Nodding, she took a small bite of the food, still keeping her left arm hidden. Mika sighed, shaking her head. "That part is fairly obvious. I guess he needs to learn that the world isn't quite as lovely as he believes." As a jolt of pain went up her arm, she bit her lip, turning her head away. It hurt, badly. She had gotten used to it, to an extent, but it still flared up. As much as she hated to admit it, she probably should have chilled the wounds, since they still felt like they were burning from the cauterization. "Damnit..." she whispered, pulling her arm up and looking at the bandages. They started to seep.

Tamahome frowned a bit and moved over toward Tasuki. "What happened? You need to get dressing on that before it gets infected. Where did Nuriko go? She's a doctor..." He dashed out, looking around for them and saw nothing. "Oh hell, why do they have to disappear now!"
He came back in and knelt down next to Mika, "I can bandage it, you need to Mika, or it will get worse." He hadn't been there when she'd inflicted the wounds on herself, so he didn't know how she'd gotten them.

Chiriko looked over and frowned, not saying anything about the wounds, but for what ever reason she'd done it, Tamahome was right. "Yeah... we need Lian to look at that, but at least until we can find her, let Tamahome tend it. I'll go look for her and the Prince. Either they are off being naughty, which I doubt, or they got in trouble or lost and can't find their way back. I'll go find them."
Riku looked at the steel cart, but instead of asking questions he carefully placed the man and Nuriko inside, but he wasn't sure how to move the thing with no horses. He needed help... badly.

"I put some salve on it, though I realize now I should have chilled it first," she said, removing the cloths that were covering it. There four wounds burned shut, with scars of many more going up her arms. "If you want to bandage it, you may. I probably need to clean it better anyways." Mika had a bit of a problem with her wounds and cleaning them before she wrapped them. As it was, the cuts were shut, so there wasn't much of a risk of infection, but they were painful.

He gently took her forearm in his hands, "Ah you sealed them, with the amount of blood I thought they were still open. You would wrap them though, the skin will be very tender from the burning, and if you wrap it, less likely to blister." He saw the other marks like these and figured it had something ritualistic behind it. "Let's go somewhere we can tend this, while Chiriko goes to look for Nuriko and the Prince." Then he blinked, remembering the quiet Priestess... "Or I'll go fetch some bandages, and come back. You probably would like to eat." He smiled at her, then to the Priestess.

Mika nodded. "I always seal them..." She had cut herself so many times, and had tended to many others from her brother... she had learned quite quickly to seal the cuts afterwards. "The bandages are in the kitchen. Ask one of the cooks, and they will get you some." She had been in there only moments earlier, they would know to get more wraps. Although, she was also certain that the cook who had slapped her was probably bawling in there as well. She almost didn't wish for Tamahome to go in there. He would probably hear some very unkind things about her.
Glancing over at the Priestess, she bowed her head reverantly. "I'm sorry you have to see this."

Tamahome nodded and went into the kitchen were two of the cooks were off to the side and one was tending all the fires. One of the women was crying, the other consoling her. He wondered what was going on, but just went to the working cook and asked where the badages were. He was instructed and he retrieved them, taking another look at the crying woman. He let out a sigh, he hated to see women upset. He went over, "What happened?" he asked in a concerned voice.
((Goman! I had to, trouble is fun!))

The woman, Lin, who was consoling her friend, Taki, looked up at Tamahome and motioned for him to speak to the woman who was working. She didn't wish to speak ill of the boss. The one who was cooking, Michiko, smiled softly at Tamahome. "It's about her fiance, Ryui. He was killed today... only a few moments earlier." She looked over to the sides, as if seeing if Mika was going to come in. "Miss Mika did it, but I hate to admit it, Ryui probably deserved it."
"HE DID NOT!" Taki cried out, looking over at Michiko with a glare. "He was a good man. He may be a little bit of a lecher, but he was still a good man..." She looked down, still crying. "We were going to be married in a few weeks."
Michiko shook her head, turning back to Tamahome. "In either case, Miss Mika had to kill him, and the rest of his group. Four men..." Michiko shook her head again, sighing. "It's a shame... she works so hard to keep the group together. It really hurts her to have to do it. That's why she and her brother have so many cuts."

"Cuts? So that's what she did to her arm. But why do they cut themselves, penatence or something?" He looked over to the girl, truly sad for her loss and he wondered if the man had been one of the gang that had attacked the priestess earlier. He'd barely managed to get to her in time, before they raped her. He didn't say this of course, but he decided to ask Mika when he was done.

Michiko nodded, sighing as she stirred the food. "Yes. Poor things. I was here before they were. They were only kids when they first killed someone. It wasn't their fault that time, but Miss Mika got cut on her arm during the fight. So, they decided that for every person they kill, they cut themselves, so they never forget." She shook her head again. Michiko wasn't very old, but she sounded much older than she was. "Don't say that I told you this, but I actually pity those two. Once their marks showed up, the others tried taking advantage of them. Either way, those two have had a rough life."

"Yeah," Sun Li said in a soft, sympathetic tone. "In know something about that, but at least they were lucky enough to not be born with the Demon symbol. I had people trying to take advantage of me and chasing me out of town because I was a bad omen." He took the bandages, "Thanks," he smiled and walked back to the table. "Here we go, fresh dressings and some more salve."

Michiko nodded, smiling slightly as Tamahome left.
Mika had kept rather quiet. She didn't really want to discuss the wounds. Afterall, it wasn't something she liked thinking about. Afterall, they marked her as a killer. A murderer. A common criminal. She glanced up at Tamahome, smiling slightly. "Thanks."

He just smiled back and tended to her arm gently. For not being a doctor, he was quite skillful at binding wounds. His Grandma had been the wise woman of the village they lived in, so when the doctor wasn't available they came to her, so naturally he was practiced at small things like that. He wrapped it tight enough to stop the swelling and throbbing, but not too tight as to cause her discomfort. Well more discomfort then she's already in. "There you go, all set." He took his outer shirt off and drapped it over her shoulders, "You clothes are stained," he indicated her sleeve, "You can use this until you're finished eating." His plain white under robe and green pants looked fine alone, and showed off his nicely muscled chest. He went back to his seat next to the Priestess, to check to see how she was doing.

Wincing a little as Tamahome wrapped her arm, she tried not to show it. Mika was supposed to be strong. Afterall, she was the boss, atleast until her brother got back. And, even then, they had to fight before he could take his position back. It was a bit of a ritual for them. "Thank you again." She was glad that he had given her his shirt, though there was the tiniest red tinge across her cheeks. She nibbled a little bit on the food on her plate, sighing. Mika was half expecting Drive to show up at some point. "I hope the cooks didn't chew you out too badly for going into there."
