@AD----Y'know, I had a friend who used to live in Ohio ( near Cleveland, I think ), and she said the snow wasn't that bad. I'm more inclined to think that she was just crazy though.
Well, we had to stay at school through hurricanes and multiple tornadoes. And a wayward bird hunter.
@LANGWIFEY----You abandoned our child and now I have to raise a blue robodaughter by myself! Where's my child support? :'(
Hurr. I want to see your scarf collection. I've never /needed/ scarves before, so when I could finally get them I kind of went crazy. x3 I'm going to have 7 or so by the end of the year I think.

Nyo: Exactly! Now you've figured it out. I myself got frostbite last week because my winter books were stuffed in the basement and I could not find them so I wore my normal shoes and ended up having to wait 40 minutes for a bus.
You've not really experienced winter until you've gotten frostbite. ^^; Just like you aren't Canadian until you have frozen your tongue to something metal. it's just one of these constants.

Laitue Just like you aren't Canadian until you have frozen your tongue to something metal. it's just one of these constants. does an icecube count? ;D~ ok damn. everybody knows about the huge storm that hit the midwest, yadda yadda.  15+ inches for northwestern missouri + 3 inches of ice underneath it and they STILL made us go to class. gonk granted, a lot of teachers cancelled due to pissed-offness and an inability to find a decent parking space. but none of mine did, AND i still had to wade in the snow to work at 6am. ;( you would think that since a national state of emergency was declared and the fact that 19 people are now -dead- due to hypothermia and no power in missouri and illinois, they could have at least called classes off so people could stay at home and be safe. [/bitching and whining] *puts hoshi in a big safe bubble* i think it's customary, everyone has to get sick at least once during winter. D:

AD: Yes it does. Weclome to the Federation. canada is so totally a Federation. Capitals are needed!
And FFXII is horribly addictive. Though somehow I am a very intense level whore despite not really trying to whore till a little while ago. I got to level 51 without whoring at all.. which is a higher level than all the end bosses. >.< Then i got this thing that doubles your exp and.. it was all over from there. I am level 59 and hope to achieve level 99. Whcih is possible consideringt hsi games MASSIVE amount of side quests and shizzat.
axel: Oh yes it does. I myself have, in addition to metal, frozen my tongue to a fudgsicle. Which reaaaaaaaaally hurts.
In addition.. HO LEE crap letter cost an arm and a leg all of a sudden. ;-; I was gonna buy one but I do not have the mooolah for that. It's crazeeee!

axel - It's amazing what some people will tolerate before realizing just how bad the weather is. Silly humans.
Laitue - OK, you have to give me some reassurance here. I'm 15ish hours into the game and...I hate it. God, I HATE it. The characters are dull, the storyline is pathetic and the battle system makes me want to throttle Square-Enix. Not to mention...why is everyone British? Except for the Marquis (and if they say "Mar-kwis" one more time, I'm alerting the French), who seems to be Indian. The graphics actually seem to be a step down from FFX-2. Vaan's skeletal structure confuses and frightens me (have you seen his ribcage? It's inverted or something...). And so on and so forth. And I paid $50 for this garbage? Tell me it gets better, please?

I ish a sick girl. All because of the snow an the broken atm that stopped me from getting a taxi. Oh and the immune system of a small child, go me. So once more my doctor is stuffing me full of vitamin C and god nows what else, I'd rather not know. It's not that it bad I just have to be careful and keep up my immune system so that I don't end up bed ridden like normal. So for now I need to try to like cute while having tissues sticking out of my nose. (If it not there I look worse.) Work is a pain because of the people asking me why it's in my nose, but I made I sign so I could just tap it.
axel - Thank for the bubble, I wish it would have worked.
FFXII - I still haven't to. uched it, in fact my game pile is growing. Either way if AD doesn't like it I'm getting worried. Everything I look for in a game AD said was bad, I need those thing to be good or I stop playing.

AD: What part are you at for the 15 horus though? It doesn't really start to pick up till you leave Bhujerba. I myself am 60 hours in and not clsoe to the end. SO MANY SIDEQUESTS O>O My characters are half level 61 and half level 33. I am such a whore.
How can you hate the battle system!111 xd Once I was playing it late at night and fell asleep, the characters just kept on fighting. YAY GAMBITS!
The characters grow on you. ^^ Or atleast they did for me, though I liked Fran and Bathier right off the bat. And as for the accents everyone from a different place has a different accent. The Archadians have British accents, the Dalmascans seem to not really have one, the Bhujerbans have an Indian accent, and the Rozzarians have a kind of Spanish/Italian thing going on.
Oh, the Mar-KWIS thing makes me did a little each time I hear it. I will find whomever told them to pronounce it that way and kill them. Painfully.
The CG graphics are made off smex. And Vaans "abs" annoy me too, I think they're supposed to be abs at least.

At this point, I do not recommend that you waste your money on it. I'll let you know if I change my mind.
Laitue - I'm headed towards some group (Garif?) in the south because Ashe doesn't know how to use the stupid Dawn Shard. Every plot point so far has been expected and....ugh. What makes me crazy is that there's no follow-up at all. Penelo was kidnapped and brought safely back, but...no one informed Migelo, and he was begging Balthier to save her. Also, no one questioned why those thugs would take her. What do they have against Balthier? No one seems to care, not even Vaan. Baddies took girl, got girl back, the end. The characters don't interact at all, but they stick together. Someone asked Vaan what HE wanted and Vaan had no answer. I'm not surprised. I don't know why this group is together, either.
Best no-interaction plot development so far:
Vaan to Basch - I hate you! You killed (spoiler)!
An hour of gameplay later, during which they have exchanged no friendly words at all:
Vaan to Basch - Oh, nevermind. You're a good guy. I guess you didn't do it.
Regarding battles: call me oldschool, but I like to be NEEDED for victory. stare

Um, yeah... I'm alive. biggrin Haha, sorry about the lack of being around but you know how life goes.
Rurgh, I did manage to find a job in my absence though. Well, okay technically the job found me, as I wasn't actually looking for job... xP But considering my workload, the $12.50 an hour is extremely worth it.
Anyway, AD, I must say your sig is all kinds of awesome... though perhaps I find it more amusing due to lack of sleep? xD

Oh, and congrats on being alive. Jolly good and all.
And thanks. I created it out of lack of sleep, so I suppose it only seems funny to those who suffer from a similar condition. I tried a lot of phrases but eventually settled on this. For a short time, the reindeer was saying "I pity da foo," but that made me laugh so hard I got worried and changed it.

AD: Actually it is explained why the thugs kidnapped her, in the scene when you're in the prison with Balthier and Fran. The thugs saw that she was with Balthier and that Balthier gave her something, so they assume the two are tight. The thugs are bounty hunters that are after the bounty on Balthier's head, in order to lure him into a trap they kidnap Penelo. Vaan's like, "This is your fault weirdo." and makes Balthier come along to rescue Penelo.

Laitue - Ah, now that you mention it, I do remember a bit of that. But I remember having the impression that it simply wasn't enough. I barely remember Vaan's reaction - I still don't think he had much of one. Migelo was the one who bitched Balthier out.
What really, really bugs me is the forced closeness the characters are showing, when there's nothing leading up to it. In fact, they take an awful lot in stride.
