 EngillGil laughed softly. "It's alright. It was a natural concern, a reasonable question" he replied. "In the embarrassment stakes I got my own back. I told her I'm a virgin. She didn't seem to think that reassuring though for some reason. I told her I've never known any such thing as an angel pervert. We are unable to enter into relations without a strong emotional bonding first." He stood up and stretched. "Have a look around the house, find out where everything is, let me know if there's anything you want or need that I've forgotten. Also, let me know what food you want me to stock up with."

 Ezra Schlehuber Ezra blinked. Gil was a virgin? So, he never got far with the man he told him about. That was...sad, actually. It was just a physcial connection to most, but Ezra liked to believe something like that was meant to have some higher meaning, other than reproduction. "I like my room, so you don't have to worry about that. Will you walk around with me, or should i explore alone?"

EngillAt least Ezra had not laughed or judged him for his admission. Not that he had thought he might but he knew many humans would have done so, they'd not understand. He smiled and shrugged. "Whichever you prefer. I'll give you space to explore on your own if you wish or I'll accompany you if that's pleasant to you." He didn't want to smother or crowd the boy, if they were going to be sharing a home he didn't want them under each others feet. But he enjoyed his company and he had missed him.

Ezra Schlehuber Ezra looked down, thinking. He wasn't sure. He liked spending time with Gil, but he didn't want to impose on his time too much. And, it was just looking around the house. He didn't think it'd be too much trouble to do so alone. "I think I'll explore on my own. I want to spend as much time with you as possible, but I don't want to hog all your time, either. We can definitely talk later, though."

EngillGil smiled and gave a small nod of the head. "As you wish" he replied. "Though I do not believe I could tire of your company too readily, do not worry on that." He brushed the hair from his forehead. "Don't let your hair cover your eyes. They are such a beautiful cerulean blue. I'll be in the kitchen if you want me for anything." He headed down to the kitchen. It was strange being in such a large home, he was used to everything being to hand. He wanted to make the young human a special meal but was uncertain what would meet that criteria to the boy. He could make a bread and butter pudding. Would he like that? He hoped so. He set about preparing the sweet pudding and baking in the oven he was just about used to now.

Ezra Schlehuber Ezra blushed when Gil complimented his eyes and moved his hair from his face. Did he really think that? It got him thinking on whether that was why Sophia moved his hair all the time. She could have just told him that. Gil left, and the teen sat for a few more moments before getting up. He grapped a hairpin, tipped with a maple leaf, from his bag and pulled his bangs up before he left the room. Felix had jumped up onto his shoulder and climbed to his head, which was normal for him in a new place. His free tour ticket maybe. "What should we explore first? Top to bottom? Bottom to top?" As expected, Felix didn't seem to care, so Ezra decided to explore top to bottom. Since he was already on the top floor. "...I wonder where Gil sleeps now." Well, he'd find out eventually.
After touring the modern-fied cabin, Ezra was actually quite pleased. He liked the old one better, of course, but he was flattered Gil had renovated for him. It was...meaningful. Possibly. He took Felix back to their room and was immediately being ambushed by Cloud, who clearly wanted some attention. Picking the Chocobo up, he pet him softly before leaving the room and going down to the kitchen. He had delibrately avoided the area when he saw Gil was working in there, but now he didn't have to. There wasn't the risk of Felix jumping around and making a mess. "Hey, Gil....What are you making?"

EngillGil turned to look at Ezra when the youth spoke to him. The first thing he noticed was that he'd clipped his hair back and he smiled to himself at that. He washed his hands and dried them on a tea towel. "Bread and butter pudding" he replied. "I do hope that's something you like. I wanted to make us a special treat for lunch but had no idea what you would consider to be special so..." He shrugged and smiled. "Would you like something to drink? Does Felix hunt for himself and do we need to get food for him?" He turned the oven down a little and then put the kettle on to boil.

Ezra Schlehuber Ezra tilted his head. The teen caught Gil's smile when he saw his hair was clipped back, and he blushed a bit. "I've never had bread and butter pudding. I'm looking forward to it." Taking a seat, he watch Cloud jump up on the table and look around. He pet the Chocobo softly. "...Milk. I wouldn't mind a glass of milk. If it's alright. Anyway, the only reason Felix hunts is because he's a sadist. I brought his food and litter. He's got a full bowl of food and water. I think I forgot to bring his wet food, though. He's going to kill me." The teen laughed a little. Well, he'd just have to make sure to get some the first chance he got. "Anyway....There's enogh food and litter to last a week or so."

Sorry, I'm still getting used to the changes to a more modern lifestyle" Gil replied and laughed a little. "What's litter? As Felix is male I'm assuming you don't mean a litter of kittens. I've made the bread and butter pudding with sultanas and cinnamon, I that's fine for you." He made himself some nettle tea with a little honey and sat down on a stool at the counter. "I'll show you where the cabin is later if you like. It's just down a small path a way behind the house. I will probably some time here during the day often. It will be my....man cave? Is that the human expression?"

Ezra Schlehuber Ezra laughed a little. So, he wasn't quite as modern. That was fine with Ezra. He liked how Gil wasn't so caught up in the modern world. "Kitty litter. It's the indoor cat's bathroom. Usually comes in bags or buckets. It goes in a litter box. I don't know why it's called the same as a bunch of kittens, but yeah." Listening to Gil as he poured a glass of milk for himself, he laughed a little. "Don't call it that if you don't want to. Personally, the term 'man cave' just sounds barbaric, and it's just a place where men can get away from their wives. I find it offensive, really." Cloud chirped and Ezra blinked. So, the little guy did have a voice box. That was new to him. "Though....I guess you need one. Get away from here when the modern life gets too overwhelming. Is that also where you sleep? Your cabin?"Rainbow Naz Litter? Lidder....However it's spelled. @_@

EngillGil raised a brow when Ezra explained about Felix's litter box. "He doesn't go outside to excrete? How strange." He sipped his tea and stretched out his wings a little. "I have been sleeping in the cabin, yes, but I shan't now. I won't leave you alone in the house at night no matter how safe it is. I'm happy enough to just sleep on the floor in any room I happen to be in when I'm tired - the living room most likely." He got up to check the pudding then turned the oven off and got a tea towel to take the baking tin out and set it to cool. "Well, I do not have a wife and never shall! But it I did take a mate why on earth would I want to get away from him? It seems to defeat the purpose of the bonding. Humans are...strange at times." He laughed softly when Cloud chirped. "He get's quite vocal when he's running around outside. Whistle and he comes straight back and jumps up."

Ezra Schlehuber "He hardly ever leaves my room, and he doesn't seem to like doing his business outside. Stresses him out. I think he prefers the privacy of the indoors. He's a complicated cat." So, Gil didn't think the idea of getting away from your spouse made sense. Neither did Ezra, which was why he'd probably be one of those attentive and time-spending husbands if he married. Even if it was a political marriage. "You don't have to sleep on the floor....There's always the couch, or...." No, nevermind. Ezra trailed off and looked away, as if thinking to himself. He was about to suggest Gil could share his bed, but he didn't know about that. Still, it meant he was comfortable around the angel, so it wasn't like being offered was a bad thing. "Vocal, huh?...I'll have to spend some extra time with Cloud to make up for the week. You know him better than I do, and I don't know if I like that very much." The teen chuckled. So, he just whistled and the small bird came running back. That was very tame of him.

EngillGill nodded, taking two wooden bowls from a cupboard to dish up the pudding. "I'll probably sleep on the couch most nights. Though sometimes perhaps we'll sleep in the cabin together, not often just occasionally. That would be pleasant. We can cook on the open fire, you can sleep in the wooden bunk and I can sleep under the stars. Perhaps in seven days when it is your next weekend." He set the two bowls of bread and butter pudding on the table and took a seat. "I hope you like it. After this I'm going to the lake to clear rubbish. Humans throw all sort of things in there and it causes so many injuries. I've had to rescue so many water voles and other small creatures from inside cans and bottles. Now there's some large metal contraption in there, like a sort of large metal basket on wheels."

Ezra Schlehuber Ezra blinked. Large metal basket on wheels? It certainly wasn't a bulldozer. With that description, he wasn't sure. A cement truck? No. That didn't make any sense. Why would there be some sort of tractor out here? They didn't plan on doing some remodeling to the forest, did they? "You should head down there and see why it's there. It's some sort of tractor. Typically used in demolition and remodeling projects. They have no reason to be here." Not that he knew of anyway. Ezra tended to stay away from things like this, but he became interested in the forest after meeting Gil. The only project that was ever held here was after the wildfire nearly a century ago. Nothing that involved bulldozers and the like. Just search and rescue missions for missing people.

Engill"I'll head down there as soon as we've finished eating. A tractor huh? Well, they can't bring that on this property without my permission. This is my land, I bought it decades ago. I've the paperwork humans need. Not that I believe in this land ownership nonsense but I thought it prudent" he explained to him in reply. "I've never fenced it off, never prevented use of the land for innocuous pastimes - hiking, camping, wildlife study. But I won't have vehicles here. I wonder what possible reason anyone could have for driving a tractor type thing to my lake?" There was a worried crease to his brow as he finished the rest of his pudding in silent and then washed up the bowls and spoons before heading out. "Are you coming or staying here, Ez?" he asked in the doorway.
