single Fire Punch!

Girafirag (f)
lvl: 5/Naive
Hp: 16/23 Pp: 25 Att: 14 Def: 13 Spd: 16 Sp att: 15 Sp Def: 11
Moves: Tackle, Confusion, Power Swap, Recycle
Capture roll: 17

Surprisingly enough the Girafirag would managed to feint the attack ....as she shift her weight to the right, the flaming fist passing within inches of her snout ...as she would twist hard on two of her hooves as she would aim to hit the Charmander on the side of his body with her own tackle. Her attack more of a stumble than an charge.

It was a foolish male that looked down upon the emotion of a female.

Petty emotions were a woman's weapon of choice. Things that seem shallow and weak to a male have been reasons women had set them to war to die or to conqueor in the the past.

Those emotions that are said to be petty are very strong and sharp weapons indeed and when couple with a psychic type pokemon ...it was made even worst.

Fable would give a vicious growl as he passed by the Girafarig, the flames encasing his arm failing to so much as lick the beast's black and yellow fur.

As he had before the Charmander would roll in an attempt to evade the Girafarig's attack; but as he rolled he would pass his left arm through the flame of his tail, igniting it like the first.

When he came to a halt, however brief, the Fire-Type would slam both arms down upon the ground, igniting the grass and for a brief instant create a thin wall of flame. It wasn't something which could physically block the attack; but most Pokemon would think twice about passing through a wall of fire.

Though it was petty emotions that drove her attack ...flames were nothing before her and her tunnel vision. Besides, she wasn't so much charging at that moment as falling and gravity is a very strong lady indeed.

The attack would catch the Charmander as she landed pretty much on top of him with her tackle as she would push off with her front hooves to get her body back off of the ground.

It was quite shocking to thing that such a pokemon was giving them the run for the money that she was as she would get back to her feet, but seeing her opponent down she would take a few moments to try and gain more distance once more. The further away she was from her opponent the better off she was, but thanks to the fact that she was working with only three legs the distance couldn't be too far as she turns to put her back to the trees and formed the purple barrier in front of her for her own defense.

Raven scowled as he watched the conflict. Barely had it begun and already it was going poorly for the Charmander. For a moment the boy considered recalling Fable, bring Genn back onto the field. His time in the Pokeball, however short would surely have refreshed the Steelix's confused mind.

For a moment longer he would hesitate...then put his hand to rest. No, one move did not a battle make. This fight was far from over, and the Charmander still very much had a chance at victory. If nothing else, it wouldn't be long before the Fire-Type left his mark.

Scales rough and orange would grate against bark as Fable slid down the side of the tree he'd collided with. Singeing the tips of grass around him, the Charmander's tail flame would abruptly decrease in size. Not a sign that his rage had dwindled, but rather a symbol of poor health in his kind.

Grunting slightly, gritting fangs in his mouth, the Charmander would rise. Eyes still flickering red, a deep, menacing Growl would come from the Charmander's throat.

The girafirag was master of this area for a reason and it was becoming much clear what that reason was as she ignored the sound before a light purple aura would surround him.

Her eyes narrowed as she uses confusion.

A much lighter Pokemon she would be able to throw him far and hard if she got him off the ground as she aim her throw for a tree further away.

Eyes a blazing red, the Charmander would simply hold his ground. Weight had nothing to do with it. Confusion was a contest of the mental, not the physical. The Psyhic-Type felt a great many things which powered her attacks, but in the end how would she truly fair against pure blinding rage?
