Jason was now gawking at multiple things. First of, what whats Solia doing with a boombox? What kind of music was she playing? (Oh well it was Justin Timberlake, at least it wasn't Justin Bieber). Not to mention her outfit was...well he didn't know if it was formal, but she looked good in it. And then the boombox was split in half and he had a miniature heart attack because who threw the dagger. Oh god was it Caelius? It proably was, and if she kept annoying him.... "Solia!" He motioned for her to come over so he could hopefully distract her from doing anything else to annoy the murderous division leads. And then he saw Rep. In traditional Scottish attire. He was surely tempted to ask Rep if he could play bagpipes.

Jordan wasn't precisely late. He was here before the briefing had started. That counted. He'd been on minipet duty, having taken somebody else's shift on in return for a favor, and after he'd escaped, he'd had to shower before he could get dressed, because, well ... minipet poop. He'd dug out the suit he kept in the back of the closet. It wasn't often that there was occasion to wear formal clothes in their line of work, but you never knew. It was wiser to be prepared. After some internal debate, he'd added the tie pin with the small blue crystal. It helped the outfit feel more natural, somehow. The crowd of hunters in suits and dresses was pretty impressive, actually. There were a few people in more questionable outfits - someone had an orange jumpsuit on, and Jordan's eyebrows arched; he hoped that Caelius wasn't feeling like getting blood on his formalwear, because that was a dangerous risk to take - but on the whole, everyone looked pretty good. The outer space dress that Mimsy was wearing was striking and impressive, and Jordan did a brief double take at Jerry, who had apparently received and heeded some decent fashion advice and actually had a couple of girls hanging on him. However, the main focus of his attention was, predictably, reserved for two individuals whose fashion choices he had a personal interest in. Both Harrison and Rep had managed to get into actual formalwear this time, and both of them looked pretty damn amazing. Jordan sidled over to them, smiling. "Looking good," he said, and took a moment to get a good look.

Bix showed up in a slightly tight suit. He'd packed on some muscle since he'd last worn it... but it was the only suit he had. Complete with chucks.

He read the text several times over, wondering if this was how he was supposed to feel; if the knots in his stomach, the tightness of his chest, the nervous anxiety curling inside of him were normal symptoms of...well, whatever it was that he was feeling when it came to Stormy.
He hated feeling so indecisive. Gale's fingers smoothed over the screen of his phone, hesitating briefly before he typed out a small reply.Ol-j-man Text to Stormy:Good. I'm glad you're feeling better. He chewed on his lower lip, paused, and added some more.Ol-j-man Text to Stormy:Don't be nervous. You look lovely, and I'll be here if you need me. He wasn't entirely certain what the last part meant. He'd be there if she wanted him to help, more likely, but she was perfectly capable of handling things on her own. Gale stuck the phone back in his pocket and sighed, migrating away from Marcus and his little group to find Bix a short distance away, dressed in a somewhat too-small suit.
"You look, er, different."

Bix gave him a small bro-ly push. "C'mon british dude.. DOCTOR WHO!" He pinched and smoothed his lapels. "It's classic. I just.... bought it when I was skinnier.." The shoulders were definitely tightly stretched. "Of course you have some nice outfit."

Tuck was grinning after Nevada when Heidi popped up next to him, and he grinned so big that his face hurt. That dress and them shoes were exactly what she'd worn on their 'date' which was also the same night they'd had their first kiss, so it was nothing but fond memories for him. "Heeey, short stack," he tugged on one of the braids she'd done her hair in, "it gives formal wear but I didn't have any to pack with me at the time," no, he'd only packed what he'd been able to scrounge up in Afghanistan, and it hadn't been much - and it had been expensive. "You look amazin', by the way," he continued to grin brightly at her, though he fought the urge to kiss her - only because they were in the general vicinity of his sister, and he didn't want to even get into that.

"Mm," Harrison agreed, trying to cut off more awkward fumbling. He ran his hand through his hair nervously, then leaned over to give Jordan a quick peck on the cheek in greeeting.
He smiled, then dropped the smile. More throat clearing.
Jordan looked great- of course he did, and there were distant echoes of sleek power and the way the suits fit like another skin. But those were faint, faraway heartbeats compared to the stupid ******** freight train of thought whose engine was an overwhelming roar.
"All dressed up and nowhere to go, huh?" he joked.

Rep didn't do chaste kisses very often, and dressed in pure confident he wasn't much different. Jordan got greeted when he arrived in a way that might have at least ruffled his impeccable suit. "I think the ******** phrase is "No, you"
Disentangling himself and brushing Jordan's suit as if he'd covered it in cat hair he gave Harrison another sidelong look. He wasn't usually awkward or quite as distracted as he was right now, it distracted Rep in turn. "Aye. It looks like a ******** reception."

Harrison was unusually edgy and reticent, and Jordan gave him a curious look. But then Rep distracted him, and he had to straighten his suit afterwards.
What Harrison said next clarified the matter, and Jordan nodded just slightly. "Ought to go somewhere, soon," he put in quietly.

The more and more people that filed in wearing slim dresses and some variation of suit, the more he saw this as less of a funeral and a bit more as a business social (though without the bonus of refreshments or actual choice in attending). Arms crossed, he sat against the wall and wallflowered it up, shaking his head at a few antics and a few outfits. For whatever reason, Rep was in a kilt, some girl had brought a boombox (where did she even dig up one of those relics), and most surprisingly, Jerry had decided to take care of himself to not look like a homeless person begging for quarters. Usually he loved seeing people in just clean and pressed attire, but it felt wasted on what was some unknown summoning from their division leaders who were pressed like chaperones against the wall.
He just hoped this didn't take all day. He couldn't actually see a fighting mission where suits were involved at least.

Heidi squeaked and tilted her head as Tuck tugged on one of her braids, swatting at his hand and looking up at him as if what he had done had been the most scandalous thing ever. She held each braid in her hands to protect them from any further attack. "You have just declared war on my people with such a disrespectful act, sir." She dropped her hands away after that. "Aw, really? I bet it looked good on you," Heidi mused mostly to herself, tapping at her lips. What suit was the army? The black and red was Marines, right? She couldn't remember. "Aw, thanks." Heidi smiled. "You look good, too. They said formal and I was like whaaaat.." She laughed and shrugged, picking at the dress she was wearing. It would do. Heidi hummed and looked around, stopping when she caught sight of Gnat. Whoa..she needed sunglasses to look at her. "That's...an interesting.." Dress? Was that a dress? Heidi cleared her throat, glancing up at Tuck before she kissed the tip of her finger and then pressed it to his lips. "A kiss~. S'all you're getting right now," Heidi informed Tuck mostly for her own resolve. If she said it out loud that would guarantee it. Yes.

"Y-yeah."
Rep was in a good mood. The reception comment made Harrison's arm hair stand on end. He felt bushy-tailed.
He nodded dumbly at Jordan, then supplemented a gruff, "Sooner would be better."
Couldn't they get on with the mission already? Maybe if he was occupied with some work, he wouldn't feel like such a goofball.

"Candace, you're looking as," trashy, "lovely as usual." Zebra print shoes. Just awful. Heathen. She continued smiling. Widely. It was then that she caught sight of the wonderfully clashing Rep, and that smile of hers only grew to epic proportions. She gave the redhead small wave in greeting before turning her attention back to the tall and sturdy Moon at her side.

"As do you, Sasha. I love your," whorish, "shoes. They suit you!" Candace was nothing but sweet smiles, standing close by Dakota's side.

Rep insinuated himself into Harrison's personal space next, throwing a proprietorial arm across his shoulders. He felt strange himself and he had no idea if it was just a reaction to Harrison behaving oddly or something else entirely.
"Whit's up?" he asked almost demandingly, because something clearly was, and it couldn't have just been the collectively sexy outfits either, it was a different sort of distraction.
