No one's going to tell about the kidnapping, it'd just create complications for the story and it isn't the Ohtori SKU way. The characters will probably forget about it tomorrow, as they seem to do in the series too. (Like what happened at the end of the black rose arc with Nemuro Hall.) With all the rumors flying around campus, who can tell what's true anyway?

Oh yeah, I was wondering what happens when a character accumulates too many demerit points? How does the demerit system work?

Ah, yes. And guess what happens when you fail?

Isn't it a bit more degrading to an individual to assume that someone needs bribes to keep their mouths shut?

It would depend on the person I should think, since somehow I doubt Dorian would mind getting a bribe, or even Charlie depending on what it was. Not to mention it could be disguised as something else.

While on the other hand, if Gregor or Adrian had been there, they would be utterly mortified.

And I know no one would ACTUALLY tell Barentine, we all know that, but that wasn't exactly the point. It was just the supposed inplications of it.. And I figure, if you fail the test, you disappear x.x and everyone forgets you

Okay, Vale, my point was this: bribes are pretty low and sleazy, and Akio's not supposed to actually act like that. xd

Demerit points work like this:

Five demerits get you a detention and ten get you a suspension and a call home.

One week demerit system. Demerits erase and reset after one week, basically.

-1-3 demerits- goes on your record and report card. (All demerits are placed on report card and record, anyway.)
-4-5 demerits- letter sent home to parents, sent to guidance, detention and/or additional punishment decided by teacher/student council member
-6-10 demerits- letter sent home, sent to guidance, student may not be allowed in school functions, possible suspension.

I really pulled some of these punishments, by the way. Real demerit systems are loads worse.

Maybe you're right about having Sofie wake up with amnesia. Remembering it would lower her self-confidence... and I can't be playing two totally demoralized characters. =/ Although this wouldn't be as crippling as Adrian's "setback," it would make her less cheerful and more paranoid. Although she'll need some excuse for the bruise on her forehead, remember?

An excuse is not necessarily needed. She'll make one up herself. Have you ever had a bruise you didn't remember getting? xd

"Wha? I don't remember falling out of bed in my sleep... Ouch! I have a bruise!"

Posts like these remind me of how terrifying Akio is. So, let me get this straight, if Hugo Victor "never attended Ohtori" then that means all trace of him is wiped from memory, like he never existed. So am I right in thinking that Bade's writings on Hugo would disappear and Sofie wouldn't recall her kidnapper/being kidnapped?
