"Well...where to start..." She pawed at the ground lightly with her black foot. Her claws lightly scratched and uprooted the grass. "I was born into a Tribal family away from the pridelands. The whole pride was close, my father and mother being the royalty. My older brother was to succeed the throne. A male wandered into our territory. He was wondered and on the brink of death. Father had a talk with the pride shaman and charged me with caring for the rogue..." Anastacia began to blush deeply at the thoughts following. "We became close...and I fell in love with him. My parents were delighted at the news that we would make a pride together. On the day of our leaving, my brother was not present. He had told me earlier he was fetching a gift for my new mate and myself. After we crossed the boarder of our pride, my brother ambushed us..." Her voice stung of betrayel, but she kept speaking. "He charged my mate. His friend charged me pinning me down stopping me from helping my beloved. My brother killed him slashing his throat open...he moved onto me beating me within an inch of my life and left me there to die. I'm not sure how I survived exactly...but I knew from some scouts that he had told the pride that we were ambushed, and killed. At that point, I wished I was dead..." The lioness took a breath, trying to compose herself. "After that, I moved away to here...wanting to stay away from others as much as possible...sadly, my oddities didn't make it hard..." She motioned toward her single feather, it flicking lightly. "Everytime I look in the water, I see the scar my brother placed upon me...and the tribal markings of my heritage. I wonder sometimes...what the Fates had in mind when they allowed me to live..and my mate to die." She sighed softly, a faraway look coming into her eyes. She stared away from him, tears welling softly in the lioness's eyes. "I still don't understand why my brother attacked. I suspect jealousy...he hated the fact that I found love..and he never could. All the females he wanted were either mated or promised to others. Breaking the mating vows in my tribe was...blasphemy." She shivered lightly, tail curling. "Now, I'm here...trying to stay away from others...sadly, I'm failing." She couldn't help but smile at Benton, her eyes holding a little twinkle.

Sir Benton listened as he got comfortable sitting on the ground. He took in every word and filed it away incase he needed to recollect something in the future. "Wow... That's a very unfortunate and sad past you've had there, Anastacia. But I think your one tail feather, is adorable. Your scars, actually inhance your beauty and I like your tribal markings. I see nothing wrong with you. However, you can't hide from everyone forever. Interaction is good. I'm glad you didn't die, because then I wouldn't've met you and had such a warm reception into the Pride Lands. I myself have a story of my own, but perhaps it's better left for another time. From what I've seen around here, most any lion would rather nuzzle with you than want to kill you." Lowering his head, he got close to her as if going to tell her a secret, "Though, I am glad you're failing. Only if you fail can I win." With a smirk, Benton licked the lionesses muzzle and straightened back up smiling.

The smile Jericho bore spoke volumes on its own, in ways he'd never allow himself to say. A day or two. In as that, he might finally have the chance to learn about himself. Finally, a chance to set all the records straight, and to see just where he stood. "Thank you, " he said quietly, pointed ears flickering once or twice. "Really. Thanks." Luck had definately been on his side; the lunar was more sure now than ever that he'd ended up stumbling onto the right pride.
... Adit aside, anyway. But nothing was ever perfect, was it? (Himself aside.)

Akitana led her mother back toward her Pride Lands, overjoyed Illitashia had agreed to come and visit. Even though her own Pride would be fine without her for a brief time, it was apparent that she was worried as she left her mate and cubs behind. However, Talcorin had all but insisted when Akitana had appeared, and the Dusk Rose couldn't thank him enough. She smiled at her mother, brushing shoulders and then speeding up to a trot as they crossed the border of the lands. "Come on then mother! Sabastian and the others are waiting!"
They had made good time, the pair of lionesses.. Despite bearing cubs, they were still in sleek 'HuntShape', and had no trouble moving quickly for long periods of time. It probably helped that Akitana's boundless enthusiasm spurred her to great speed, but despite her worry for her Pride, Illi was happy to be going to visit too. "I can't wait to see that King of your's.. And your cubs must be causing more trouble, since they've started to grow up."
Akitana nodded proudly and smiled. "Yes.. The family is fine.. Growing and causing trouble, but all healthy... And we have a MoonChild here who craves your knowledge Mother.. And.. Oh its so wonderful you comming to visit! Anubis still hasn't come to see us... But I can't tell you how glad I am to have you here!"
Illi chuffed at her daughter and watched her prance and bubble on like a cub on its first outing, shaking her head and smiling. Despite Akitana's regal bearing in most cases, she was still young, and exciteable, and a joyous creature. "I am glad to be here.. Now.. Let's go see your family."

Radion opened her silver eyes, finding herself no longer at the river. How foolish it had been of her, her judgement clouded by weakness. She seemed to be at this pride's den, had the Queen carried her there? It seemed that almost everyone on the pride was there, though there seemed to be a troubled mind heading down the lake. What had happened? The glowing lioness tried standing up, her paws still shaky.

Chandra found herself surrounded by many different color pelted lions, beautiful each of them. She was meek and shy, she bowed her head in deep respects to those around her as she just smiled. "My name is Chandra, it is a pleasure being here.." She purred out softly. Her wings shifted against her back as she glanced around. Taking it all in.

Akitana appeared in the midst of the chaos, an oddly calming presence. She smiled and greeted the newcommers with a bow of her head. "Well met.. I am Akitana, Queen of Dawn's First Light... Radion, I am pleased to see you are awake, and there is some fresh antelope here, if you would have some." With a smile, she turned in search of her mate.
Illitashia appeared at her daughter's side, a young buck antelope slung over her rosey back. She smiled at the Pride and paced toward the teen, letting the kill slide off of her. "Eat and regain strength." The Rose Queen murmured. Turning, she considered Chandra with a deep nod. "Chandra, Child of the Sky. You have the greetings of myself and my King, who was once among your kind... Well met, and I am glad you are here..."

In the time Akitana had come and gone, Jericho had grown more and more nervous. Which may not have been so bad in itself, if he hadn't insisted on acting like he wasn't effected at all. He was Jericho, after all -- Jericho didn't get nervous! He knew everything there was to begin with! This was simply a comparison of notes, yup. That was all there was to it.
The young lunar had never been much of an actor before, and it wasn't about to change now.
He'd been lounging about in the caves when he heard a new voice -- and as he crept forward, caught sight of a new lioness. Jericho gulped, muscles tensing. For a split-second, he was almost too anxious to move.
'Come on!, ' he thought, irritated at himself. 'You're Jericho, resident hero okay, maybe 'hero' was a bit of an exaggeration, but... and moon-child! This is nothing!' With a nod of his head, resolve strengthened, the teen managed to stroll out with the upmost confidence. Good! Now just to walk over to that lioness and...
"Umm... are you Illitashia?" The second the words slipped from his mouth, he was ready to smack himself. Stupid! Confident as he tried to be, his tone went right ahead and betrayed every bit of the uncertainty he was feeling. "I mean, uh... , " he amended quickly, struggling to regain his control on the situation.

She stared at him in the eyes for a moment taking in his words. Her tail flicked gently as she felt his tongue against her cheek. A small flush appeared upon her face as she couldn't help but smile. "Well...it really doens't matter now...." She admitted. Hesitantly, the female stepped over and rested her head against his shoulder. Anastacia's tail wrapphed around her body as a content sigh managed to escape her muzzle. "You're kinda winning already.." The lioness looked up at him, smiling gently.

With a very gentle paw upon the visiting teenager's back, Sabastian smiled and gave a warm look to her. "Well greetings and good morning again young one. Are you hungry?" he asked happily and then glanced up as his mate and her mother re entered. "Greetings Grandmother..." he stated while bowing before the other lioness. "It is an honour to have you within my lands, and you and yours is always welcomed here." he continued with a gentle purrr.
Unaware of the greetings and his grandmother being on the pride lands, Adit continued to walk out towards the meeting spot, growling and grumbling under his breath about various items and affairs most of which were mostly of his own displeasure. As he sulked out, he seemed to be caught up in his own displeasures and compleatly doesn't notice himself walking crown (of the head) first walking into the haunches of a much LARGER lion. Out of shock and surprise he lets out a howl of confusion while jumping back. "Woah! Who are you! What are you doing here?!" he rambles off as he sinks low to the ground in compleat fear of this very much older, and darker colored lion that was compleatly unknown to him.

The teen bowed her head to Sabastian, surprised to see how gently she had been received into the pride dispite her breakthrough. "Thank you, King Sabastian, for your hospitality. I dare say I am hungry, yes..." When the pair of lionesses arrived, like a drop of tranquility in a raging ocean, Radion bowed her head to the Queen and Queen Mother as well, smilling faintly. "I thank you both, Queen Akitana and Queen Illitashia." she greeted. Gently, she took a piece from the antelope, making next to no sound as she proceeded on feeding herself, trying to be discrete. Still, her glow didn't exactly help, spreading a little from her fur and slightly stronger.

Benton was about to go further when he was bumped into by something or another... Looking down he smirked as he saw a little lion, damn the timing! "Hi there... I'm Sir Benton. I'm here to meet King Sabastian. Do you know where he is?" The lion moved like his old friend, was there a chance that he forgot to mention he had children? Naaah....

Illitashia turned to the blue teen who had greeted her so uncerimoniously and couldn't help but c**k a brow in consternation. "I am the Queen of Rose Wings, and my name is Illitashia, pray tell.. Who are you little MoonSon?"
Aki smiled slightly, stepping over to her mate as her mother gently chastised Jericho for his somewhat disrespectful greeting. She tossed a glance at Radion and bowed her head when the teen spoke to her, smiling gently.
Taking a moment to bow her head and smile at Radion, Illitashia turned to Sabastian and couldn't help but swell with Pride. He was a charming King, and he called her grandmother. Ha! "Not your's young King!" She teased. "Mother to you!"
Aki laughed at her mother and mate, and nosed him gently. "Speaking of, my Heart... Where are our children?"
Issaria appeared at her mother's haunches as she spoke, bowing low. "Greetings Grandmother Illitashia, Queen of Rose Wings." She murmured. "I am Princess Issaria, much grown since our last encounter.."
Illitashia smiled at her granddaughter and nuzzled Issa's head. "Rise little one.. I remember you, and grown you have!" She purred with Pride and glanced at her daughter and Sabastian, nodding to them. "What of your siblings?"
Hinhallow paced up and bowed, smiling at his Grandmother. "Greetings, I am Hinhallow, and it is a pleasure to meet you again Queen and Roaming Rose. I am sorry to say I do not know where our other siblings have gone off too... "

"well, my dear..." Sabastian paused while glancing towards the entrance to the cave, "I believe that Adit is still a bit heated due to my belief that he should treat Jericho as an equal... and I think he was headed down towards the river... I'm not too sure though." He states, worry carrying in his tone as he continues to gaze out the opening of the cave as he thought about various topics. "I believe that our other daughter followed him... Not sure though because I don't see her around here." He adds.
Glancing back to Radion Sabastion smiled, "You are welcomed to partake in the kill with our pride. I can fully understand the life of an outlander and a wander, for I too once had no home." he stated with a warm careing voice. Then turning back to his mates mother he nodded and softly chuckled, "I shall remember that for the future, Mo.. mother."
Continueing to remain low to the ground, his stance was rather reminisce of sabastian durring his teenage years, but true the colour did seem very much unlike Sabastian. "How do I know you're telling the truth about my father?" the teenager insissted back while never taking his eyes off of the black lion. Having the feeling that one of his sisters watched from her shadows his tail flicked a bit as if trying to send a message to her to send word back to the cave of these 'intruders'

Well... So it is... One of Sabastians offspring. "Well... Let's see here... He's your father is he? Wow.. I am one of his old friends. Before he settled down here, he was a wonderer. Has a special gifts not unlike your siblings I gather. He is almost ghost like and he stands tall, but he's very caring. Is he not? A very just man." Benton smiled and thought back, it really wasn't that much of a shock to him that Sabastian had become a King. He had wonderful leadership qualities. Looking back at his partner, he winked at her, still smiling.
