Amaree watched the goings on with keen interest. She had never seen a bird like the one that accompanied Dashira, but she gave them their room and stood a few feet away. She watched in silence with great interest, wondering if there was anything she could do to help.

((OMG A ONE LINER! *points* Shame! Didn't I already talk to someone about doing oneliners in here? *gonks* ))
Dashira nodded and turned back to the cave entrance, walking out with Rellick. "You're doing well.. I'll tell father."
Rellick nodded. "And thank him once more for consenting to be my ally... "
She nodded. "See you." And was gone.

[Sorry >.> I was braindead on what to post XD]
Areli watched the two walk out, then looked at Amaree. She smiled, as she put her paw down finaly, and it didn't hurt. "Yay" she said, forcing another laugh. She pushed herself up to a stand, and picked her paw up, then put it down, and did that multipul times, then laughed at herself, before walking forward. She limped slightly, but atleast she could walk now.

Amaree looked over to her friend. "Hey, good to see you on four legs again. Just take it easy, alright?" It seemed that Amaree was using that phrase to Areli a lot lately. "Don't try to run or hunt right now. Brooke and I will take care of it. Speaking of hunting..." She turned to Rellick. "We'd better go ahead and get to those gazelle before the vultures do."

The Dark Prince -though no longer looking like the Dark Prince- slinked out of the bushes. He had heard the calamity and torn himself away from the pond. Waking that morning he had noticed the change of his body and thus investigated.
"Has something happened?" His voice was smooth and silky, with the faint edge of mischief. No longer the breaking voice of a adolescent.

Rell glanced over his shoulder, hearing a smooth voice. His mane bristled and tail whipped in agitation, for Jayvyn stood behind him, a full-maned adult. "Areli got hurt on a hunt." He said in a clipped voice, slightly jealous. "Amaree and I are going to fetch the kills made before the birds get to them.. We won't be gone long, stay out of trouble, won't you?" With a smirk he waved his tail and turned back to the lioness.

"Me? Get into trouble? Never!" Jay looked at Areli and made a face. "Trouble always finds me..."
With that, he wandered back to his sleeping spot. Rellick didn't have anything to worry about. He didn't want his Pride or his females - eck! He still just wanted to have fun and a good time.

Amaree rolled her eyes and headed off toward the kills. "What's his problem?" She asked after he was out of hearing distance. "He acts like he got a bad taste in his mouth or something... I almost wanted to meet him and talk to him... but not like that..." Amaree said, approaching the kill. "Rellick." She said, stopping and turning to him. "I... I have to tell you something..." She looked down at the ground and pawed it anxiously. She didn't know whether or not to say it, but now was a better time than any.

Rellick turned his roiling thoughts from Jayvyn and his obvious discomfort to Amaree. He looked at her in concern. "What's wrong Ree dear? You can tell me anything." He smiled reassuringly, willing her to trust him. 'As a king should be trusted.'

((-blinkes- You know, it's not fun to read two pages of RP when i get home from schooooooool! gonk ))
Brooke followed along, watching everything silently. She helped when she was needed, but other than that, she stayed to the sidelines, watching, learning, becoming little more than a blue-tan shadow with the rest of them. For a second, she considered staying with the black lion rather than to get in the way of Rellick and the others, but the sound of his smooth voice and one look at his face brought her trotting along after the scarlet king. She didn't trust this lion. Oh, no.
Brooke slowed and stopped, slinking behind Amaree as she turned to Rellick. She froze. Right now, here? Rhee was going to tell him...? She felt the urge to leap forward and ask if Amaree was sure, but she caught herself. This was her own decision. And Brooke wasn't about to interfere.

Amaree turned and looked Rellick straight in the eye. "Rellick... I know soon you'll grow, and you'll be able to choose a Queen... And I know that you like Areli and I about the same... and I don't know. I just... I wanted to tell you... Rellick... That I..." She looked away and lay her ears back in anxiety. "I love you... Rellick." She said, looking back up at him. "I've loved you since the day you showed me that stone, since you brought me to your Pride Lands... I just... I thought I should tell you. I mean, you don't have to feel the same way, and if you like Areli more then that's fine.. I just... wanted to tell you so badly." She said, laying down and putting her head in her paws. "It was tearing me apart..."

Brooke sensed the tension in the moment, and backed away silently. She moved toward the two kills. Scavenger birds had already begun to circle around the food. Some had landed quite close to the meat. Brooke scowled at the birds, chasing them away with neat flicks of her tail.

((Right. -decides to bring Jax into this- xD))
The cub hid in the bushes, each step light and careful. He had caught the scent of gazelle long ago, and had watched the two fallen beasts for a long while. His eyes took in everything - the flight of the birds, the three lions of different ages padding toward the prey. And then the older lioness turning to the scarlet male, and saying something inaudible to the cub. But that was of no importance. He wanted to steal some of the gazelle. Oh, what fun it would be. And these lions seemed as if they could hear nothing. Not even the excitement that caused his breath to come shallow and quick.
Brooke's ears flickered. She had heard what distinctively sounded like... quick breaths in the bushes. She turned her head, her aqua blue eyes catching the quickest glimmer of white fur. She froze, and then took a cautious step toward the bush.
The young lion's eyes were trained only on the gazelle. He saw nothing of the young blue lioness as she crept toward him. Until...
Brooke grabbed the little lion and hauled him out of the bushes roughly. 'Who are you?' She demanded, shaking him. 'What were you doing, hiding in the bush?'
The lion yowled in protest. Panic and anger gripped him. His claws came unsheathed, and in a blind moment, he swiped his paws toward the young lioness's face.
Brooke yelped in pain as little claws stung her cheek and dug four stinging, albeit shallow, scratches in her cheek. She felt a warm drop of blood oozing from on of the scratches. She dropped the cub and trod on his tail. 'What was that about, kid?' She growled. 'You want a taste of this?' Her claws drew small furrows in the ground as she lightly tested them, glaring at the cub.
'N-noo!' The cub whined, wriggling in a futile attempt to free his tail. 'I'm Jax, an'... an'... you're steppin' on me tail!' He howled.
Brooke scowled. 'I don't care, kid!' She hauled him forward and snatched him up by the scruff in her jaws. 'We'll see what the king makes of ye!'

Rell, standing in shock as Amaree confessed to him, blinked as she layed down. He didn't know what to say, or how to say it. 'She loves me?' He couldn't understand. 'I.. Why?' The sound of Brooke fighting with a yowling beast made him turn, glaring at the intruding brown male. "I'm sorry Amaree.. But this will have to wait." He stalked over to Brooke with a loud growl, batting at the cub with a paw. "Cease your yowling this INSTANT!" He fairly roared, taking in the scratches on Brooke's cheek. "And explain yourself."

Rellick's words held so much authority in them that even the normally exceedingly disobedient Jax shut up for once. He tried to cower into the shelter of the blue lioness's fur, but she promptly dropped him to the ground, where he looked up at the scarlet king meekly. 'I... I... J-Jax was hidin' in ee bushes when when de lioness drag Jax out ov... dere...' He stuttered.
Brooke regarded the little mound on the ground coldly, but felt her anger melting away at the sight of Jax. He was just so furry and cute, in an annoying way. Oh, blame her softness, she just couldn't stand by and watch Rellick yell at the little cub.
Brooke caught Amaree's gaze, and shot her a swift oh-my-god-I-can't-believe-I-interrupted look, near begging for forgiveness. She knew that it must have taken lots of courage for her to have managed to tell him, and she didn't want to be the one to have messed it all up for her.
'Oh, Rellick, don't yell at him.' She began. 'It might've been my fault, I could have scared him when I dragged him out of the bushes... I...' She brought a paw self-conciously to the scratches on her cheek. 'Its...'
