Dain had been dozing on and off since he had gotten back from Jeff and Yakov's. He pulled out his phone and flipped it open. "Hello?"

Cala couldn't help smiling to herself. "My dear boy, I'm terribly sorry to bother you since you were just here this morning, but I'm havin' a terrible time finishin' up my orders for today, do you think you could stop by and help me at the store?"

Dain let out a silent yawn before answering. "Of course. No problem. Do you want me to head over there now?"

"That would be just lovely. Thank you so much sugar. I'll have to bake up some of those corn fritters you love as a thank you this weekend." Cala hung up the phone with a hearty laugh.

Dain hung up then got redressed and headed down to the shop. When he walked in no one was in the front. "Cala?"

Lilly jumped up from the bin of flowers she was working with in the back. She stumbled back and grabbed another bin for support only to have it all come tumbling down on top of her. Red roses went everywhere.

Dain heard the crash from the back room and quickly ran back. He saw Lilly in a pile of roses and tried not to smile. "Are you okay?"

Lilly stared at him for a second before speaking, "What are you doing here?! The shops closed!" She tried to sound angry but she was mostly just embarrassed and frustrated.

Dain put his hands up in defense. "Cala told me to come down because she needed help with some orders."

Lilly picked a rose off of her head and tossed it into the bin. "Gran's been home for two hours! I told her I'd finish them up and now I'm going to have to redo half of them!"

Lilly glared as she managed to stand up. "Fine, whatever, ow!" She dropped the rose that had pricked her hand. She shook her hand and looked down to see a little bubble of blood growing.

Lilly looked down at him and shook her head as she took a step back. "I'm fine." She stuck her thumb in her mouth to keep the blood from getting anywhere else.
