Maggie blinked, only understanding little bits, well, basicly she heard the words one, Love, sad, and me. She blinked gain. "S-sapphire? could you say it slower please...I...i'm not sure what you said." she asked.

Sapphire groaned, not wanting to say it again. He found a stick and wrote it out in the dirt. "There!", he said putting his wings back over his head.

Maggie nudged at his wings and giggled. "Sapphire, i can't read, silly." she smiled at him. "if you really don't want to tell me then ok, i'll stop asking." she said.

Maggie blinked lightly. She shifted, thinking. Had she heard right? she was almost certin she had, and if she had, did he mean what she thought. Her mind spun for a few moments as she sorted out her thoughts.

"Lucky duck." Maggie said finally. "you have somthing to hide behind if your blushing." Maggie said, joking softly. "but, would you mind removin your wings?" she asked. She nudged his wings and whispered, for only him to hear "I don't like it when i can't see the one i love." she voice was soft, and still a hint of...fear? hesitation? somthing of that nature, as if afried she had heard wrong.

Sapphire was indeed blushing a dark red. He removed his wings but stuck his head in the grass to hide his face. "He's busy right now, can you leave a message?"

"and why not? nothing special abotu anel's but their fancy wings." Maggie laughed. "your just like me, my brother, my mom and dad, Racer, and every other wing-less horse, you just got....a few extra limbs."

Isis felt odd listening to the conversation, so she had slipped off silently, not disturbing the two who were talking. She went back to watching the herd, and how the foals had grown. And was happy for them. She remembered growing herself. She tried to ignore the fact that Sapphire had said that he had loved Maggie. She gave off a sigh. She guessed that there was no hope now. Might as well just content herself back with the herd again. There was no one for her. She wasn't sure she was going to try again. It hurt too much. She was happy for Maggie though. She had a good catch.
The breeze blew her mane across her face and neck, and she shook it because the breeze tickled her mane. This was her life now. It was a lonely one, but she enjoyed others trusting her, to make sure they were safe. Even if it was only for a short while, while her father and mother were gone.
