Seeing Sal dive into the water made Vlad smile as he watched his lover for a moment. He soon was in the water himself though there was no way he could compete with the merman when it came to swimming. He just did his best to follow after the male until they reached the whale sharks.

Vlad managed to catch up with Sal and listened to the merman talking to a rather large whale shark. He couldn't help but smile at his antics and laugh when he heard what his lover was saying. If anything, he could be talking about himself being so much older then anyone else here.

'Looks like you found a new friend love. Though it seems you go for the older guys don't you.' He teased slightly a playful tone in his thought to the other even as he moved a bit closer. Sure he didn't want to get too close, it seemed most animals could sense he was a predator and got nervous around him. It wasn't really his fault and it wasn't theirs either it was just the nature of things

"You know I cant exactly help worrying about that Sal. I have spent more time then I like worrying about humans and hunters and such. But enough about that, we are here to make you feel better." He said smiling as he watched Sal play with the creatures. Vlad was happy to just watch him play at the moment. He was thinking about what he would do if they did find out Sal was going to have a child.

Vlad could tell that Sal wasn't feeling right still and thought it could only be one thing, but he didn't voice his opinion this time. He didn't want to get their hopes up. Maybe Sal just ate too much or his body felt heavy from being on land for so long. He really didn't know. "Sal, do you want to see your elf friend after we swim? I can go with you, unless you think it is better for me not to go considering the relationship between vampires and elves."

"Alright then Sal my love, lets go see this elf friend of yours." He said happily doing his best to hide his worry, which was pretty good, considering he had been trained to hide his true feelings while he was human.

"Im sure that if anyone would know what is happening it would be her, or one of your own kind. Sadly Im not the best at telling what is happening with aquatic folk. Though I will say I am learning thanks to you." He said before he kissed the man before him. He wasn't sure how the elf would really react to him, but he had just been surrounded by them so he figured it should be alright.

Vlad nodded as Sal swam off in the direction of their home knowing that the man was going through the tunnels he had built. He was surprised that Sal didn't use them often, but he didn't mind it. If anything it was nicer to have his lover walk around with him instead of swimming everywhere.

As he got to the castle he could hear Sal coming down the stairs. No matter how quiet someone tried to be, he could always hear them, at least when he was actually awake.

"I just need to put these away and then we can go love." He said softly returning the kiss. He was going to see just who Sal's friend was, and learn if there was something going on with his lover besides being out of the water for too long.

When he got back down the stairs he smiled and looped an arm around Sal's waist before leading him down to the village below. "Alright love, where does this friend of yours live?"

"Dont worry about it Sal, I have had a fair deal of practice raising 'children' if only because I turned someone and had to teach them the ways of being a vampire." He said softly watching the villagers walking around. It seemed that some were still unsure about him, but since he was with someone and not attacking they weren't as nervous around him.

As they reached the house Vlad hung back slightly thinking it would be best if Sal went first just so that his friend didn't get startled.

Vlad came up behind Sal and put his arm around the merman's waist pulling him close. 'Nothing wrong persay. We are just concerned by how Sal was feeling. He thinks its from not being in the water for so long. We don't know for sure, but is it possible for a merman to bare children?'

He wasn't embarrassed to let the elf know of their activities or that it was a possible concern. He still wanted to be sure that Sal would be safe during this of course. 'If it is possible are there any health concerns we should have?'
